I screeched and I thought I woke everyone up because I never got a safari shiny before (unless you count oras because I hunted a Pikachu after getting the shiny charm). I caught the wooper
Something to keep in mind is in gen3 games outside emerald, pokemon abilities had no out of battle effects. So things like synchronize and illuminate do not work.
My little brother actually found and caught a shiny Rhyhorn in the Safari Zone. He was soooo nervous hoping it wouldnt run. Luckily he caught it, and still has it to this day as a Shiny Rhyperior over 6years ago.
Honestly, this video has inspired me. I wish I had known about Safari Week this year, cuz I would have loved to hunt for something. I'm definitely participating in 2022's Safari Week, and I think I'm gonna shiny hunt for one of my favorite Pokemon, a Litwick in Pokemon Black
Funny enough one day I forget how many years ago I got my first shiny. I was messing around in Ruby and Sapphire in the safari zone and randomly encountered a shiny Psyduck. I was able to capture it too. I think I had an adrenaline rush for about an hour.
When you caught the golden eggs I jumped idky tho….. the excitement of hunting a shiny and finally getting it is awesome! Good luck to you and your other Shiny Hunts ✨ 😎
I feel ya. The first shiny I ever found (not counting lake of rage) was a full odds shiny yanma on the great marsh in platinum. I was so excited that I forgot I was in the safari, so when I tried to press bag to master ball it, I pressed bait instead. It then looked me in the eyes, stayed one turn just to spite me as it broke out of my next ball, and ran despite the bait I misclicked. I was able to sort of redeem myself by catching a shiny yanma in Pokémon go like 10 years later, but I will always remember that feeling. I didn’t find another shiny on any Pokémon game after that failed yanma until I found a shiny pangoro in Pokémon moon while sos chaining for a HA pancham to be my false swiper many years later. Even though it’s curse has been lifted, I always remember this every time I see a yanma.
The very first shiny I ever found in any Pokémon game was a shiny Bibarel in Diamond’s Great Marsh. It ran away. I was genuinely confused as to why it was colored different and why it sparkled, but that’s what led me to learn about shinies
I still remember my first time finding was a shiny WAS in the Safari Zone in FireRed. Twas an Exeggcute and young 11 year old me thought "OH GOD WHY IS IT YELLOW?!" i caught it and evolved it and questioned why it even was yellow. I thought i found a creepypasta level Pokemon in the game. And TO THIS DAY! I still don't know where that Exeggcutor is now. I transferred it to Heart Gold but i lost that copy so someone probably has that Exeggcutor somewhere
I remember finding a random Slowpoke in my LeafGreen in the Safari Zone. Threw a ball and failed to catch it. Then it ran away the first chance it got. I still vividly remember it's grin when it ran away from me.
The funny thing is literally 1 day after this upload I caught a random shiny gastly on my leafgreen save file, then I got a RANDOM SHINY RHYHORN THE NEXT DAY IN THE SAFARI ZONE LIKE WHAT IS THIS LUCK
I was in the Safari Zone in Kanto, third gen remake, and I was not even shiny hunting, merely trying to catch those hard to catch spawns to complete my Pokèdex, been running around in that grass for an hour or two. Of course out of nowhere comes a shiny Rhydon. And of course it fled immediatly.
This year was my first Safari Week, my goal was to encounter 3 shinies and I did exactly that. I caught a Raticate and Exeggcute, and had a purple Slowbro flee from me.
Y'know shiny hunting can be really annoying, but whenever I shiny hunt a Pokémon I really like, I feel like it's more fun because I see the Pokémon on my screen and I'm like "Omg it's a fvcking Lotad, omg, my boy"
Participated in Safari week for my 1st time in 2021. During non SAfari Week I had found and Exeggcute and caught it. During Safari Week I had found a venonat and caught it. So far I am 2/2 in Safari Shinies, but I probably won't hunt there again until next summer
I feel that pain. I've never hunted in any Safari Zone (well, aside from ORAS, but I'm talking actual Safari game Safari Zones), and yet I've found a few Shinies in them anyway. I've caught almost all of them, too- the one I didn't catch, an Ekans in HeartGold. Threw a Safari Ball. Didn't even shake. The Ekans fled. Arbok is one of my favorite Pokémon, too.
the very first shiny I ever encountered was a full-odds mr. mime in the heartgold safari zone. I'm still mad that it got away, and also that out of all the pokemon it couldve been, it was a mr. mime.
I shiny hunted in the safari zone with the cute charm glitch and it was still a giant pain! I’m never full odds hunting, Candyeevee you have waaaay more dedication and patience than I do!
I still remember a safari shiny I caught: trying to complete the pokèdex, I went to see if I could find a Croagunk on the binoculars and indeed it showed it in the top right zone - I went there to catch it and then it happeared: a purple Quagsire! I caught a shiny before the reason I went there. Also, don't be sad for a shiny pokemon that escaped - in crystal I found both a Geodude and a Graveler shiny at random: both decided to self destruct rather than be caught...
