Huh, I live in Louisiana and you could imagine how humid and buggy it gets. I like hammock camping here because it's more airy than a tent, plus I'm off the ground away from bugs and water. But mosquitos are always an inconvenience. I will be picking up this net when the money comes around. Thanks for the review
Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment! I completely agree with your comment! If you pick this bug net up, I would love to hear what you think about it! I think you will like it, a lot! -Dave
Just bought this for my first time hammock-ing tomorrow, great video! Wanted to make sure I could set it up properly the first time, and now I feel very confident. Thanks for the great explanation and video!
Thank You for a great video presentation. I am about to embark on my second section hike of the AT in the Smoky Mountains in June. I am leaving the tent at home and taking my hammock this year, bought the bug net and had no idea how to set it up. Now thanks to you and your amazing step by step process and explanations i will not look like an amatuer out there this year.. thanks again
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your very nice comment! I really appreciate that! I am glad I could be of some assistance! You are going to look like a pro out there..haha! Let me know how it goes! -Dave
Great review on ENO bugs net, i like hammock for a quick snooze or resting, the bugs net would help resting in peace. I was once told, there is no bad weather, there is only bad equipment... Thanks for sharing. Kindly Yves.
Thank you for the kind words, Yves! This net definitely helps in allowing you to rest in peace! I am a huge believer in no bad weather, just bad gear and bad preparation! I appreciate you taking the time to swing by, my friend! -Dave
A bug net is a MUST HAVE if you live in an area that is laden with bugs. We've had ticks here since the beginning of February. So I've been netting it most of the year. The wolf spiders are horrible this year. I have a bite for two months that still won't heal up. Bug season in Oklahoma is a mad house. I've spent most of my hammock years without a net. The net has saved me tons of cash on bug sprays and lotions. ha ha ha I bought my wife a net this year that goes all the way to the ground and it has a floor. You can even as take the flooring down. It's white netting and my wife has a pink hammock. She calls it her Princess Chalet. ha ha Great video and it looks nice and cozy. Keep it up, brother.
Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment, Jonathan! I completely agree! Your wife's setup sounds awesome! Nice to hear from you, brother! -Dave
Before I bought this product I was not sure about the specifics. Thanks for the information, a great presentation, a lot of very good information presented in an easy to understand format!
When you toggled the end of the net from the hammock to the ridge line for the net. The distance between the two was reduced a good 50 %. ( 4:39 minute mark). Why not just lower the ridge line of the net so it would be more like a ridge line for the hammock. That would give you even more netting under the hammock. By the way , Congratulations you are the 1st person on You Tube that has done it correctly. Without the bottom of the hammock in contact with the bug net. With the two contacting each other it will let mosquitoes bite your backside.
Hi, Nick! Not many bugs to deal with sounds really nice! If you don't prepare here, the bugs can ruin your whole time in the woods! Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
I am becoming a toggle convert! Great vid as always. Keep up the good work! Your channel will continue to grow. You've added several hundred since I subscribed a short while ago.
Great hammock system Dave. I like it a lot amigo. I own the SNUGPAK pro force jungle hammock mosquito net tent with the SNUGPAK all weather shelter tarp. I use the eagle nest outfitters atlas suspension hammock straps. I could use the net system that you have with the SNUGPAK tropical hammock. You just gave me a great idea. Gracias
Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, Carlos! Sounds like an excellent system you have there and I think you would love the bug net! -Dave
Hi Yves! Great to hear from you, my friend! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your nice comment! I hope everything is going well for you! -Dave
Hey stranger. :) I'm a big fan of this one too. I picked it up at the same time as my double nest and found it to be a good setup. Very well demonstrated Dave. Always a good video from you my friend. Be well Craig
Hi, Craig! Thank you for the kind words! I am glad to hear that you enjoy the bug net, as well! Thank you for stopping by, my friend, great to hear from you! -Dave
Well done on your review. Fifty bucks is rather expensive for a bug net but a good night's sleep without flying critters attacking you is worth it. The mosquitos are a nuisance but what "bugs" me the most are the moths that are attracted to my headlamp or the lantern hanging off the ridgeline. There's a cheaper option now on Amazon called the PYS Outdoors bug net that sells for just under $30. Through Survival on Purpose you can get a nice $7+ discount lowering the price to just under $23. For ground dwelling I use the Friendly Swede bug net and it's very inexpensive stored in a Coke can size sack and weighs just a few ounces.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your excellent comment, Alexander! This is the large bug net that I have been using for some time now and I like it a lot! Size is awesome and price is outstanding - ruclips.net/video/aITp4hPYf9c/видео.html. -Dave
Nice to hear, my friend! This equip travel hammock and ENO bugnet is a very affordable, solid setup. You can also find good hammocks with the bug netting as part of the hammock. When bugs are as bad as they are here (and there), it's necessary to combat them in order to enjoy the beautiful summer! Thank you for watching, Bill! -Dave
Great! I think you are going to love it! I will also be showcasing another bug net very soon that's actually longer length and less expensive! Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words! -Dave
I keep my hammock an big net together inside of a separate dry bag. Could just be a trick of the camera but your bug net looked as big as my whole set up including straps an rain fly.
Sounds like an excellent setup you have there, my friend! Dry bag is an excellent place to keep them. Haha..maybe the camera or how I have it set up? Thank you for taking the time to stop by! -Dave
I use an ENO too but mine has a D shaped door but I prefer my Byers Mosquito Traveler because it has a zipper that runs the length of the hammock attaching it to the bug fly and it's easier for my fatness to get in and out of, lol. Your toggle mod I'd fantastic! It will pull the ridge line down a little and keep you from popping off your clips (I have broken a couple on mine) GENIOUS my hat is off to you brother
Your setup sounds awesome, my friend! Simple mods make life so much easier, don't they? Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, brother! -Dave
That looks like a really nice setup. On my hammock the bug net is stuck on there. Sometimes I wish I had the option to take it of. Especially in the winter time. I got to say you did a great job on showing how it works and how to use it :) Thanks for sharing - Martin
Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, Martin! I can understand wanting to take the net off sometimes...when it's not bug season, I love sleeping in the outdoors without the bugnet "barrier". Nice to hear from you, my friend! -Dave
I almost spent the night in your area but no, we had another flight. I was going to sneak up on you. lol Nice net, we need those in the summer for the bugs too. Plus your audio is really good.
Great setup video Dave. I use a Warbonnet Blackbird that has an integrated bug net, but my son is using a hammock similar to yours so was curious about this particular bug net for him.
Thank you for watching, my friend! IMHO, this is an excellent bug net that works for many hammocks! If you pick one up for your son, let me know how you like it! -Dave
Really like the cocoon style bug net. It looks like I’d need another ridge line for an overhead tarp so I don’t rub holes in it from the bug net clips? Or, do you have a configuration worked out with one line? Thanks Dave
Thank you for watching, Lee! I actually do exactly what you described....I put another ridge line above the Bug Net ridge line for tarps and it works really well for me! -Dave
Great video. If you see this comment maybe you can help me out. i set everything up and when I got in the hammock was laying tight against the bottom of the bug net, so much that I couldn't lay in it without possibly ripping the bug net, was my hammock to low? too much of a banana in it? Thanks
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave your very nice comment, Chuck! I really appreciate that, my friend! LOL...I have several tarp and rain fly options but my favorite nights are the ones with no weather! -Dave
Very nice out there! That is so cool!! Where do you come up with all your quick fixes and stuff? You make everything work better or you have one item and turn it into two things it can be used for..So glad the nice weather is back! Great demo on this net Dave!
Thank you for the kind words, Louise! Haha..all of the quick fixes and multiple uses for items came from my dad. He always taught us to make the most out of what we had. I am also happy for the nice weather! Thank you for stopping by, my friend! -Dave
David, I've never slept in a Hammock before. I'm a stomach sleeper so I've always used a tent and sleeping pad. Is it difficult to sleep in a hammock? I don't find it difficult at all, my friend! I love the fact of being off the ground. I sleep on my side and it has worked for me for years. You are exactly right, much easier to carry than a tent. I still carry a yoga mat as a sleeping pad, but it doesn't weigh much and folds up well into my pack. Maybe try a cheap hammock, like the equip travel hammock and see how it works for you. If you don't like it, you could always use it as a camp chair and know that you only spent around $20 to try out. If you do like it, you can consider it life changing! Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment, Scott! -Dave
I don’t know how people get out so easily. I’m a large girl and have so much trouble. I find myself having to hang it super low so I can roll out. Do you have any tips for getting out of the hammocks?
Thats a great question, Clark. I am not sure but I wouldn't see why not. You could always emailed ENO to confirm? Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
Hey there, my friend! It's great to hear from you! Thank you for taking the time to watching and leave your kind words...haha! I hope to talk with you again soon! -Dave
Looks like your adding unnecessary tension to the cinch string where you could just add a presic knot to come down off the ridge line where you can clip the hook in lower
Hey CS, I'm trying to figure out how to use one ridge line for my bug net, and hang my overhead organizer. I guess I old run my ridge line through my bug net instead of using the hooks. You got any ideas? Thanks Tim

