God Moves on the Water. Blind Willie Johnson recorded this in Deep Ellum, Texas, just down the street from my house many decades before I was born. God Moves on the Water
It feels strange that a 21 year old woman from the Netherlands happened upon four grown men singing sea shanties in a church in England, and actually really like it.
This is really cool, it really lifts my spirits . Perfect for a day when one is feeling the blues. It's sure to get you singin and a toe taping and a clappin along.

Kijk eens naar "bully in the Alley" van hetzelfde koor. Bedank me later maar haha
How times change. 300 years ago a Dutch girl hearing an English sea shanty wasn’t usually good news!
If you like this try Sean Dagher xD shanties are awesome 😀
Bless you. They are a lovely bunch of chaps!
Beautiful - seldom you can hear such a "full bodied" low C#. Natural singing with great voice without any mannerism - superb!
i caught a glance of myself in the mirror after watching this video. i noticed a mustache that hadn’t been there before.
I'll take "severely underrated comments" for $2000, please, Alex.
I just learned who john bromley is from a 9 year old video and I want more. I'm on a search for his voice!
These guys are just the sound I've been looking for to carry me through the end of 2021.
These guys are utterly fantastic, such powerful voices!
WOW what a fascinating change for them. I've never heard them do disaster songs, let alone one from a gospel singer! Thank you for posting this!
Exactly. I had no idea this group ever sang this kind of song.
Until now.
They are obviously very versatile.
Congratulations, Kimber's Men. ^___^
Really enjoyed the first song! I'm glad I found this. Keep up the good work. Love your Bully in the Alley.

Beautiful!
That voices...wow, just wow.
Beautiful. 🎶
Stunning as ever :-)
The Kimper people came all from the north of Jutland in Denmark
This is a shanty that strikes me as an African or Jamaican shanty. Beautifully rendered.
Long live the blood red roses !
The real deal!
a rendition from the Day Jobs quartet
молодцы
His voice reminds me of the lead singer of Kaleo
Wait what happend to the old guy
I know I'm late but he died in 2017 :(
@@smokemeakipper5407 Also read on another video he had cancer, upon returning to the band, wasn't 'missed' or wanted thus decided to continue solo.
RIP Joe Stead
Shame he didn't take his hat off I church. Trivial point maybe but respect goes a long way.
lol
Shame the church cant respect peoples choises to wear hats. Trivial point maybe but respect goes a long way.
maybe he is Jewish. Jews cover their head in the temple as a way to honor god
hejdk6 they obviously did. Dummy.
Churches are at best, monuments to unproven myths as such deserve no respect...
These fabulous voices on the other hand deserve a mountain of respect.
