• REVO ARC Setup | WHY I...
I just got mine, and I love the idea of leaving the reservoirs black, using one of the smaller decal! looks great!
Thank you! I really can't wait for spring now. I keep hoping for a 50-degree day to try them out.
Looks good!!! I went with the legend Revo A’s and they are awesome. I know those are going to give you a great comfortable ride .
I can wait to try them out and after all the comments and reviews about them I am very confident they will be a great ride!
*Can't wait is what I meant
I paid over $1,500 for my Legends and I didn't get any mounting hardware! I have a 12 SG that rode like a lumber wagon and it didn't matter how much air I had or didn't have in the shock. I do like the Legends a ton, it made a huge difference.
Did you contact Legends? I am sure they would get you your mounting hardware. I am very impressed with the Legends suspension! I also added the front cartridge kit and totally changed the way my bike handles. Love it!
@HowiesAdventures no I haven't contacted them I figured I would probably get the run around but they do seem pretty reputable so I'm gonna at least try. I put Progressives junk in my front forks about 3 years ago what a waste of money, looks like I'm gonna have to make a purchase when I call Legends, thanks a lot lol. Be safe out there.
Great shocks you will really notice the difference!! I installed the Ohlins brand on my rear last spring and plan to do the front this spring!! Peace!
2 and a half weeks and I get to try them out. I’ll be adding the front when we get back from Daytona
@@HowiesAdventures So, what do you think? With the $?
@@safeeffective385 Yes they did exactly what they said they would do. I would buy them again. I have since added the Legends front cartridge kit and that one surprised me! Completely changed the handling of the bike. I am very impressed.
@@HowiesAdventures Thanks buddy, so now I want to do both front and rear on this SG.
Would you suggest doing the front or back first if you had to pick one?
@@safeeffective385if I had to pick one I would go with the rear. Legends does a good job of explaining what you get from each. They say your comfort comes from the rear and your handling comes from the front. I find this to be very true with upgrading them one at a time. I did a lot of research and called them a few times before purchasing and finally pulled the trigger on the front at Daytona Bike week at their vendor setup. Great people who will spend time talking with you to get you set up right. Also American made which was a plus for me.
Nice shocks. How do you like your seat? I hear they are hard and take time to break in.
Thank you so far I am very happy with the suspension. I love the Saddleman Roadsofa seat and yes they are firm and it does take time to break in but I have had many all day adventures 700 plus miles on it and had no problem getting back on the next day.
@@HowiesAdventures thanks for info
Just found this video.looking at these for my 13. What part of mass are you in? Im in Ashland
They definitely made a huge difference. I’ve since done the front Legends cartridge kit which has totally changed the handling of it. I am in North Adams. North west corner of the state
I’ve heard the 13” keep the ride height the same. Can you confirm ? I can’t go up any higher than it is right now but want better shocks
Yes as long as you set your preload correctly you should have a inch of sag which will keep your seat height the same. I didn’t notice any difference in seat height
How are you liking these? I'm thinking about it.
Yes, they helped a lot. I have also installed the front cartridge kits, and they are awesome! The rear helped a lot with comfort and the front make it handle much better.
@@HowiesAdventures Thanks. I see you are in Massachusetts. I'm from Peabody. I'm Texas now. Have a great night.
@@LyntisMoten yea man. North Adams the other side of the state haha. I drive truck for a living I go out that way often
I use the same external mounts , the lines rub my bag lids a little do yours ?
They did at first but I just rotated the canister a bit until the lines moved away. It’s been good ever since
@@HowiesAdventures I don’t see how rotating the canister can make the lines stop rubbing the frame stops the lines from moving away from the bag
@@chrisg2k1 it may have to do with the way you routed the lines. Hard to tell without seeing it in person. As of right now my lines do not rub
