Here is a short video of me restoring a Montblanc Pix from my collection. The pencil was produced in the 1930s in many different variants.

    Have fun watching.

Exceptional restoration, Marco. In truth, I hadn't realised that the "Pix" trademark was that old - so I've learned a valuable historical lesson here, in terms of MB writing instruments; that you are so skilled in manufacturing a tool to dress-out the significant dent in the barrel, is impressive.

Hi! Your videos are straight to the point, and really great!
I need some advice on a pretty obscure pen called the Romus Majestic: it is a demonstrator piston filler, pretty cheap- but I liked the look of it. I have no idea on how to disassemble the piston mechanism for cleaning and greasing- there's some ink behind the piston seal and I would like to clean it. How should I proceed?

Thank you for the nice praise.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with your problem. I don't know anything about this fountain pen brand. Sorry.

Hi, You have a new subscriber. This video and the previous ones, are great. I am a fountain pen collector and restoration videos are music to my eyes. Just an idea and because I had some issues about this topic: try making a video on how to repair a crack in a celluloid pen.. Regards from Lisbon/Portugal.

Hello, thank you for your compliments and comment.
What questions do you have about "repairing a crack in the celluloid" ? Maybe I can help you.
On RUclips you can find some videos about this.
      Best regards

@@MSPens Hi, what is the best method for gluing celluloid and is there more than one way to do it.

So celluloid can of course be glued very well with acetone. However, you can also break a lot with it.
If you use too much, even surfaces that are good are attacked or threads become unusable because the threads become soft and bend.
For very small cracks, I usually try to carefully widen the crack and then apply a tiny drop of acetone into the gap with a needle.
Another way is to dissolve old celluloid pieces in acetone and then use this mixture, which is a bit thicker, as glue. But even here, caution is advised, because this mixture may also attack surfaces that are good. If you let it dry long enough, then you can apply it in layers and fill larger cracks.
I hope I could help you a little further.
