One of the best videos of Rameshji where he clearly explains his concept which led to his awakening and gives a practical guide for seekers to follow. Need to listen many times - with the heart!
The Ultimate Concept ! Thank You Guruji, Cosmic Law was indeed speaking through this three dimensional object called Ramesh, so clear and compassionate, what a patience ! OM🙏
What an amazing Satsang. And he is right about enlightenment not being a certified event. In my humble opinion the proces of Self-realisation is like a school, but then a school where you unlearn any-thing mainly conditioning, concepts and beliefs and where you have to give back every certificate or degree you got before, cause you (by peeling off like an onion) found out that it was never you who got anything, did anything.
Gratitude and hats off to the energy, love and patience shown by the master to this gentlemen despite repeated circular questions. That to at the age of 91 putting in so much energy. like a lamp burning only to radiate and illuminate other-the listeners in this case. Even after and hour of such questions how lovingly he says “please” go ahead and feel free to ask and does not give up on the gentleman. Feeling grateful I could here all the beautiful thoughts that came out. I did not know of him today until today and I feel lucky I do now. It’s destiny I guess!. Thanks to who so ever is uploading.
Amazing debunking of the concept of Enlightenment ❣️🙏 Thankyou and grateful to Rameshji and Atul too, I can totally relate to his questions. Atul did exactly what was in his destiny, cosmic law, God's will😊
Know pleasure.. Enjoy.. Have pain.. Seek happiness.. Have Life as undercurrent.. Happiness is nothing to do with life But its about my ATTITUDES to LIFE
True. I assume enlightenment will make me happy, or lead to less suffering. This is my first time listening to this man. As I listened I realized that all that I perceive is happening to nobody. The I that perceives his happening to nobody. Then I thought, why am I so certain that this is the case? I realized i want to believe it because I assume that the belief will bring me more pleasure than pain. I find that this is not the case. Its is merely a belief and has no baring on whether there is pleasure or pain. Even if it is true that I am nobody, I still don't know it yet. I may never know but for a realization of an ever deepening acceptance. All teachings are fingers pointing to the moon. The question asked was "so should I repeat it as a mantra, or do I need the help of a guru at a key moment in order to attain enlightenment?" The answer, as I see it, is, 'Ask yourself who you are as long as it allows you to be who you are. Happiness does not come from concepts.'
Not a mantra. Try this, ask, "Who am I?" And without using a thought, memory, concept, or perception find an answer. This will take you beyond the concepts of the mind.
There are lots of videos of Ramesh Balsekar on RUclips. I would suggest you watch as many as you can and just listen without allowing your mind to jump in and disagree with the concepts he hands down . No mantras are required only to st quietly and ask what actions today were my actions …to enquire this way ( with the Will of god) the ego will realise it is not the doer.
Happiness or pleasure or pain or concepts or Enlightenment - occur (come) to you on their own. There's nothing in the world "you" can do to get it or avoid it. Because there's no "you" already! It, however, "appears" that you are some entity. You can't do "anything" to remove yourself from the equation because you aren't present already. There's ONLY Enlightenment!!
the most enlightening thing I hear is when he said about self investigation by sitting and seeing how a thought comes without even we realising and then we just decide to act on it or not, very profound, thanks for uploading this video, it answers many queries and purely an enlightening thing to hear, thank you so much.
@@otg1433 The acceptance Ramesh is talking about is not a personal acceptance ,it's impersonal , it doesn't mean that the imaginairy self is accepting everything .Acceptance is maybe not the right word .
@@Cameronfait Once there was a psychologist who asked Ramesh what the truth was and Ramesh replied ; When you think about it ,it's a concept ,when you don't think about it ,it's the truth ;.The mind will never get this and all the seeking is done by the mind .But seeking happens and there's nothing wrong or right about that ,it's just what's happening .
Atul didn’t understand that the whole question about Enlightenment arose from his Ego. Once his Ego is no longer in the forefront of his sense of existence then not only will he lose the question but the seeker in him will also cease and result in Enlightenment. Enlightenment is the ‘concept onion’ that you start peeling, in the hopes of getting to its core. You strip layer after layer and in the end the whole concept vanishes.
I believe that you may have missed the point? The point is that there is no such thing as "enlightenment" because in a sense only enlightenment is! Everything (and everyone) is a an absolutely perfect single whole that is the manifestation of the Absolute. And everything manifest is as it is and could not be any other way than what it is. So who is there to be enlightenment? Enlightenment already is! Manifest Existence itself IS absolute perfection and thus all are already "enlightened". Some seemingly individuated subjective units of consciousness simply experience consciousness in their own subjective way and thus label this conceptually as "enlightenment". As in something to be attained. There are no imperfections.
@@jamesmoore4827 I agree with all you said. Enlightenment cannot be viewed as an object or even a state because that term itself relates or references to another in a relative manner; to one who is “not” Enlightened. But for simplicities sake and to understand the concept we are using it verbally as an object. My apologies as well to Atul as well because I don’t mean any offense when I stated my opinion and decided to “think” on his behalf what he understood or didn’t. I think once one can settle their locus of attention inward toward the true self then there is only true love for everyone and everything around them and it radiates out. Hope I can get there someday even if it comes at the cost of Enlightenment ( the concept of which I believe is the hanging carrot tied with a rope at the end of a moving stick in front of the Donkey (me))

Is there a litmus test for enlightenment. It's true that just because we studied theology we are not yet enlightened. Now that there actually is, the spiritual heart is open. What was Raman's experience at Turtle Rock? This is the lacmus test because everyone can only answer for themselves.
By the way, the symbol of the yogis is a turtle. But Ramana was not a yogi like Pramahansa Yogananda or others who talk so much about the centers in the head. There was someone who showed the world for the first time the true connection between the body and God. @@michaelmcclure3383

Namaste to all. I agree with Jayashri. This confusion and idioticity is there in the beginning with every seeker of truth. But it's the greatness of a true teacher to accept this and guide on the right path which was done beautifully by The Revered Guruji. Confusion is also a destiny and removal of confusion by meeting Great Gurus is again destiny. I feel Atulji's question were genuine and this vedio is of immense help to the seekers. Sounds like a very basic level of awakening. Peace of mind . But the me and other still exist in this talk .
So you are more enlightened, more awakened?
Accept the Intensity of Pain..
Outside in others and inside yourself
Be selfish for your happiness = enlightenment conceived
Everything is unfolding as it should. Everything is inevitable...
How on Earth can anyone know that? Do you know the cosmic plan? Do you know that there IS a cosmic law by which everything that happens is inevitable?
