Love those old Silvertones. I have one of the single pick up models. Would love a Deluxe version like yours. Do you have the funky case with the built in amp?
That's a great question :-) Remember that half of Open G tuning is the same as standard (strings 2,3,4) , and then the other 3 strings are just down a whole step from standard tuning. They are wonderful - not too expensive if I remember rightly... I never had the case - apparently they amp etc are great though!
