Good news about oni enemies. Dogs (not bears) are considered oni. So my tip: go to Curse of Onibaba and hope for dog logo. There will be up to 6 dogs to kill My method is kill them with poison (need to have poison does damage perk). Same for Disciples. You could even hallucinate them and have the enemies kill them. Still counts. For kill 25 with fire, go to Caravan of Thieves and head to the second section. Use 2 or 3 fire barrel traps to kill the first group of enemies
Same man! I've got the ronin with spirit kunai so it kills the oni dogs with one hit. That's a great idea for the kills with fire. So far I had been combining a fire blade with my Samurais ult which is a bit slow heh
A bit risky but I simply start a platinum survivor solo. Rush kill the tengu, and if overwhelmed, run to healing drums and ammo pouches to spam bombs and stagger ennemies to make things easier. get to 10 onis very quickly

Oni can be found on survival on platinum and enemies don't chase you. You can then snipe with your range weapon and pick up ammo from those offerings around the map and maybe knock an oni or two down. They won't chase you outside their defending zone. It's an easy way to farm oni's.
Fun fact for anyone not able to do the perfect dodge challenge, make sure to have you blade "unsheathed" and hold L1 like if you were trying to parry regularly. If you do this, perfect dodge should activate. Took Me like 15 minutes to figure that out, but it works.
When you finish a match while purifying you get 25% extra money per player. So what you should actually do is do about 90% of the challenge by yourself with matchmaking off, then go to matchmaking and do the last 10% and get the extra money. So instead of healing yourself for 500, just do 450 then go to matchmaking and do a story. Also dogs, disciples, and bears count as Oni. So if you get the dogs modifier on Curse of Onibaba story that’s the best for anything involving killing Oni. There’s a cursed bow that blinds you whenever you deal ranged damage, but you don’t get flashed if you kill enemies with ghost weapons. So use the kunai for that. It still counts.
@@XSXXL dunno if you'll see this, but you just keep playing until you get a cursed item that's the same type as your weapon, like a cursed charm for charms etc. it's not too difficult you can just do curse of onibaba on gold or nightmare if gives good stuff and I think it's the fastest one to do
If you ever get 'kill 10 onis' or 'kill 5 oni hounds/bears' just go to the last story mission on gold (the yarikawa one) there is always a dog at the begin which also counts as an oni, now you can just start the mission solo, kill this dog, leave and repeat until finished. But it is worth killing the dog and the two guards and then running to the next area cause there can be bears, more dogs or some iyo disciples (which are also oni) and if you play as hunter there is an entrance in the fence far right of the gate that closes that will put you in an empty area where you can just shot them through the gaps in the fence and they can't do a thing about it, not even the fire arrows can get ya. Then if you want the rewards for purifying just repeat these steps and make sure you leave yourself with one left to kill AND THEN go into a survival map or finish the story mission, cause trying to kill 10 onis while one hit from them will give them back all their health is tedious. Any restore health challenges just play as ronin and have the heal ult and essence pot (cause it's a shorter cool-down then a healing spirit) and just use them, if you don't want to run around the map taking everyones drums (if you foolishly didn't start solo on survival lol). It's best to have a fire build for any character and a poison build for an assassin to knock those poison/fire challenges off quick.
Thanks for this, very helpful for figuring out my first cursed gear which is one of the health gourds with curse of lethargy. I like the challenge of these, neat way of approaching endgame gear.
Also I find 'defeat foes with perfect dodges' most annoying so I use samurai cause he has techniques that can widen the parry/dodge window at low health and restore health when you finally kill them with a perfect parry or dodge. It's also good to equip a dirt throw or sword or a charm that has a perfect parry increase stat on it cause it does also increase that dodge window.
The best way to purify a bow by when u get blinded when u hit someone with a ranged attack u just low everyone then do smoke bombs (or not ur wish) and just kill everyone with ranged attacks also to purify the one where u gotta kill poisoned enemies u can use Assassin's toxic vanish with chain vanish and easily do it

And if you can get a bunch of purified currency then you can skip challenges and Master Gear up to 120 hella quick. Couple of other tips. The Assassin and Samurai Ultimate count as Melee damage. So if you need to kill 5 enemies with Melee, you can weaken the enemies, build up your resolve, pop your ult and your done... Also, to kill enemies with fire - get on Gold and lure a bunch o' baddies over to a barrel and use a Black Powder Bomb. EZ Clap...

also i don’t know if you said it or not i was talking during that part but for the kill enemies with melee attacks ritual both the samurai and the assassin ultimate abilities count as melee kills in your stats and defeating enemies with fire you can run through the second part of caravan of thieves and use the bomb barrels

Any of them unfortunately cause they can all use it. Hunter has the lowest legendary draw pull cause she can't use bombs or blowgun so unless I'm forgetting something hunter is probably best to try and get it then samurai and then ronin & assassin. But ronin & assassin are made for it so you could still have better luck using them.

