Woah! This is SO informative, helpful, great! Cannot wait to explore, play around, see what articulated fun comes from these awesome skills! Our community is so awesome! You are amazing sharing, teaching, skilling up the rest of us. And in TinkerCAD. So much more approachable and easy to learn and use than the other CAD solutions.
You have given me the courage I need to finally create my own dragon. Thank you. I really appreciate you putting together this video. I'm definitely going to check out your other ones!
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos! This was easy to follow and I look forward to the next. I am new to 3D printing and very interested in making my own models. And yes, dragons ARE scary:)
✋️ dragons are kinda scary 😢😅 I like the premise of this channel, maxing out TinkerCads capabilities! With it, I didn't think I could make the snakes and dragons that you see everywhere but you just taught me otherwise! Going to watch the rest of the series. Thanks!
I have made some crazy cool stuff in tinkercad it is more powerful than people think. Some stuff I have made would probably be easier using Fusion. But my brain now thinks in Tinkercad I think of something I want to make and I know just how to go about it in tinkercad. In fusion I sometimes have to research how to achieve what I want to do.
That's great. Feel free to ask any questions. I've found that most of my students feel fairly comfortable with the software within a few minutes. However, the shortcuts and strategies are the things they miss without instruction. Enjoy the process.
I have just started watching this series, i wish i found it sooner, i would recommend calling it an articulating dragon because that s the keyword that most people search.
Dragons are kinda scary! Great Video! I have been looking for a tutorial on how these things were made, Fantastic job! You have earned a new Subscriber!
The result is great but I would love if you could edit some of the parts out, I was making it along with you and kept having to go back and change things instead of just doing it. I think this would make the video more concise and easy to follow along with.
the only problem im having is removing the bottom. When i click on the hole then the outer shell...It doesnt seem to wanna connect. It doesnt do anything thing when i hit Ctrl+G
I'm lost. When I cut the bottom of the "cone" shape, it becomes 31. You're saying yours is 25. If I start at 35 and remove 4 from the bottom...that's 31.
Thanks for the tips! I agree and have since written scripts for my videos. My students complained about having to change numbers while following along. I agreed so my videos are much cleaner now.

Whew! This makes me appreciate all the flexi designs more.
I know, right?

Go for it! My middle school students can do it. You can too!
@@Teaching3DPrinting ahahhaha so much pressure now.

I’m glad you liked it. I’m thinking of remaking it to make it more streamlined.

Glad you like them! My next two tutorials will include high density shapes in Tinkercad. It’ll be interesting.

How would you design a head or scales of said dragon?
I will make this today
Thank you! This was very detailed and to the point. I have saved each as a custom shape now and can just scale up and down as needed.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Thank you for this. I’m fairly new to tinkercad and 3d printing but excited to create my own designs and be able to teach my kids how to do the same.

Much appreciated for this! You're several steps above the average designer. I have an articulated predator model I'm needing to rejoint.
Thank You! Glad I could help!

Thanks. Good idea
Awesome video, I followed along and 3D printed the links.

This helped with the body and also because we have started to use 3d printers in class I didn't really have much knowledge, but this was really good 👍
Glad it was helpful!
I just found this, thank you. But would the centre of the vertical doughnut and the top front of the shell need supoorts?
At certain degrees you won’t supports. My goal in resigning this was to make sure you won’t need supports.
The result is great but I would love if you could edit some of the parts out, I was making it along with you and kept having to go back and change things instead of just doing it. I think this would make the video more concise and easy to follow along with.
I'll have to try to make it again next school year.
Great Video, also how do you get that little man to talk in the corner of the screen?
It’s from Adobe Animate. There a camera pointed at my face and it mimicked my movements.
@@Teaching3DPrinting Ah that’s brilliant and thank you very much for your reply, loving your videos :)

I replied to your other comment. Let me know if it works. Having the video helped.
Brilliant thank you.
You're very welcome!
How do the first ones the doughnut rings print in mid air with no supports? I'm new to this still learning here.
Actually, the angle of the doughnut allows for some of the previous layer to support the next layer.

Nevermind. You took it down 10, not 4. I'm good now;
Nice tutorial and you sound like Paul Giamatti
Great?! Now I"m going to be listening to his voice differently and mine too. 😂
@@Teaching3DPrinting I didn't mean that to be bad, just an observation 😂

It's always a good idea to rehearse your video before actually doing it. It'll make you look more professional and knowledgeable.
Its fine. More natural. Its more real than professional
