I prefer the Wilson A2000 catchers mitt, i just prefer the shape and for some reason i find the leather on the A2000 to be thicker and nicer than the Rawlings heart of hide or even the all star pro elite, although the pro elite is my second favorite and is a great mitt... I just prefer the A2000 when it comes to catchers mitts i think it looks better, has the biggest easiest to catch pocket and to me easily feels the thickest and nicest leather wise, i also really prefer the bottom lip thing in the pocket, for me the all star is a bit to big and the rawlings is the opposite , to thin.. the A2000 is just right and is a better shape for me. Im the opposite of you, while i hate the rawlings catchers mitt, its the worst of all of them and honestly theres a 90 dollar under armor catchers mitt id use before the rawligs.. that said, Rawlings heart of the hide golden gloves are EASILY my favorite fielding gloves, and i dont like the A2000 fielding gloves.. the rawlings fielding glove is a bit looser on your hand and has a bigger pocket where for me the wilson fielding glove is tight, like a more shallow pocket and harder to break in. I love the rawlings fielding gloves and hate the catchers mitt, and just the opposite when it comes to wilson who only makes one glove i like but it happens to be my favorite glove of all having caught throughout hs and college. Anyway, sorry for the novel and again, my second favorite catchers mitt is the all star, its a great mitt although it runs 150 bucks more than the mitt i prefer in the A2000 which is 300 bucks, the all star pro elite will set you back 450

Mitt used by more than ONE catcher will get floopy way faster! My son used his big bro HOH color sync 2.0 his freshman year and it had be broken in to "his hand" although oldest son used it for what jt year he did have (cov) and his senior! Now this year the JV didn have mitt so another kid had use my sons HOH and he also pitches so the backup had to use it for bullpens...thats 4 hands in mitt if add the year his older brother used it! At start if lastyear he eveb had use his old R9 (good mid glove for midschool) first half freshman year cause the HOH was having doinkage! He only used it when catching the kids over 80 (yes he caught 50% time at V as freshman) He caught few minor leagues players bullpen this past offseason and got it "right"for HIM! THEN SCHOOL started and 2 others started using it catching him and another throwing over 80...long story longer it went from not "right" to floppy after the 3 hands breaking it in the THREE DIFF PLACES AND WAYS! I now have him the 34 inch ProElite and after one machine receiving session its "playable"! The 33.5 seemed and felt lile the 32 R9 so thats why went to the 34 (100% stiched on webb) and son luvs it! He said its more the "angle" ya hand goes into it than it is the size! He said the HOH 34 he has to force his hand to point of thumb down to get mitt flat to frame...the all-star 3000 he dont have go two in pink to get that angle he likes with parallel to ground thumb! We also dont so high elbow "back hand" jab and jerk style that has been taught lately yet see GOING BACK to "picking cheeries" amd soft hands after passed balls was up over 20% for collage and minor past 2 years! YA STICK it on corners and get around the "ball out" so ball takes ya back INTO ZONE and not look crazy tryn snatch a pitch 6 inches OUT the zone on batter box line! Putting mitt on ground may get 2 ir 3 lowball calls a game yet dont get tjose curves if dont match the angle! ANYWAY...YES after HOH experience we went ProElite after almost got Pro Perferred in a 33!

My son has both Wilson A2000 M2 Superskin and All-Star CM3000SBK mitts. In my opinion, CM3000sbk is made of higher quality materials. However, the A2000 forms a better shape/pocket that wraps around the ball more securely. In contrast, the CM3000 pocket seems smaller and , therefore, more susceptible to rebound.

Jt got the all black 34 inch...cause the 33.5 seemed small compared to HOH 33 thats being used!
