I am still a bit confused about this storyline. Ellie and Nick were BOTH very drunk and Nick never forced her to do anything. It's not like he gave Ellie the alcohol or forced her to drink it either. Nick was just going along with what Ellie was doing and probably didn't see anything wrong with it. If he did have some doubt of what he was doing was wrong- it wasn't televised. I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't think that this was fair on Nick because I don't think he deserved a possible police sentence and his life nearly ruined for something that he didn't do. Ellie couldn't remember what happened but it didn't mean it was rape. As I said before it wasn't just Ellie who was drunk and I think she should've given Nick a chance to properly talk before she went to the police. I am just a bit confused about the plot line and think it is a bit messy. I could be missing something completely but I just don't understand it :/

poppy 2000 I think it was because she was unconscious and wasn't in the state of mind to say 'yes' to Nick,maybe she was willing but then changed her mind but couldn't say no because she was unconscious?
i panic at discos yes I think that's what the storyline was but I don't really see how that could be completely nicks fault and I don't think he deserved to be reported to the police

i don't feel like this storyline was conveyed very well, i feel like having holly saying nick filmed her during sex without her consent would've made it different, but holly's character isn't smart enough to realize what he did to her was wrong. its a good storyline though but some things are missing :/

+Miri E Unless Nick filmed himself sleeping with Ellie, and that footage proved she was not in a state of mind to give consent, the video filming cannot automatically be brought into the alleged rape case. Other rapes/breach of consent could. If for instance someone from Nick`s past made rape allegations against him, the prosecution could use that testimony, or maybe even include that incident, into the list of charges brought against Nick. Even if someone was in one of the other cubicles when Nick and Holly had sex in the toilets of the Dog, despite Holly was very reluctant at first. The fact Nick kept pushing her, could be used against him.
But should Nick get convicted, in real life that is not likely to have been for the incident involving Ellie. The evidence in that case are so weak, even if there were more charges of rape Nick was charged and convicted for, he still could have been found innocent of raping her. Her case might not even have been included among those selected for trial, because the evidence are so weak.
nick is a good actor doing a good job in Hollyoaks.

+jordan poyant Freddie is likely to be in more trouble than Nick ever was. Since he punched Nick into the hot tub, and Nick ended up face down in the water, but Freddie didn`t do anything to help, could mean Freddie could be charged with attemptive murder.

Maybe but it has been dragged on for so long, and I am not sure who I should blame here, because I won't blame Nick, They both were drunk that night so... it is just abit boring now.
