Could listen to hours of these two chatting, bounce so well off each other even if they have underlying issues with each other. Great chemistry and great listening
His radio voice is like delicious warm honey, wish he'd keep doing it. Loads of his Resonance fm stuff is on www.fistoffun.net. Downloaded it ages ago sorry I can't find it exactly now but the music isnt edited out. He's got incredible music knowledge and taste and is a really great interviewer too.
Not a problem! These shows weren't archived by the station, so we only have a few personal recordings from dedicated listeners. Saying that, there's quite a nice collection on the Fist of Fun website! All known recordings, with songs intact, can be found here: www.fistoffun.net/downloads-stew-resonance.php
Somebody else remembers Ludwig?!! I was starting to think that there were portions of my childhood that I'd hallucinated. Ludwig had a telescope? Was that bit real, too?
I never thought I would hear Mr Lee utter the band name 'Creed'! (Insert laughing emoji), which thinking about it would bed a great band name! (Insert laughing emoji I mean)
Ah, bless you copyright laws. Some of that music was probably really good, but I didn't hear it, so now I can't tell if it's worth buying. I'd imagine that none of it involved Feargal Sharkey, so it's probably all good from his perspective then, yeah?
Does Stew make up these bands and song names and label names and people he's met and places he's played? Sure sounds like it. Can't Stew ever like something with a normal name?
The thing about anecdotes, and memories in general, is that they tend to revolve around exceptional circumstances. All the normal, day-to-day stuff isn't particularly memorable or worth talking about.
Thank you for preserving and sharing this!
Saw Buxton's Edinburgh show in 2005. I was 20 and it was really really good. Such a genuinely underrated talent.
Would love to hear Stew on the Adam Buxton podcast
Me too! I would think Adam must have asked him at some point, maybe he was busy. (Still, here's hoping!)
This was 14 years ago! We need a reunion!
SirJambon hell yeah
@@InfiniteBotter He's done other podcasts semi regularly, so I hope they can find time to do one together. They've got great chemistry together.
It’s there now!

Do they/did they not like each other?
Thanks for the upload. I enjoyed that - two of my favourite comedians having a nice chit-chat! Couldn't be better.
2 of my very favourite people
for somebody who is seems quite hard to make laugh, stewart lee has one of the most delightful laughs i’ve ever heard
People assume that Stewart Lee exists in the physical realm, but I've been to one of his gigs, and he is actually a dimension! Who knew?
I think you have spelt ‘Stewart’ the way that Scotch people do.
Scottish ✌️
10:32 FTW
Good stuff! I enjoyed hearing the bits of NZ early punk!
wow! Stew playing NZ Punk! nice
What a find!
This was decent, I'd like to hear these two together again
I didn't really find this funny but I agreed the fuck out of it
This is the perfect outlet for Mr Lee, literally should have been born a DJ... radio 6 maybe? 🤔

You don't know what literally means
@@chattycathydoll You don't know what hyperbole is
Definition of a slow burn. When a year passes between each zinger.
When Hussein met Karadzic.
He come out Stew......
All the beard novelty talk is amusing to hear in 2020.
This is ace.
2005 seems an aeon ago let alone the 1970's
So, this Buxton documentary on the Fall. What happened there? I might a few pence to see that.
If I was a billionaire I would pay a CGI expert to remove emu from Parkinson's Rod Hull interview

Well done Crispfencer! Great find. Have you any more of Stewpot's Resonance shows? Preferably with the music left in? Fantastic anyway, cheers!

The Chocolate Watch Band are incredible.
yes
@@stevelivingstone4616 prefer the dirty pins tbh
John Peel has let himself go
Haha!
Anyone know what the animation is that Stewart mentions at 22:55 ?
Would like to know the answer to this as well. Struggled to find anything myself.
I remember the one he means. Like a cross between Mio Mao and The Red And The Blue.
The Keith Harris Surf commercial referenced at 11:36

Adam's kids :D
Whats that song by the chocolate watch band? sounds good.
shoeshiner100 yeah I’d like to find out too
Lets talk about girls.
1 minute in and Stew just casually told a story about an artist who held an entire charity event just to pay off a parking fine, genius.
Bit harsh on Shed Seven.
I never thought I would hear Mr Lee utter the band name 'Creed'! (Insert laughing emoji), which thinking about it would bed a great band name! (Insert laughing emoji I mean)
General Ratko Mladic has let himself go...
Jaffar the Prince of Persia's nemesis in the original 1989 release has let himself go.
Pavel has let himself go.
Fred lowe from my local job centre as let himself go
The singer from The Maccabees has let himself go.

I have but they died.
mr burns has let himself go
He sounds like a fat Terry Christian.
Ludwig was a British invention.... who would have thought !?
Didn't know Stew smoked, when did he give that up? Or does he still smoke?
I am a huge fan of Mr Lee, but this is 'portentous and dreary', and so much reminds me of jazz Club from Fast Show. sorry Stew, I really apologise.
Igxkymrzmt has let himself go, hahahahahahahahahahhahaha

mediocrity for the win!
Hehe.. You know, I once met a guy called John in a pub called The Red Lion. We drank some beer together. Good times. :-|
@@nagualdesign Did he have none or more legs? I think I had the same experience. Except for the beer part.
My dog has no nose. Was it censored by the USSR politburo resulting in your animator having his plasticine taken away? Yes.
Love Buxton, not so much Lee, I'm never convinced he really likes what he says he does
Yeah right. "Adam Buxton". Or should it be Mullah Omar! Oof, that's a beard for radio.
BOTH OF THESE PEOPLE ARE WORSE THAN THE OTHER, AND THEY DON'T CARE.
This was so bad I self-harmed while listening to it.
