There's a really nice detail in this game that made me so happy when I saw it, and it's so subtle that most people won't even think it's anything. When Miles talks with Ganke and Haliey [47:23], Miles and Ganke sign to Haliey, of course, but also to each other what they're saying so Haliey still understands the conversation, instead of just speaking to each other. Deaf people get left out of a lot of conversations this way, so seeing this minor detail to keep Haliey included in the conversation is beautiful. Again, it's something most people won't pick up on or notice, but seeing it in a game like this makes me so so happy. Edit: I wanna make my comment a little clearer. It's not that Miles and Ganke are signing to Haliey AT ALL, it's that they're signing CONSISTENTLY so she's not left out of the conversation. Two hearing people don't need to sign to each other, they can hear each other, but they sign while they speak to each other so Hailey isn't left out. For people who aren't in the deaf or HOH community, they don't think about how small things in a conversation affect deaf or HOH people. But consistently signing in a conversation with a deaf or HOH person, even when you're talking to a hearing person, keeps them included, and it means the most to them.

Yeah. Even if you're not talking directly to them, it's important to still let them know what you're saying so that they know what's going on or how to participate in the conversation. It's a nice attention to detail.

Using sandman as the first/tutorial boss is such a good idea! Sandman perfectly fits the needed requirements for a tutorial and easily teaches the player how to play
I absolutely love the way Harry moves and kinda fidgets while sitting on the bleachers outside of the school. It’s something so small but that tiny movement while sitting makes him feel so much more real
Watching this after playing through the game myself. I absolutely loved everything about this game!!! The jokes both Miles and Peter make while fighting have got to be one of my most favorite things about the Spiderman games. Side note, I think something that is overlooked is how amazing the voice acting is. Like when Peter and Miles are talking on the phone while fighting or simply swinging around, they talk way louder and sound different compared to when they aren’t fighting or anything and it just really adds to the immersion.
I usually love watching Jack's plathroughs as background stimulation while I craft, but I couldn't even pay attention to my crochet for most of this video. The graphics are stunning, the transitions between cutscenes and gameplay were seamless, and Insomnia is definitely on a whole new level. Can't wait to keep watching!!

I just love how it feels like they are showing Peter getting hit far more often than Miles in the introduction fight with sandman to show how he’s getting older, and miles still has the youth of a teenage Spider-Man which Peter has lost. I really think Peters insecurity surrounding that he is getting slower and less attentive will play a massive role in why he takes the symbiote
Bruh Peter is only 25 years old. 25 is like the peak of the Human Body. IMO the developers made the introduction like that in order to show the new features that they added and the stuff they improved from the previous game.

the way this game keeps some of the more meta things and weaves them into the story so it makes sense…its so creative and thoughtful! like the recap being exposition in the form of miles asking peter for help on an essay, and when spider-man is on the phone and an event triggers (like running into enemies) he’ll say “i’ll call you right back”, then when it’s over he calls back and says “where was i again? oh yeah” and then it starts up the call dialogue from where u left off. such nice attention to detail all around
I'm so glad about the calls thing, it was an issue on the previous games, where the conversation could have been shut off forever due to a crime or Peter/Miles entering a cutscene

You can really tell Insomniac understand and love Spider-Man. They just totally get what makes him one of the greatest superheroes and manage to bring him to life in a way that many other games and movies fail to.

I absolutely love this game, not just for the fact that the story and gameplay is amazing but also some of the little things, like Bosses having health bars now so you can see how close you are to beating them, and the web wings making it easier to get across the river (also that you can GO across the river)
the games have so much story and characters they just wouldn’t work as a movie, maybe a tv show like loki but even then the video game format lets the story really go all out in ways only a video game like this can. video games truly are the best storytelling medium when done like this

this game has made me realize how little actual content we've gotten with peter and miles as partners with an essentially equal focus on each, and it is just lovely ofc we saw glimpses of that in into the spiderverse, but i appreciate it with a more active peter and experienced miles, their chemistry is so perfect and honestly i'd love to see them as a duo more often going forward (to be clear im not saying miles should be peters sidekick but i kind of like the idea of them being "the spidermen" and working as equal partners)
Honest I think they got it perfect with Pete’s face in the OG. he’s aged since he became Spider-Man, and it showed well with his character model. This isn’t a high school Spider-Man, he had been Spider-Man for years at that point, even back in SM1. And them making him look younger when he’s getting older just didn’t sit well. he definitely shouldn’t look like an 47 year old or something, but showing the experience he’s had and exhaustion he’s had from being Spider-Man really fit him. It just feels like since he’s such a mentor and honestly kind of a father figure to Miles now, all the wrinkles and just visual exhaustion from life that Pete had SM1 just kinda felt perfect and I miss it.
I agree. I still like the “weathered” Peter more. This one just seems too young. Also, not sure I’m a fan of the new MJ model. Something about her seems…off. I don’t know if it’s the eyes or the face itself, but it looks way off.

