You start to question yourself. 1. If Thoughts come in randomly, without your control. Thoughts just appears in your Consciousness. Then you have no control about them. Obviously. Then who are you? Ramesh answers very good all this but to understand it intelectual is not enough because is like a class of biology ,etc. You must to work with your self deeply. Look at your self in relationship with all. How is your behaviour when you speak with friends, family, collegues, etc. Just witness without judgement. It is useful to write by hand in a Notebook about it. Take your time alone to enquire. Regards
I understand the teaching intellectually. I understand intellectually that there is no separate doer, and thus no reason to feel guilt, pride, shame, or blame. Nevertheless, it is my destiny to feel guilt, pride, shame, and blame and to feel like I am a separate doer. I have tried for many years to whitewash my experience with this intellectual understanding, but to no avail. I am only trying to spiritually bypass accountability and responsibility for my actions. I'm glad Ramesh says we are free to choose, despite there being no separate self to do the choosing. This may help prevent others from attempting to spiritually bypass their sense of responsibility as I have done. Good luck to you all. I hope it is your destiny to drop the mental conditioning that causes unnecessary suffering.
By flip he means when the understanding is there that there is no doer and the suffering goes away and by flop he means when the understanding is not there and the belief in doership returns as well as the suffering.

Like a gardener who uses tools and when he is done he puts them away, concepts are the same. Once you understand they are all concepts and you have used them for their intended purpose, then they are not necessary. Then you will have found that which the concept was pointing to in your own experience, which is the most important thing. Good luck.
