Is there a way to randomly glitch a fucking red titanite slab into the game? I'm level 179 on the ps3, I'm stuck killing these God damn tentacle arm, big mouth monsters in Lost Izalith and they will **not** drop it! I've been grinding for at least two weeks now! Where is it?!
Honestly, selling people online courses on programming *today* is fundamentally immoral. This kind of shit was already all over the place ten years ago, you'd have to be stupid or desperate to think this was worth your time.

I love how instead of just showing the glitches, you do a playthrough and do the glitches needed to get past an obstacle. Very creative and makes it a lot more fun to watch
I know this is a glitch video and would have deprived you of adding even more examples, but you also could have gone to Darkroot Basin and through the tunnel with the bonfire near the halberd Black Knight to get into the Valley of Drakes in order to skip Blighttown.
@@helenastenvislavskovic Yes it is. I just said this because Phobia made a video for Classic DS1 after his video for Demon's Souls, and around the time if Dark Souls Remastered, it became lost to time.
13:10 It's fair to note that if you have quick enough button inputs, you can use any non-item animation to trigger the duplication glitch (roll, backstep, attack, parry) and it'll give you the same result.
You can also use the animation of popping the soul from the glitch itself to continue quickly chaining it, making duping for big quantities of souls go faster. Another thing to note is that only male characters can perform the glitch with all possible character animations. It has been a long time since I've played the game, but female characters for some reason cannot dupe boss and fire keeper souls either with attack or parry animation, I do not remember which exactly one but that's one weird thing about original Dark Souls 1. Edit: Actually I think I remember now. It's the attack animation. Male characters can do it with both one handed and two handed attacks, but female characters can only dupe with attacks while holding weapon with 2 hands.
@@MrAlanAlden It's because certain female-specific animations are missing animation interrupts that would allow items to be queued for use mid-animation. Any animation shared between the two genders works fine because it uses those aforementioned interrupts. Catalystz has a good video on this topic that explains it in more depth.
There's a easier way to do the soul dup glitch. Put the boss soul on the first slot of the inventory, then parry, click to use the item, and open the inventory all at the same time. If done correctly, when you try to use a estus flask directly from the menu, the question to use the boss soul will appear. This method is way simpler than the other from the video Just a reminder that doing this will consume your estus flasks as if you were using it. But not having an full estus doesn't stops you from doing the glitch. Amazing video btw!
If you get timing right after doing it the first time with a parry or a weapon or whatever else, you can use the animation of you using the soul during the dupe too, just click the use button just as your character crushes the souls with their hand and do as you would normally, meaning you don't have to repeat the parry or jump or swing each time and can just chain it with the soul use animation itself until you feel you have enough, which is really quick.
0:25 I love it Games for Windows Live (No joke), you coud text with people you did PVP as invader or as invaded, sometimes you made friends other times you received hate mail but was a social aspect more and I remember miss it a lot when Dark Souls came to Steam.
Regarding the missing master key to unlock the door in new londo ruins : If I remember correctly, you can start from the Undead Parish bonfire, go down past Andre and the Titanite Demon and out to the darkroot garden, then to the right down to where you fight the black knight that gives you the halberd. There's a cave to the left with a bonfire, and an elevator that takes you down to the valley of drakes. From there, you can run back to the other side of the locked door, and you'll be able to access blighttown without the master key
Windmills! The same artist EpicNameBro used to put in his videos! Love their music, and the souls references they put in their second album always make me smile
For anyone who wants to open up the drake - New Londo shortcut without Master key in Remaster, there is a shorter method, although glitchless: A) go to New Londo, and make your way to Ingward B) kill Ingward, and they'll drop their key C) use the New Londo Key to drain the water, and unlock access to Valley of drakes D) make your way to the back enterance of blighton, and get the Drake-New Londo key from the chest at the top of the scafolds. For general tips regarding this - prob best to wear high poise armored and use a transient curse when climbing the ladder to Ingward, cause that section can be very annoying. - after draining the water, prob best to take the elevator in Drakes up to darkroot garden since there is a bonfire nearby.
i really like hte approach of this video, net just explaining the glitches, but actually putting them into practice and trying them all together into a showcase run
The nice thing about duping and moveset swap in DSPTD is you can use basically any animation for the purposes of menuing here. Once you have a good hold on the timing a roll, or even a parry, is plenty enough for these glitches
I find that's once you are good enough, you can actually queue the boss soul duplication glitch in the animation of using the boss soul, so you just chain the same animation over and over again giving you the fastest possible rate of duplication. Also the glitch works for fire keeper soul for infinite humanity and healing.
There's a 4th way to get to Quelag - just go into valley of drakes from the forest area. No keys needed, just a bit of extra running past stuff. You can run straight to where the master key would take you. Far less interesting than glitching that though, especially with that one frame window haha!
Watched this on a lark. It was WAY more fun than I anticipated. Really need narrative to the video - rather than just a list of glitches. Will definitely check out other videos of yours.
Just a tip if it hasn't been said before, but using the fire keepers soul also causes a prompt to show up confirming if you wanna actually use it. You can use the fire keeper soul in place of any boss soul and duplicate the item to get max humanity (max base defense & item discovery)
Regarding the boss soul dupe. You can use most animations to perform the glitch including the consume soul animation to repeat it. You don't have to do the running jump every time. A weird quirk of it is that it wont work with any female model exclusive animations. For example a 1Hand claymore attack won't be able to perform the glitch(not due to speed) but the 2Hand attack can.
I remember using the dragon head to do the infinite soul glitch back in 2013 on Xbox 360. My friend was playing on ps3 on a different tv, we were chilling in the same room watching each other explore different areas
You also could have went through the valley of drakes which connects to where the hydra is to access blight town. That’s how I did it on my first ever play through
Found this from an Illusory Wall binge. I love speedrun explained videos but it's a shame that they don't feature other awesome glitches. Thanks for showing off other ones and explaining so clearly that a more talented gamer than myself could replicate them!
Side note the boss soul dupe thing can work using both a parry animation, and the animation of using the soul itself. If you chain it right you can use them pretty much one after another This works for any item that has the yes/no prompt, so can save homeward bone uses or be used with a firekeepers soul for 5 loose (or soft) humanity a pop
The boss soul dupe glitch doesn’t need to just be done with jumping. Any long animation can be done to queue it. I remember using the stagger you get from missed halberd/mace swings to get it started and then the soul use animation from the first dupe lets you continue to queue inputs to dupe the soul again and again. Made it very easy to level up characters for PvP back before respecs were a thing.
Just to note, the boss dupe glitch (at least on the 360, where I pulled it off numerous times years back) can also work by simply rolling assuming you're fast rolling
I own the box with artwork, poster and postcards for windows. The artwork book contains loads of images I've never seen online or in videos. It also has a making of Dark Souls DVD.

