If you see him now in interviews he is the same only a little more angsty. You can tell sometimes when he is not nervous than he talks normal and serious. The twilight fans (not me) where very crazy sometimes and the paparazzi too. I saw a video where he ask them in a nice way to let him go further with his car. but they corner him and he couldn't drive to home. That's so awful. Even if your job is an actor you should have some space.
