I have two near me but I am in Scotond, One is Edinburgh where there are actually 3 of game shops one is in Sports Direct one is just a Game shop and one i never been so not sure about this one and the other I have in Glasgow. Thats nice to still have them as most of game shop in Sports direct are very poor in games on shelfs.
I got my steelbook and my game was lost in transit. Missus got the game and no steelbook Her second backup order had game and Steelbook lost in transit 😅 nightmare
Yea I haven’t used GAME for years. I do remember the good ol days like yourself though, I pre ordered one of the FIFA games, think it was FIFA 09, it came on release day and was with a “GAME exclusive” football and a t shirt. Our store is in the Sports Direct also, upstairs in the corner 😂 it’s tiny
Yeah, the CEX postage per item is annoying, I prefer picking items up in store to avoid the postage, but the problem is I only have one local store and the next closest one is around a 2 hour train journey - I guess Scotland has less CEX stores than England. I did recently buy two PS4 games and one PS5 and paid for the postage per item as in that (rare) case it was still cheaper overall than buying those games from other retailers.
I understand the delivery charge for CEX and how it can be an issue for some people. They should have a system where if they are from the same store the games from the same store are within that £3 delivery charge. If they 'absorbed the charge' then everyone would be doing that. Certainly a minimum spend for free delivery should be the way to go like most places. On the manual, if it is something really cool in them, like a map I certainly want the map. If its just a manual I don't really care :D
In Nottingham we have a GAME in Victoria centre shopping centre and another in the same shopping centre directly opposite in a House Of Fraser and I’m sad to say that one is better….
CEX business model won't last another 10 years , streaming services kill dvd and blu ray, console will eventually go digital and the used physical game market will dwindle
Game sent me an email saying I won’t be receiving the silent hill steelbook anymore as it’s out of stock and it was sent out on first come first serve basis. Even though I had pre ordered the game months ago. What a joke !
There is a Game in Liverpool city centre which is a proper stand alone shop and 4 doors down is a CEX 😊 the Game shop sells Lego and Pokemon products etc as well as new released games for Switch, Ps5 & Xbox one 😊 yea I had 100 items in my basket and they wanted to charge me £300 nearly so I cancelled the order so their loss 😊
As of the 16th I still hadn’t received the game itself (never mind the steelbook), at that point Evri tracking had been saying they had received the order and were processing for a week. Contacted Game who informed me the item had been marked as lost. Just asked them to cancel the order in the end, can live without the Steelbook and will just pick the game for a cheaper price later down the line.
There's a Game in Newcastle. My partner actually got me my PlayStation Portal from there. But it definitely doesn't feel the same as it did a few years ago.
Im having an absolute nightmare with GAME, bit of a long and confusing story. Pre ordered two copy’s of Silent Hill last year. After GAMES systems changed the pre order was none existent. Pre ordered 2 more copy’s in September and paid straight away. The original pre order payment was also taken just before release. So I’ve paid £250, have received 3 copy’s of the game ( missing one copy still 13 days after release ) can’t return one of the order’s until the 4th copy turns up. Only received one steelbook, have been told I won’t be receiving any more Steelbooks as they’re out of stock. The steelbook was the only reason ordered from GAME and paid £15 more than Amazon. The games I have received were posted in a plastic bag and 2 of the cases were smashed. The steelbooks were sent to stores to give out to anyone who comes in and buys the game I will never pre order from GAME again
I was able to get what they called the last external ps5 disc drive they will ever get in stock at that sports direct branch. They said they are getting the ps5 pro in stock on release but won't be selling the drive or doing a bundle that includes the drive. I had to also wait an hour to buy it because game staff member was on his lunch.
Am I imagining this or did CeX online give free delivery back in the day if you spent over £100? 🤔 They should offer a postage discount when spending a certain amount or a certain number of items in one transaction. Great video!
I live in Ellesmere Port we have a Game and down the road in Birkenhead also have a Game. Also anyone able to travel to Birkenhead Trade & Play is well worth a visit
I wish CeX would just compensate you with store credit when you pay the delivery fee multiple times and the items come from the same store, it'd make sense for them too since I'd then be more likely to buy from CeX again
Nottingham has a physical GAME store that is not in Sports Direct, and then it has a second GAME store literally just across from it in a House of Fraser, very odd
I went into get the store called game which is in sports direct and whey told they only received 3 copy's of silent hill 2 remake so they can sell it on the day it's crazy I would expect them to have way more copies than 3
I don't know how a company can be so incompetent, I loved GAME as a kid, in Northern Ireland it was THE game store. The whole pre-order system is a mess but I managed to get my Steelbook 4 days after release and then I just got the game itself on Saturday there. It's been a mess!
Idk how anyone can leave a mean comment on your videos. You seem chill, i get that gaming isn't for everyone but if you don't like somebody why not just ignore their content? But yeah sorry you get the hate, you're a chill dude. 10/10 would recommend you to my friens
GAME is a disaster, no one should buy from them ever again. Yeah i mean i would like to own a game complete but aint forking over a 100 pound for one dang manual. I just rather find a copy CIB or just keep the one i have as long as i still have the box and game in question while annoying would be enough for me. I just wish there was a way to make replicas of menua much like they can for front covers.
Back from college and gym in the afternoon and the 2nd Cayle vid of the day . Simply amazing
Didn't even preorder the steel book. I went in, bought the basic game and the guy threw in a steel book for free as he had a few left 😂
😂 they've done that to me before but mainly because I knew a guy 😉
There is still a GAME in Stoke Potteries Centre, staff are helpful and know what they are doing . Which sounds like an upgrade from your experience 😊
Big fan of the videos, keep up the good work 👊
Nice bloke doing awesome things
We aren’t getting the steelbooks delivered I messaged game on twitter and they said they don’t have any more so I can have £5 compensation

