Fluffy the lion is the main attraction in this comedy. He plays the subject of an ambitious experiment done by Daniel Potter (TONY RANDALL), a scientist trying to prove that even a wild animal like a lion can be made into a pet with proper training. Wherever he goes, Potter's ponderous pet incites mayhem amongst the region's fearful residents. To escape his panicky neighbors, Potter and Fluffy hide out in a hotel. There, the owner's daughter (SHIRLEY JONES) falls for the unlikely duo, while everyone else fall all over themselves in a panic. Our heroes find themselves on the run from the law when Fluffy is accused of eating someone! Can Potter stop the police before they shoot an innocent lion? Written by Ian McKendell.
How did I miss this movie?? I was 10 in 65’ and mom took me to a lot of movies! Delightful!
I was about six years old when I first saw this movie. In my home town at the Higgies Theater. It no longer exists, it is now a restaurant. But, I remember being so, happy to watch this film and hearing the peoples laughter as well as mine. I miss so, many of this character actors which are no longer with us. R.I.P. But, they are still making us laugh and enjoying their fine work. Even as a child I knew that the theater was a place we could all go to just get away from all our troubles and worries and just have time to our selves. God Bless you all. Love this movie.
I just love Shirleys comedic facial expressions in this movie. And she looks amazing as a brunette
You got THAT right....she has a kind of Suzanne Pleshette thing going on....

She looks amazing in this movie and also the DREAM WIFE unsold 1965 TV pilot. I think Shirley really rocks it as a brunette and her hair style really compliments her beautiful face.
A good watch. Shirley Jones was gorgeous. We have Shirley from 'The Partridge Family', Jim Backus from 'Gilligan's Island', Dick Sargent from 'Bewitched' and Tony Randall from 'The Odd Couple'. A veritable who's who of classic TV. Plus Howard Morris as the drunk. They don't make them like this anymore. Thanks for the upload, Keylie!
And Mrs Drysdale! From the Beverly Hillbillies!
Thank you! I have not seen this movie since I was a kid, I am 60 now and it was just as good as I remembered!
Loved this as a kid. Watched it every time it was on. Remember reading later that Tony had severe allergies to the lion. He's so cute as the lead!
Anyone who enjoyed this movie should also click onto The Brass Bottle. Another favourite of mine with Tony Randle
Amazing and funny! That lion was the true star and a very talented actor! Gotta love cats of all sizes! :)
I'd forgotten this movie. Tony Randall 👍 Lot of cute family movies with animals in the 60s.
I haven't seen this since I was a child! What a treat! Thank you!
Same. Our teacher played this on a projector for my 3rd grade class, 1977. It popped into my head a month ago and I couldn't remember the name. Then I made a serious effort and found this treat.
Great comedy. Nice change. Shirley Jones saw on stage playing Oklahoma at the O'Keefe Center, years ago.
I love Tony Randall, but to work with an actual lion, wow! Such a great cast! Thanks for uploading this classic movie !....
But Shirley loved it!
Edward Andrews and Tony Randall were a great team in a movie!!
I just finished watching this movie that I hadn't seen since I was a child. My Daddy took me to see it at our drive-in. So very enjoyable! Funny from beginning to end. I'm certain my adult sons would think it lame - but so what? They didn't grow up on the type of movies and TV as their parents and grandparents did...
I have never seen this until now. Funny and enjoyable! I cannot tolerate the garbage that is produced nowadays. Thank you for something wholesome and fun!
You're welcome
How did I miss this darling movie? What a great cast. A delight from start to finish. Thanks so much for the upload.
"Ms Claridge, what was the first thought that flashed through your mind when you heard that your husband had been devoured?!" I totally loved this movie! Thank you s-o-o much for sharing it! I laughed throughout it!
That was silly and funny at the same time, thank you Keylie.
FANTASTIC... So much fun to watch and the cast is wonderful.
It really is!
I thought this was a kids movie but it was great and I'm 56
Thank you Keylie Nelson for the upload. I saw this once when I was a kid. I loved it. I had forgotten about this. 💖
Thank you so much on a sleepless night just what's needed!
Saw this on the big screen when I was a kid. I thought it was funny then. I find it even more funny second time around. Megathanks for posting this.
Really enjoyed this movie, thanks so much for uploading it. Love these kinda of movies. I've been searching for one of my favorites, the 7 Faces of Dr. Lao , but it's proved to no avail.
My favorite movie as a little girl and I've searched for years for a VHS or DVD.

I was watching what's my line from May 23, 1965 on youtube & they mention the movie fluffy with a lion. Now I know what they where talking about.

I love this movie, never heard of it till a couple of days ago. Funny n Natural talent...I don't need all the swearing, sex, violence n nudity to enjoy a Great movie.
I wouldn't mind if the lion got naked.
Yeah, I agree. I get enough of that stuff at home.........