If you go into survival or story with a cursed item, complete three first chapter or wave 0 and run out of bounds. You will get another cursed item as the sole reward. I'm sure most of you know this already.
Typically smoke is better for hunter and assassin. Assassin has a default faster assassination then everyone else and hunter can stand and shoot out of the smoke for easy head shots as the enemies all stand around the smoke. Gourd is good for samurai and hunter cause early game they don't have a lot of heals. If the smoke bomb has munitions then ronin will typical use it for bomb pickups but (IMO) never put a gourd on a ronin, they have enough heals.
Out of all the cursed gear you didn’t give any tips and examples for ghost weapons. Rn I’m trying to get 10 kills with cursed smoke bomb (which does 0 damage and assassinations don’t add to the 29 count) and it has double cool down time. To be fair you gave some good tips but honestly you left a lot out.
how dose stats works in here cuz if i have status effect an duration on everything i should be at over 100% an should be doing alot more or dose it only count for that one peace of gear how do i stack stats an damage output
You need the Assassin charm it drops randomly from different activities it is a charm with the Assassin symbol on it you can reroll the perks if you don't get refreshing vanish. It also grants other things such as toxic vanish radius and hysteria with after an assassination enemies hallucinate and attack each other.
@@yt3dead that's chain vanish you're think off he means the class ability refreshing vanish and I'm drawing a blank on how it unlocks, when they added it in an update pretty sure I just had to unlock it with currency cause mine was already over levelled.

I have a mastery challenge i dont understand. It says something like "dismantle smoke bombs while this is equipped (0/5)" (may contain translation errors). It's on a smoke bomb, but simply using it in a game doesn't work. Can someone help?
Hey. So all you have to do is dismantle smoke bombs in your inventory. Just careful which ones you dismantle in case one of your classes is using it. You technically don’t even need to play
My cursed katana says "Defeat foes with melee" I got to kill 10. Then it says "Your melee strikes are only lethal if you've bowed in the last 10 second" I do as it says but I still can't get the kill
Breath of Izanami and using the technique that changes it to fire is also a very good option to do the fire curse with. Just say goodbye to your health because that is likely 4 players worth of enemies lit on fire. It stacks but it doesn't kill you. Just don't get hit. You're day more likely to have enemies die from the fire this way.
The cursed gear in short is one of the only two ways to get each class of ghost from 110 ki lvl to 120. Without taking up the challenges to purifying cursed gear or active mastery challenges (which can be grind to complete just one active mastery challenge) your online ki is capped at 110. Also because of cursed gear and bounding gear to activate mastery challenges you can obtain additional cosmetics. also when your get a peace of gear to 120 ki you unlock a second per slot! Challenging yet rewarding in the long run
I have the healing ground and my challenge is to defeat enemies with this ghost weapon I’m really struggling to understand this one as I don’t think it does any damage if anyone can help me out with this I would appreciate that a lot!

I have a mastery challenge i dont understand. It says something like "dismantle smoke bombs while this is equipped (0/5)" (may contain translation errors). It's on a smoke bomb, but simply using it in a game doesn't work. Can someone help?
Hey. So all you have to do is dismantle smoke bombs in your inventory. Just careful which ones you dismantle in case one of your classes is using it.

My cursed katana says "Defeat foes with melee" I got to kill 10. Then it says "Your melee strikes are only lethal if you've bowed in the last 10 second" I do as it says but I still can't get the kill
You have to “emote” bow down before attacking. Swipe down on your touchpad to bow. Then after you can attack :)

Explain the stipulations of the cursed gear that you are referring to and I’ll give you a direct answer
Breath of Izanami and using the technique that changes it to fire is also a very good option to do the fire curse with.
Just say goodbye to your health because that is likely 4 players worth of enemies lit on fire. It stacks but it doesn't kill you. Just don't get hit.
You're day more likely to have enemies die from the fire this way.
I’m confused, what is the purpose of cursed gear? Like why would I use it?
The cursed gear in short is one of the only two ways to get each class of ghost from 110 ki lvl to 120. Without taking up the challenges to purifying cursed gear or active mastery challenges (which can be grind to complete just one active mastery challenge) your online ki is capped at 110. Also because of cursed gear and bounding gear to activate mastery challenges you can obtain additional cosmetics.
also when your get a peace of gear to 120 ki you unlock a second per slot! Challenging yet rewarding in the long run