Nets attached to the cradle Mosquitoes bite their arms. Of course, the solution is to make a knot to pull the net out. And using a mosquito net This type of mosquito nets do not attach arms, mosquitoes do not bite arms.
Great tips in regards to ends of the bug net. Thanks

Good review. I love the ENO bug net because it gives the option of taking it off when not needed. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.
Thank you for watching, Dennis! I completely agree! Thats why I like it so much more than a 'built-in' bug net! -Dave
Thank You for a great video presentation. I am about to embark on my second section hike of the AT in the Smoky Mountains in June. I'm lucky. Here in the Central Oregon desert we don't have many bugs to deal with, at least where I go!

Another excellent and well produced video Dave. I assume you also carry a tarp or sheet to act as a rain fly if need be?

Your welcome Dave!
David, I've never slept in a Hammock before. I'm a stomach sleeper so I've always used a tent and sleeping pad. Is it difficult to sleep in a hammock? I've been tempted to buy one but just not sure it would work for me. Maybe you and the other subscribers could offer some tips. Thank you for the video. This sure looks like it'd be easier to carry than a tent and a Thermarest sleep pad.
Do you have any tips for getting out of the hammocks?
hi, do you know what i could use to keep the need off of me while im inside?
I wonder if the bugnet would work with Grand Trunk hammocks?
Thats a great question, Clark. I am not sure but I wouldn't see why not. You could always emailed ENO to confirm? Thank you for watching, my friend!

Thanks
Tim
I think you could try your idea and it may work well - running your ridgeline through the bugnet. If you use a hammock ridgeline, that may work as well. Keep me posted, my friend and thank you for watching! -Dave
My shoulders get bit through the net and hammock. How to fix?
His first step pretty much explain the whole thing
Nets attached to the cradle Mosquitoes bite their arms. Of course, the solution is to make a knot to pull the net out. And using a mosquito net This type of mosquito nets do not attach arms, mosquitoes do not bite arms.
$204 Australian now. Am going to look for one a lot cheaper than that.
Happy Napping :)
LOL! Thank you for watching, my friend! -Dave
I was thinking about getting this, this year, but my daughter stole my doublenest...
Haha...that'll happen sometimes! Thank you for watching! -Dave
