No complaints from me, it rocks and adds such a fun wrinkle to the game's combat! I'm facing the same problem trying not to incorporate it into every single build lol
@@TytanR3x I had the same issue when I first tried to used it. It only requires some practice to get the timing down, preferably with a colossal sword, because they have good guard boost and you won't get guard broken immediately if you fail. After some time, you will be deflecting everything in the game.
@TytanR3x anything works! Maybe try a ng+ run with a colossal and use the tear for all the bosses you find in your way. It works wonders against almost all of them and some get shredded by it, like Elemer and the bell bearing hunters, Rellana, Godfrey, etc...
The Black Blade is one of my favorite weapon designs. I just love the jagged/broken weapon vibes. Just wish it wasn’t a colossal weapon and the Ash of War was faster.
I wish you could restore this weapon to its "former glory" like some other weapons in previous FromSoft titles that required additional playthroughs. Maliketh's version is cool but if the player had a godslaying weapon unique only to them would be fitting considering the purpose of the tarnished.
Try a dual wielding eclipse shotel build with the regal omen bairn. Not the strongest build but with the right buffs its actually pretty effective and real stylish.
8:46 Did anyone else noticed that the Rotten Butterflies damaged Romina? Later in the fight she does the spell again, but it doesn't hurt her. I wonder what happened. Can't find anything on Fextra about it.
Still low key bitter they nerfed Black Blade and Black flame in the dlc… basically shafted my “Successor to the Black Blade” build I made out of respect for my boy, Maliketh.

i always loved colossal weapon guard counters, even before deflecting hardtear. i get it!
Yeah colossals were fantastic even prior to DHT. Good guard and damage negation. And they slapped hard!
