    Fyi dudley is the man for being able to do center serving with the string still on the bow. For us meer mortal less experienced ppl if you dont want peep twisting or seperation issues take the string off. Put it under 350 pounds of pressure. Use flagging tape to ensure the string isn't twisting while serving. Invest in a high end serving tool like the beiter winder.

    So you’re saying, you don’t have to go through the berger hole when you’re setting your center shot? That doesn’t affect Broadhead tuning either?

  • @Bluesplayer789
    @Bluesplayer789 Год назад

    Another great video. With the arrow rest putting the arrow slightly higher against the Berger hole, does the d loop then have to be a raised a bit also? If so do you then just time the draw stops accordingly?

    Crazy how all these years string manufacturers can't put a center serving on that doesn't separate.

    I bought an EVL 34 last year and although I “luv” the bow, the string sucked! In less than 1K the string was “fuzzing” up hard. I had to replace it by about 3K. It was literally unsafe to shoot. I just picked up my Mach 34 to partner with the EVL. I’m only a couple hundred arrows into that unit and yes, the factory string is just barely getting fuzzy…already. I don’t abuse my bows, I don’t carry them by the strings, etc etc. When not in use, they are hung on hooks. I recently changed my EVL to a Threadz Bloodline. I’ve never used this brand but after a couple thousand shots, it’s still looks brand new. Looks like I’ll be needing to order a new one for the Mach sadly.

    Hi coach, great video as usual. Two quick questions: Which string wax do you recommend? (My string is starting to frazzled a bit).
    Next, I'm in the market for a versatile, durable, adjustable, customizable, and comfortable thumb release aid. Any recommendations?

    • @nockonarchery
      @nockonarchery  Год назад

      For sure the Nock2it for a release. There’s so many reasons why it’s the clear favorite to people. As for the “wax” we have a poly metric string treatment that is next level! It’s on our website. shop.nockonarchery.com/collections/archery-gear/products/custom-polymeric-bowstring-wax

    Shouldn't the center of the arrow run through the center of the berger button/hole? That way it would be centered on the bow, no? If you have it higher/lower then isn't the energy put into the arrow from top and bottom limbs different and resulting in tail high/low tears?

    • @jhuntley575
      @jhuntley575 Год назад

      That's just a good starting place but many times bows shoot best a bit above or below center of burger. Limb deflection variations bow design along with other factors come into play.

    When you wax you string do you rub it in with your fingers or just let it sit on the surface?

    • @nockonarchery
      @nockonarchery  Год назад

      I work it in with a piece of leather. Wax isn’t the best thing available nowadays. We have a string treatment at our website that is awesome. You will totally feel the difference if you apply it. Super cheap and will last you a lifetime

    John, could I tie my limb driven rest cord to the yoke splitter on a Prime (Black 3) bow? It has a longer travel path than the limbs, is that ok?

    • @nockonarchery
      @nockonarchery  Год назад

      I haven’t personally done a prime to test but on my Hoyt’s I made a hole in the yoke splitter and did it there. This is something so easy to try and find out.

    I always thought the arrow needed to be centered in the Berger hole. Apparently not though cause your bow shoots just fine.
    Unite ordered ✅

    • @nockonarchery
      @nockonarchery  Год назад +2

      Your arrow position has a lot to do with how your bow holds. It varies a lot even with the arrow at the bottom of a hole compared to the top. Where the manufacturer positions the grip has the biggest factor. I design mine so that the arrow can be a little higher which offers more broadhead clearance to your front fingers too!

    I don’t get the “hunting bow and tag bow set ups” why can you just set it up for one thing then use it for the other. I’m still new to archery so don’t rip off my head

    • @nockonarchery
      @nockonarchery  Год назад +1

      My hunting bows can be up to 80 lbs, a lot easier to pull a lighter poundage when I'm shooting all day!