+Xavier Workshop I remember as a kid I play like I had a loin I named it fluffy
I used to beg my dad for a black panther. He’d just say “you’re on drugs”. 😄
Thank you so much for posting this. Love this movie.
You are welcome!
LOVE FLUFFY!!!
Cute. Thank you!
Good comedy👍👍
Love the plush blue carpeting. So much classier than today's bland "wood-style" plastic tiling.
Dove powder deodorant ingredients
Love Tony Randall 🥰
He is funny as usual.
It's a shame that people don't think a movie is funny these days unless it's laced with obscenities, and decent wholesome movies are considered corny or bad if not.
You are right on!
Peter I know it’s a shame too.
Nowadays, there are some people who don't care if they take political incorrectness to extremes. OR, worse yet, jut like to think any type of clean-cut entertainment is being politically correct (when in actuality, that's not even at all the case).
😇
@cat magic Gee, my comment got three likes, so apparently they know darn full well what I'm talking about.
so good and funny.
Great Movie...Funny and FUN....Not Like the Garbage Put out today👍👍
I loved this movie!!
cute and funny movie .... that's what we need to cheer us up .... to forget a little that crazy world out there whit those DIRTY POLITICIANS ,,,, Thanks Keylie Nelson ,,, 10/14/2019
immer wieder gut, guter alter Tony ;) - RiP
i just love this movie saw it as a child
Fantastic Movie.
I would like to see a remake of this
Classic tony randall
Lots of fun w/ so many familiar faces. The young bride is Celia Kaye from "Island of the Blue Dolphins".
I. Love. This. Movie
This is a fun movie
fun and wonderful movie....
8:11 I remember to see 1957 MGM Leo The Lion in the movie.
I hope this movie was part of legislation not allowing movie companies to scare animals for money.
FLUFFY came out in 1965 and so did CLARENCE THE CROSS EYED LION and ZEBRA IN THE KITCHEN.
That animated lion in the opening titles reminds me of Loeki de Leeuw, the cartoon lion that used to be on Dutch TV during ad breaks.
Tugby !!
Nice film
I like Shirley Jones better with dark hair than as a Partridge Family blonde.
I can't believe Jim Backus got such low billing. He was a household name well before Gilligan.
Great film
Now you know why we don't allow pets, except Fluffy of course.
Fluffy is sitting in the dumbwaiter in Mr. Sweeney's hotel room. When he lets out a roar, Sweeney says to his cat, who sitting upright, "Do it again." The cat, now in a crouched position, opens his mouth as Fluffy roars again. Next scene, the cat is back sitting upright.
I saw Tony Randall discuss this movie in an interview. He didn't really like working with a lion, mainly because he said they smell so awful.
I remember seeing Tony Randall on some talk show saying that the lion was terrible to work with and that the film wasn't very good. The producers were probably trying to cash in on the Born Free-Daktari craze.
Tony Randall also said that the lion "pissed" everywhere! No wonder he was "pissed".
Ernest T Bass !
He's a stitch!
It’s he, it’s he, it’s Ernest T!
He's a nut!
I remember this movie
Which virus did those bats (which he mentioned at 31:57) carry?:D The filmmakers couldn’t predict that it would be a hot topic in 2020 and 2021;)
Truly odd indeed.
I would like to see this on dvd
Trevor Keyes Me too. I would definitely buy it.
I like her better with dark hair.
jaymillymills I Agree
Would love to see a HD print on ITunes
Ten grand in 1965...and that was real money, based on the gold standard, not the funny money they print now.
How did they get that lion to behave so well ?!
I'm wondering if that is Clarence the cross eyed lion who was on Daktari around the same time.
ok but they used the same animals in different shows...they did this with Bart the bear...anyhow thank s for clearing that up for me....
dakotahstr It was
When he says Texas, he means Carlsbad
31:51 did he say bats and virus in the same sentence?
Someone please help what color are Edward Andrews eyes I can't tell
Is fluffy the mgm lion?
I'm fluffy ha ha
Unbelievable who trained it
Zamba the lion trained by Ralph Helfer: www.imdb.com/name/nm3815917/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm
Not "it". Zamba was a male lion, so "him".
@@sarahsilverlight6161 Way to stick "it" to 'em!
A "bit" over the top one might say. A not very subtle "screw-ball comedy.
I don't know if I will be able to "stay the course" and watch the whole thing.
Now "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World" kind of grows on one, but I may have to watch this in sections.
Wish me luck!
I'm 73.......
Luffy...
a lion?
sounds like another example of animal exploitation!
Now go back to eating your KFC.
It's a great movie, until Shirley Jones enters the apartment. After that it goes down hill with tedious, drawn out slap stick. I made it through until the father's friend was caught in the apartment, but the pain of ridiculous, idiotic frenzy, posing as humor, was too much.
Sorry, I really wanted to like the movie. (If they cut out half the silliness, it could be a decent movie.)
Farce of stupid idiocy that makes the insane assume they are normal.
Tony and Shirley must have needed the work.
Not a good movie....THUMBS DOWN!
Each to his own!
Missing the lack of profanity and violence that you consider so imperative to a movie, Logo?
Quit lion.
Boooooooring!!!
How did I miss this movie?? I was 10 in 65’ and mom took me to a lot of movies! Delightful!
