This video proves no matter how many tours you do each one is a learning curve. We can do a wales group ride of 70 bikes and it can run perfectly untill that one incident happens for the first time then it’s something new to learn from, if anything it never gets boring.

Goes to show how easy life is when your phone is running perfect. I always try and have a map of the country I`m riding through just to have as a back up if my phone goes down. Only problem is when you get to a town where a road map won`t help you much but it can keep you heading in the right direct out in the sticks. My phone credit ran out during a trip in Holland in May, so i had no Google maps but was able to keep on the move using a road map until I found some wifi so I could top up the phone.
thats what happens when you rely on others, should have a working sat nav and route programed in it. make your own was to the next hotel so as not to mess up everyones day waiting around.

@@jimhammond6395 trackers work great as long as you have a signal, Flash had the routes on his phone but his mobile data failed. So he couldn’t find us and we could track him so trackers are only as good as the signal
This happens. Must have been 2004 ( no gps ) Leading my Cornish mates from French border via Pamplona to Jaca. Big roadworks regular signs blanked, gravel temp surface. Stay behind me I shout. Then (Pants) comes howling past GIXER screaming, takes the Bilbao road, opposite to us. We waited at a truck stop. After more than 1 hour Pants came past at 130-140 mph, surely. He had to double back while we finished lunch. Cock ups like these make top memories.

We have my phone had no signal plus had trouble with the roaming data on it so no good thats why i returned backbto the ktm shop and used there wifi
