Route 231: Metroline London: VW1191 (LK11CYE) Volvo B9TL/ Wright Gemini 2

Slightly longer video today than I was expecting, even after being chopped in the editing suite. Today we have a bus that moved from West to North. We have Metroline B9 VW1191.
LK11CYE was new 2011 as part of a contingent of Wright Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs headed to Metroline, which were new to Perivale East (PA) garage for take-up of route 105, the bus remained at PA when the 105 was won by RATP London United. VW1191 was new redeployed for take-up on West End route 31. VW1191 then moved to Potters Bar (PB) garage when the 31 moved to Willesden Junction (WJ) with new Volvo MCV Hybrids.
Route 231 runs from Turnpike Lane Bus Station to Enfield Chase Station via Westbury Avenue, The Roundway, Cambridge Roundabout, Great Cambridge Road, Southbury Road and Enfield Town. The 231 dates back to May 1954 as a replacement for route 144B and at varying points in its history reached Forty Hill, Carterhatch, Brimsdown Station and even Waltham Cross; and ran with an eclectic variety including RT's, Swifts, Fleetlines, Metrobuses, Ailsas, Scania N113s, Darts, Tridents and Enviro400s.
VW1191 is powered by a Euro 5 Volvo D9B engine coupled to a Voith D864.5 4-speed automatic gearbox. Do hope you enjoy.
