- The Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II drew eyeballs from all over the world. But while Her Majesty may have been the center of the celebrations, all eyes were often on one of her great-grandchildren: the unexpectedly charismatic, scene-stealing Prince Louis.
The third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Louis is fifth in line to the British throne, but apparently first in peoples' hearts. The young prince won over Jubilee audiences with his perfect, preschool-aged reactions to the bombast of the ceremonies. While everyone had their own reaction to the young royal's antics, older brother (and future king) Prince George had the best reaction to Prince Louis' wild Jubilee behavior.

Love Louis, he's a normal, healthy little guy. He's also beautiful, funny and full of energy, just what every child should be.
I raised 3 children and at no age would they be permitted putting their hand over my mouth and making faces right in front of my face. Granted he was tired, but that does not excuse him of his bratty behavior. He should have been removed from the balcony by his nanny. His mother tried in vain to stop his obnoxious behavior and failed. This was not the behavior of a tired child, this was an out of control brat. Those who think he’s a cute kid obviously don’t have children or have kids I wouldn’t want in my house.

My youngest granddaughter is 5 and there's no way she could have sat through what Prince Louis had to without acting up. Even though he's a Prince - he's still a kid and that should be remembered first and foremost!
my grandchildren would be the same way. a preschooler is not ready to be still and behave like an adult at that age. He was adorable and the acting out was funny and very normal.
I loved watching Louis he had me in stitches plus Charlotte trying to pug him in his place. He was a normal 4 year old who had had a very long day
He is only 4 yrs old..I had 4..they ALL were..tired from sitting...in one place for some periods of times.. he is so adorable and is already very handsome...Prince George and Charlotte are beautiful children...I wish I was younger to see them grow up like William and Harry.. Diana can't see those precious little ones..including Harry's adorable babies..

I know.. kids are unpredictable and they can certainly get the parents some looks.. and judgement, like here, I never knew how many stuffy, stodgy people were you-tube subscribers! Yes.. they were better behaved than I would have expected for such a reserved event..my kids would have been totally distracting if they'd been there when they were younger! They were always hungry when they were bored!! and if I didn't have snacks it would have been a complete circus act! I thank God that they grew up as well as they did.

The people reporting what a handful Louis was is ruining it for everyone. He is a little boy, I think he did great for his age but if you don't stop talking about this, Kate will stop bringing her kids around, and who could blame her, no one wants to hear their child being talked about like this. I loved watching Louis he was a normal 4 year old enjoying himself. How boring these people who object to Louis what sad lives they must have. The Queen and Prince Charles was ok with him the Queen chatting to him Prince Charles sat with him on his knee. The moaners need to get a life

I think Catherine is an exceptional, loving mother. You can feel how much she loves those kids...as well as other children during royal tours. She handled hyper Louie just fine.

It was bad enough when my son, lay on the floor in a grocery isle, screaming and banging his feet, because I wouldn’t buy him the cereal he wanted. I just left him their, while me and brother continued on to the next isle. People looked, but he was tired, and hungry. He eventually got up and contacted shopping with us.

It gives me great joy and happiness to know that Prince Louis is a happy, normal, active, and loved 4 year old little boy. Those who criticize his behavior can go fly a kite, Kate and William are clearly wonderful parents.
The little boy is a normal 4 years old and with a great relationship with both parents. What do idiot critics want, a robot, a ventriloquists Dummy. He did what under 5's do and should never be just " a little adult" Happily, he didn't care and I'm sure he would have danced and sung a song on the Balcony had anyone asked him to or rather if he'd suddenly felt the urge to do so. Great that his mother allowed him some rope but still held him in check.

Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge should continue with his social presence in all future RF activities.

From someone who has been teaching since I was 16, and am now over 60, and has taken on the daunting task of teaching 2 year old Sunday school, I have always been impressed with how well behaved the British royal family children have been. Congrats on being such great parents.
Yes Louie is just the family baby , and even Charlotte is a proper little mother to Louie and indulges him. I think the plane hurt his ears tbh. But you can see Louie tries to sit or stand next to big sister Xharlotte. He is only a baby and he doesn’t understand like adults understand .

I work for the school system and I was tickled silly because he reminds me of some of our highly energetic preschool kids. Just because he is royalty does not mean he can’t be a typical/normal kid. He has every right to be a kid. I can’t believe that people are criticizing a four year old. If he was quietly sitting people would have assumed something is wrong with him.

Kids this age are so entertaining. This is one of those situations when you want to burst out laughing but you don't want them to see you laughing. Louis is adorable.

He is a very normal 4 years old, who shows normal emotions. How refreshing he is not a little robot. By Sunday afternoon, he must have been exhausted.

