I only started playing this year, after the closure of the eShop (obviously i downloaded it before the closure), so I've never been able to buy gem apples. I'm near the end-game, so it's become a slog (Only 2 more quests to unlock). But you absolutely can do the missions that require an "adventurer": when you click the blue "Wandering Adventurers" button on the main screen, it automatically downloads a copy of 3 random real-world players who are similar level to you. You can use this once a day without spending apples. When you form a team before a quest, you can now choose those adventurers it downloaded to go with you. They're CPU-controlled NPCs, just like your "teammates." It's practically necessary to do this to advance in the game at a reasonable pace, because you'll sometimes get players with better equipment than what you have. The catch is you can only use each adventurer 3 times. It is possible that you download them again, though--it's happened to me several times. There is a limit to the number of adventurers you can store at the same time, though (about 18, I think). After the online multiplayer servers are closed down next April, I'm sure this part of the game won't work anymore. The missions I'm personally concerned about are the wireless quests: it's local multiplayer, so you need someone with a 3DS who has the game on their system to play with you in the same room--I currently do not have that. BTW, local multiplayer in games will still work after the server closure.
I really hope you talk about Super Kirby Clash because i have a lot of things to say about the game and most of all of it is negative to the Micro transactions (go figure) to how the game was a NIGHTMARE to complete AND I HAVEN'T TOUCH THE PARTY MODE the game was a painful to complete main story wise but i do have little good things to say about the game and going to give my own rating on the game once and if Super Kirby Clash video comes out. also the online part of the game will straight up not work due to NIntendo keeps killing the 3ds family so the other part of the game will not work on April on next year.
I've been playing the switch one on and off (funny thing it was one of my first experiences with actually playing a kirby game and I didn't know who the hell half the characters were in the game at the time) and I've made it all the way to unlocking and beating all of the story mode battles WITHOUT PAYING EVEN A CENT, AND I intend to keep playing (I think the costumes were what kept me going tbh I was determined to get those adorable outfits onto my kirbs lol)
Yeah I absolutely agree with the sentiment of the video. I love me some Kirby bosses and this game does some really cool things with the basic Kirby boss formula, but because of micro transactions, it just ends up not being very good at all. Hopefully Super Clash leaves a slightly better impression like it does with me.

I beat the true final boss in under 2 weeks without paying a penny, it's not that bad
Saved me some storage and time. Thanks for the genuine review
You're welcome :)
I had fun with the switch one. (Also first)

I cant wait to play, I'm trying to be optimistic going in that the micro transactions don't do the same amount of bogging down that they do here
@@GameControllerNetwork don't work really
Your Rating If It Weren’t For Nintendo’s incompetents:

I hope so too
Good video
Thanks so much!
I despise this game as well as its sequel.
That doesn't bode well for when I play the sequel lol
@@GameControllerNetwork at least it’s my opinion. I really don’t like freemium games.
Ur overreacting, it’s a solid game. You can also just make a one time payment that’s still less than a full priced game and get all the benefits
Not anymore now that the eshop and servers are down
@@GameControllerNetwork Yes but you also can’t even download it anymore
@@KirbyMasterArchives so those of us who downloaded it and played it post-eshop shutdown are out of luck lol
@@GameControllerNetwork That’s true. 3DS shutting down is a sad time
@@KirbyMasterArchives ripperoni :(
