Are you using hydrogen peroxide with it as well? Also, usually you would use uv lights somewhere between the 260nm-400nm range. Mine are 400nm, which are not as powerful for retro brighting, but it also has a lower chance of over bleaching. Edit: It seems mine are UVa since they are 400nm.
@@GamingRenewedLLC Thank you, that sounds like UV-A, i have not tried hydrogen peroxide, i will try this as well, im not using this for nintendos, im using this for various white plastics that have become yellow, my cabinet takes G8T5 bulbs but i can only find in UVC, would you have a recommendation for me?
Ah ok. That is why you aren’t having any luck then. You need the hydrogen peroxide in order to remove the yellow from the plastics. Your lights aren’t the issue. I recommend using a cream version of HP and not just the regular liquid. You don’t want it to dry out while you are treating it under the uv. I have a video on here showing how i do Nintendos. Process is the same. Should help you out
You can get rolls of mylar for cheap and use spray clue, or stick on mylar for a bit more, but both do a better job of uniform reflection than foil.
Thanks! Never even heard of mylar before but it’s definitely what i am using on the second uv cabinet. 🙌
goodstuff!
Thanks 🙏🏽.
What type of uv bulb do you need, i have a uv sterilizer box that has uvc bulbs, but it makes things more yellow, do i need uva or uvb bulbs instead?