Spider-Man will always be one of those superheroes that have a special place in my heart, his story resonates with me, when the first game first came out I had just graduated school and was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, now 5 years later I’m an adult with still no idea what I’m doing with my life except finishing my bachelors and hopefully getting a job I don’t hate

It’s actually so nice to see Peter get the help he needs and deserves, after so many years of doing this stuff alone. Just the fact that he’s almost got this little team of people willing to do their part, and that app Genke made that makes it so much easier to help people, and quickly too! It must be such a relief on Pete, that he now can help people that he might’ve never known needed help before, because civilians can put in requests from all over the city. + he’s got another Spider-Man helping him out now. I’m kinda getting a little emotional about it 😭 I just love Spider-Man so much🕷️❤️ (ironically enough, I’ve got pretty bad arachnophobia 😂)

Watching this after playing through the game myself. I absolutely loved everything about this game!!! The jokes both Miles and Peter make while fighting have got to be one of my most favorite things about the Spiderman games.
Side note, I think something that is overlooked is how amazing the voice acting is. Like when Peter and Miles are talking on the phone while fighting or simply swinging around, they talk way louder and sound different compared to when they aren’t fighting or anything and it just really adds to the immersion.
I usually love watching Jack's plathroughs as background stimulation while I craft, but I couldn't even pay attention to my crochet for most of this video. The graphics are stunning, the transitions between cutscenes and gameplay were seamless, and Insomnia is definitely on a whole new level. Can't wait to keep watching!!

I just love how it feels like they are showing Peter getting hit far more often than Miles in the introduction fight with sandman to show how he’s getting older, and miles still has the youth of a teenage Spider-Man which Peter has lost. I really think Peters insecurity surrounding that he is getting slower and less attentive will play a massive role in why he takes the symbiote

the way this game keeps some of the more meta things and weaves them into the story so it makes sense…its so creative and thoughtful! like the recap being exposition in the form of miles asking peter for help on an essay, and when spider-man is on the phone and an event triggers (like running into enemies) he’ll say “i’ll call you right back”, then when it’s over he calls back and says “where was i again? oh yeah” and then it starts up the call dialogue from where u left off. such nice attention to detail all around
I'm so glad about the calls thing, it was an issue on the previous games, where the conversation could have been shut off forever due to a crime or Peter/Miles entering a cutscene

I absolutely love this game, not just for the fact that the story and gameplay is amazing but also some of the little things, like Bosses having health bars now so you can see how close you are to beating them, and the web wings making it easier to get across the river (also that you can GO across the river)
This game should really be remade into an actual movie it would be so good
the games have so much story and characters they just wouldn’t work as a movie, maybe a tv show like loki but even then the video game format lets the story really go all out in ways only a video game like this can. video games truly are the best storytelling medium when done like this

Thing I love about jack is that when he plays a game, he listens to what the game tells him to do and he listens to the conversations hinting at what to do… unlike some other RUclipsrs
this game has made me realize how little actual content we've gotten with peter and miles as partners with an essentially equal focus on each, and it is just lovely ofc we saw glimpses of that in into the spiderverse, but i appreciate it with a more active peter and experienced miles, their chemistry is so perfect and honestly i'd love to see them as a duo more often going forward (to be clear im not saying miles should be peters sidekick but i kind of like the idea of them being "the spidermen" and working as equal partners)
Honest I think they got it perfect with Pete’s face in the OG. he’s aged since he became Spider-Man, and it showed well with his character model. This isn’t a high school Spider-Man, he had been Spider-Man for years at that point, even back in SM1. And them making him look younger when he’s getting older just didn’t sit well. he definitely shouldn’t look like an 47 year old or something, but showing the experience he’s had and exhaustion he’s had from being Spider-Man really fit him. It just feels like since he’s such a mentor and honestly kind of a father figure to Miles now, all the wrinkles and just visual exhaustion from life that Pete had SM1 just kinda felt perfect and I miss it.

Spider-Man will always be one of those superheroes that have a special place in my heart, his story resonates with me, when the first game first came out I had just graduated school and was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, now 5 years later I’m an adult with still no idea what I’m doing with my life except finishing my bachelors and hopefully getting a job I don’t hate

Just the fact that he’s almost got this little team of people willing to do their part, and that app Genke made that makes it so much easier to help people, and quickly too!
It must be such a relief on Pete, that he now can help people that he might’ve never known needed help before, because civilians can put in requests from all over the city. + he’s got another Spider-Man helping him out now. I’m kinda getting a little emotional about it 😭
