The best way to observe using the RASA is clearly to use a live Atik Infinity video camera on the front and stack the image and "observe" not through an eyepiece but on a laptop using its dedicated capture software.
I have a C11 Edge with Hyperstar, yet to get started on it... This video explained nearly everything I needed to know. THANK YOU. A word about mono CCDs and filters, Starizona sells the filter slider system, adding it eats up back (front?) focus and one needs to buy the shortened adapter for the camera to replace the standard adapter that works well for OSC or just mono imaging. They also have an adapter to use the 1.25 inch filters

Resolution depends on focal length as well. Otherwise, there is no meaning to have any scope but RASA, which is in popularity is well behind Edge. “It looks similar” doesn’t tell anything. FWHM and eccentricity numbers are needed.
Good video. But as far as covering the front of the scope without removing equipment I would think a large dew shield with a cover over the end would work fine. Yes you may have to fashion your own cover but its do able.
Are there any disadvantages to using a Hyperstar on a standard sct? Thinking of getting one but seems like I may aswell use my standard sct 9.25 instead of investing in an edgehd. Only thing I can come up with would be focusing which from what I've heard is better on the edgehd.
Edge HD makes no difference as far as hyperstar goes. Star shapes will never be perfect at the edges, at F2 collimation, sensor tilt, back focus and focus become much more critical

Regarding flats, you can place a USB LED light panel on top of the dew shield and take flats that way. Thats how I do it.

Celestron now do a motor focus unit so autofocus can be used. Has made my Hyperstar sessions so much easier.

Personally, I think The Horsehead / Flame is made even more special by Alnitck's prescience.

The Baader Hi-Speed filters have greatly cut down on vignetting for me.
Is there a reason you wouldn't want to trace the lines for cables along one of the three the lines of front mirror frame?
What's the low down with using filters and filter wheels using Hyperstar on say a C11HD?
Rigel nStep has a focus adapter for Celestron scopes, and it works good for me.

Nobody prefers take pictures of galaxies with Hyperstar.