Okay, I'm sorry for my terrible memory on this, BUT!!! I remember the set up was pretty easy down in New Londo ruins, I just don't really remember where. If this rings a bell for anybody else, I would love a reply :)
If you're talking about the method that queues a roll mid-fall to "dodge" the fall damage so you can skip getting Fall Control, that method requires a keyboard and cannot be done on console
@@PhobiaSoft I don't remember ever using my keyboard playing dark souls, so I'm sure its something else. But if nobody else can remember a skip like that, maybe I'm just delusional or something.
Oddly this version is how I first played Dark Souls. I actually don't recall having any real issues with it, but after a bit I still used the fan patch fix for it.
Actually, calling it 720p is a stretch (literally) because the internal framebuffer is 1024x720 and it's merely stretched to true 1280x720, just like the console versions. 😉
Honestly, it's kind of impressive that there's even a Souls community on PC at all given what a disaster Prepare to Die Edition was. Horrible port with no graphics options, a 30 fps cap, and GFWL integration for multiplayer. By all accounts, PTDE should have bombed in sales, but the game underneath it was so good that we suffered through all the problems. Fast forward to the present where the PC version of Elden Ring is indisputably the best version of the game (even if it is still a lousy port if we're being honest).
Just to add to the video, if you select a female character, boss soul dupe won't work unless you hold a weapon with both hands when doing the roll animation
To be clear, Prepare to Die Edition is just the final patch of the Original with a fancy name. So everything that works on PTDE works in the Original too!
I love Dark Souls 1 but i would strongly recommended against any new players relying on the drake sword. Sure, it seems cool for a while but you're much better off picking up the claymore or pretty much any other melee weapon and upgrading it a couple of times.
Man it felt so good to break DSR. Finishing the game in just 3 bosses. I thought it would be impossible to do the golem skip. I didn't even use talisman wrong warp to reach the kiln but instead just fell next to the closed gate and alt+f4 while loading back at precise time.
I still main PTDE, just love that version a lot more. In a similar vein to this video, it could be neat to do a glitch video for the PS3 version of Demon's souls, maybe! Love the vid though, thanks and subscribed!

By all accounts, PTDE should have bombed in sales, but the game underneath it was so good that we suffered through all the problems.
Fast forward to the present where the PC version of Elden Ring is indisputably the best version of the game (even if it is still a lousy port if we're being honest).
The Iron Golem falls based upon damage dealt (below the knees), and poise doesn't factor into it at all. That part of the video is wrong/misleading.
Just to add to the video, if you select a female character, boss soul dupe won't work unless you hold a weapon with both hands when doing the roll animation
Wonderful! i swear that this is one of the only ptde videos out there, given that pretty much everyone plays the remaster or original instead.
To be clear, Prepare to Die Edition is just the final patch of the Original with a fancy name. So everything that works on PTDE works in the Original too!
Tarkus just plain eats Iron Golem.
Might try a couple of these since this is the edition of Dark Souls that I have!😊
Obs about boss souls dupe: It's more efficient to use a kick while two-handing any weapon instead of the jump ;)
Great one, especially with the illusory wall collab!
Crazy, I just got PTDE a few days ago and was looking for a video like this. Great timing.
Great video, it was nostalgic to see those old glitches. I was low key hoping for the Dragon Head glitch, but maybe that was patched.
Yeah, that one's patched sadly
Hell yeah. This is the version of Dark Souls that I first played and that I still play - to this day - on my PS3.
Dark souls prepare to glitch edition
I love Dark Souls 1 but i would strongly recommended against any new players relying on the drake sword. Sure, it seems cool for a while but you're much better off picking up the claymore or pretty much any other melee weapon and upgrading it a couple of times.
Its been so long, still i can see people play this masterpiece. This is one of the games which inspired me to become a game dev myself.
Man it felt so good to break DSR. Finishing the game in just 3 bosses. I thought it would be impossible to do the golem skip. I didn't even use talisman wrong warp to reach the kiln but instead just fell next to the closed gate and alt+f4 while loading back at precise time.
Man I love your content, it’s always very nice to see you upload. I hope the sponsorship is paying off for you mate, only the best for you
Aww. Was hoping to see what the playtime was on that safefile at the end. xD
I still main PTDE, just love that version a lot more. In a similar vein to this video, it could be neat to do a glitch video for the PS3 version of Demon's souls, maybe! Love the vid though, thanks and subscribed!