Same age as my nephew. My nephew behaved the exact same way today. Alternately scolded and laughed at him. He's a kid. Being born royal doesn't make him any less of a kid. Just means he has more expensive bath towels at the end of the day. Bet he needs them too lol

My comment was meant as his actions, and his mom's, have been scrutinized because of the media coverage and the critical viewers who wouldn't even know of his activities if he was any other child. I think his parents and siblings are great, and Louis is adorable. Seeing the behavior of Charlotte (who seems to keep an eye on George and Louis - lol!) and George, Louis will be fine. They are a wonderful family.

I have two children, support Harry and Megan and think it was so precious seeing Louis being so natural and very cute
I don't have kids, but even I know that expecting a 4-year-old kid to sit still for 2 hours is ridiculous. I bet a lot of the adults were bored; they're just old enough to hide it. People need to remember that he may have the title of prince, but he's still a little boy.
Louis is a normal active little 4 year old, and from what I could see, he was just pulling silly faces, which about 95% of children that age do naturally as a matter ofcourse.
Anyway, tho there was no film/ video showing this, I'm fairly certain that if things had been too much for Louis, Nanny Maria would have been summoned to take the little one home, or at least out of harms way for the moment. Yelling crowds, loud brass bands, a heavy spectacle becomes VERY overwhelming for a sma child like that, and Louis coped remarkably well, under the circumstances and given his very young years.
It seems reporters have never suffered through an over stimulated 4 year old. The young prince handled a long weekend full of unusual situations very well. His mother headed him off and resurrected him like the pro she is. Good job all!
I have loved Prince Louis since he was a little guy. He has a gregarious personality, and I believe he will come forth as a stealth leader in the future. He definitely won't suffer from stage fright!

Everything he did seemed totally age appropriate and thus acceptable EXCEPT for that one time when he was allowed to continue to prolong a show of rude disrespectful to his mother. That should not have been tolerated without some discipline, like her immediately taking him inside. People would have understood. Instead of that, a big question was raised in my mind about what limits are being set on him that he thought it was perfectly fine to be "cheeky" to Catherine in that way. I'm sure Philip would never have tolerated that behavior to his mother from Charles.

Louie suffers from a condition called being 4 years old. I thought he was quite charming and his antics made me smile and yes laugh out loud. What a little CUTIE (Prince William was a lot like Louie as a child).
Love love Prince Louis - such an energetic, happy 4 yo. How painful for him to sit around for such a long time for no doubt a bit boring event for him. Only in the Uk where kids are meant to be seen not heard can this be an issue.

Watching Prince Louis took me back 49 years to when my son was 4. Louis acted just like my son. He was not able to sit still for more than 3 or 4 minutes. In church we sat in the back pew and I brought along a couple of Matchbox toys for him to “drive” along the empty pew. He was basically quiet and a goodly stash of raisins helped from time to time in keeping him calm. He was a happy boy, as he had not yet had to deal with “school”. Louis has that same inexhaustible energy level. His parents are doing a wonderful job. High energy kids take a *lot* of patience and distraction methods. Eventually (when he was 18 years of age), we discovered that my son had severe ADHD. Fortunately, he was an only child of a single parent and I had enormous amounts of patience. My son was not spoiled or entitled and he turned out just fine. Prince Louis’ antics brought big smiles to my heart & fond memories of the blessing of my young son. Kate & William are doing a fine job. The 3 children are all distinctly different from each other. They all have their own individual personalities. Each one will need a particular way of a parent’s response to their passages through life. So far, I’d say the future is looking great.

I really love Prince Louis behaviour, he is a living kid, he gave me a spirit of natural kid and having a living energy, an expressive kid, open expression, and loving comfortable among the whole royal family members, he is a happy kid. I wait him to grow up in the future and all the Royal family members get a great leader or role model as great as other Royal family members. I am a teacher, I will be very sad if kids in my class can't express his/her living thoughts and feelings at certain ease levels.

He is 4 years old, he is doing what he is suppose to do... be a child! He is normal and if you had kids, your kid acted the same way at 4 years old!

Yes a 4 year old was rowdy. Imagine that.
Prince Loius wasn't rowdy. He was enjoying himself tremendously. He was expressing his emotions through his actions. His movements were in tandem to the music and sounds. He was very expressive and this shows he is a normal healthy 4 yr old little boy but more expressive of himself . I wonder who are those fools who picked on Prince Louis and criticised him ! Don't you see that HMT Queen also enjoyed little Louis and engaged in conversation with him.? The Queen was all smiles with Prince Louis.. GOD Bless them all !
He is a child regardless of his peerage. We love all his antics and has made the celebration even more splendid. What other way to celebrate Her Royal Highness's Platinum Jubilee? Kate was admirably calm. How adorable when he hugged his Mom. Love this. As he grows older he will understand the rules regarding his behaviour.
He's four years old and adorable. What parent hasn't experienced a child with antics in public? Think of what he had to endure during the Jubilee. I bet there are adults that would get antsy as well.

I just find this video hilarious ~ it shows how much love these kids have from their families, and learning to balance with the society of what is being expected from them.