There's a game on argyle street Glasgow still. It is very small and half the shop floor is lego and merch
There is a Game in Livingston shopping centre, although I'm sure a gamestore in the gaza strip is probably better stocked 😅
There's still a Game in Birkenhead town centre, it's all getting redeveloped though so it may not be there for much longer.
There’s a game in Ilkeston, however it hardly had any games in the shop
It's now 21st October and my Game exclusive Silent Hill 2 steelbook still hasn't arrived
I have a GAME near me in Brighton but I haven’t used GAME since buying my PS5 online.
There is a GAME in Merry Hill shopping centre, it is genuinely a sorry state to look inside these days.
On the topic of that, there’s also one in West Bromwich which also looks hella depressing
Can you do timelines on where certain topics start? 🙏🙏
I'm waiting for my steelbook STILL and it the 21st
I got my steelbook and my game was lost in transit. Missus got the game and no steelbook
Her second backup order had game and Steelbook lost in transit 😅 nightmare

Have you ever thought about collecting different versions of consoles? Like the 50th anniversary PS5 that comes out soon.

Nottingham has two games, about 100m away from eachother. One is an actual store for game, one is inside house of fraser for some reason??
In Nottingham we have a GAME in Victoria centre shopping centre and another in the same shopping centre directly opposite in a House Of Fraser and I’m sad to say that one is better….
Acording to companies house, CEX uk lost nearly a million last year.
Not sure where you are reading that, group accounts show profit of £4.1m
@@Achilles204 dig a little deeper my friend.
CEX business model won't last another 10 years , streaming services kill dvd and blu ray, console will eventually go digital and the used physical game market will dwindle
Not received my SH2 steel book yet but i did get an email from game for a SH2 cancellation🤷♂️
There's a game in Nottingham in the victoria centre shopping centre but we also do have one in a sports direct in Nottingham also
Game sent me an email saying I won’t be receiving the silent hill steelbook anymore as it’s out of stock and it was sent out on first come first serve basis. Even though I had pre ordered the game months ago. What a joke !
And now Black Myth Wukong has announced a physical shadow drop, no one shouldn't pre order at game, it's limited as it is
Really? I’ve been waiting for the physical release.
1:22 HMV used to sell games as I remember getting Minecraft for PS3 back when it released there in Hatfield
I went to a game in Bradford that wasn’t in a sports direct but it’s closing down
As of the 16th I still hadn’t received the game itself (never mind the steelbook), at that point Evri tracking had been saying they had received the order and were processing for a week. I will never pre order from GAME again
There is a game in Brighton shopping centre but it’s very small and they never have stock
Bristol still has a Game - although they just refitted it and seemingly took most of the games out...
I remember whn they ust to change 1 charge for everything you order
I was able to get what they called the last external ps5 disc drive they will ever get in stock at that sports direct branch. How many times I’ve contacted Currys to get my game loads of times

Tesco no longer sells games and haven’t since April
Only supermarket that sell games anymore is Asda that’s because Argos is inside Sainsbury’s
I live in Ellesmere Port we have a Game and down the road in Birkenhead also have a Game. Also anyone able to travel to Birkenhead Trade & Play is well worth a visit

Or even maybe 50% off delivery over certain amount in your order then a 100% off delivery over another amount
What steel books are you after? Maybe do a video for it I would like to send my spares ones I have which are no use to me any more
Bring back Woolworths and Dixons... and... Virgin megastores.
We still have a game in the metro centre in Gateshead but it is mostly toys 😂
There’s 3 games here close to eachother, Liverpool, Birkenhead and Cheshire oaks
Same ting in the uk have not got my copy of silent hill 2 yet uk
The metrocente has a standalone Game and one incorporated into the sports direct. Neithe have many games though.
Nottingham has a physical GAME store that is not in Sports Direct, and then it has a second GAME store literally just across from it in a House of Fraser, very odd
Got an email saying my steel book was cancelled from my order.

The GAME in Merry Hill is its own shop.
Tbh I don’t think GAME will still be in business by the end of 2025, their decline seems so rapid.
I don't know how a company can be so incompetent, I loved GAME as a kid, in Northern Ireland it was THE game store.
The whole pre-order system is a mess but I managed to get my Steelbook 4 days after release and then I just got the game itself on Saturday there. It's been a mess!
Steelbook? I cant even get a physical copy of the game lol
Idk how anyone can leave a mean comment on your videos. You seem chill, i get that gaming isn't for everyone but if you don't like somebody why not just ignore their content? But yeah sorry you get the hate, you're a chill dude. 10/10 would recommend you to my friens
Merry hill shopping centre 👍
Still no steelbook:(
Should message game I ordered mine last month, messaged them and they said they run out and gave me £10 I probably won’t use..
Bristol has a game store
Does the hate get to you? Think that’s why I couldn’t do social media as it would just get to me too easily as I overthink stuff.
Merry hill and reddich
GAME is a disaster, no one should buy from them ever again.