I've had my fair share of Safari wins and fails, but none are crazier in my collection than my Chansey saga. 11 months, 5 shiny mouldy egg girls, 19 balls total, 4 failures, and finally, I caught it. I got the green Chansey to call my own. Fun fact. The 4th Chansey stayed for 12 turns. TWELVE. Then it fled on a 3 shake fake...

Evie, sweety. I've been SRing Platinum Giratina on and off for 8 years. Don't worry, it gets worse. :)
Especially when you consider unless you have a masterball there's a decent chance it will die of struggle given it's hard to catch and it doesn't have all that much PP
@@ShadowFox10587O Dusk balls have the next highest catch rate, as long as the time is at night.
@@CigaretteCrayon that's what I use but it's not uncommon for it to struggle itself to death anyway
you can lower it to 1HP put it to sleep and use dusk balls and not catch it then after a reset throw a pokeball first turn and catch it full HP it just dependes on if the RNG goes in your favor or not you can increse your chances but it's still a dice roll
it's not that big of a deal normally just save before you fight it and reset but if it's shiny you only have one shot
just came back to binge while doing safari week and also to sob about the fact that i accidentally ran from a shiny paras less than 1000 encounters in because i forgot to turn the sound on. fun times
That’s rough, I hope you reclaim quickly it if you hunt for it ✨ I can relate, I accidentally ran from a shiny Girafarig around 2006 in Emerald (had the sound off and was in the car). I will reclaim it at some point though!
@@shinycollector7 i got it the same day i posted this on the same game somehow, it was. insane. it wasn't even one of my targets but hey 😭👍 good luck on the girafarig hunt
Let me tell you all a story:
I went in the great Marsh to look for a exeggcute cause I saw one a few hours ago (can I mention that this was at around 1am) I didn't realize before it was too late that it had rotated to tangela but I did find the axolotl Pokemon a shiny wooper.
If someone has ever deserved to complete a shiny pokedex it's Lucy
My little brother actually found and caught a shiny Rhyhorn in the Safari Zone. He was soooo nervous hoping it wouldnt run. Luckily he caught it, and still has it to this day as a Shiny Rhyperior over 6years ago.
Honestly, this video has inspired me. I wish I had known about Safari Week this year, cuz I would have loved to hunt for something. I'm definitely participating in 2022's Safari Week, and I think I'm gonna shiny hunt for one of my favorite Pokemon, a Litwick in Pokemon Black
Can we talk about how the animation is incredibly clean
I’m first again
You were the actual first
no ur not
gg
Nope
Discovering this channel was the best thing ever it's fun to watch your videos while trying to get a shiny
I am very happy that someone talks about absol,he's awesome as hell!
I remember actually attempting a Safari Week hunt in Heartgold, and I actually managed to catch a Shiny Jigglypuff!
I feel this in my soul.....the first ever real shiny I found was a shiny Seaking in the safari zone. It ran after 5 balls.
Awww man I'm so sorry Luvie 😭 I felt your pain. Hopefully you can get that shiny Yanma one day
I remember finding a random Slowpoke in my LeafGreen in the Safari Zone.
That Luigi's Mansion Boodar sound effect triggered something in me
I feel you. Once I accidentally attacked a low-level shiny snom and killed it. The next day I got a shiny greedent tho.
You KILL snom??! You punt him like football? Jail! Jail for Mayo for one hundred years!!!
@@riley6833 Accidents happen okay?
My first shiny ever was an Exeggcute in the Leaf Green safari zone randomly. I wasnt looking. I caught it, too.
Boy, all the videos from this channel and your personal one are so relaxing to watch :)
I remember watching you 4 years ago, I have no idea why RUclips recommend me this video but I'm glad it did :)
Oof sorry about the Yanma, but awesome you got those other targets!!!
I’m super happy you love the drawing I did btw, thanks for featuring it!!! :D
I'm sorry for your loss, sending condolences
9:27 this actually made me cry to watch
Participated in Safari week for my 1st time in 2021. During non SAfari Week I had found and Exeggcute and caught it. During Safari Week I had found a venonat and caught it. So far I am 2/2 in Safari Shinies, but I probably won't hunt there again until next summer
9:26 the sadness in this voice is palpable…
You know it's gonna be a great video when you like even before watching.
I found a shiny Cubone in the HG/SS safari zone and it was one of the most stressful experiences of my life
the very first shiny I ever encountered was a full-odds mr. mime in the heartgold safari zone. I'm still mad that it got away, and also that out of all the pokemon it couldve been, it was a mr. mime.
It's so cool how this is the second video in a row you've referenced the Matt!
Also wonderful video as always, also also the wiggly hair is cool!
