I first came across Taken just after ‘And They Slept’ was released and I was straight up hooked on how they composed their songs. Chad and Eriks guitar harmonizations just mesmerized me. Rays vocals so heartfelt was all this teenager growing up in a small town in Utah needed. This album played such a large part in my early years that I still pass on to anyone who’ll listen! Taken still lives!
never knew about this band back in the early 2000"s but I did see them play with horse the band last year...amazing band, reminds me of Alexisonfire,In Pieces,This Day Forward,Beloved.
They came out with a new EP in 2018, plus they've got tickets to a show in NYC on August 25th. It's still a shame they had broken up right after this EP. I can only imagine how their career would've gone right afterwards. But hey, the newer music sounds pretty good and the style is pretty similar to here.

We actually had the fortune of playing some kinda indoor skatepark in OC in some strip mall with Taken, early ass version of Ghost Inside (singer I think only), and Bullet Train To Vegas.... like 2003 or 2004. Super last minute, but it was actually incredible. This band was fucking phenominal.... and weren't even supposed to play.

Their discography is pretty cool, but quite short. This album is their more polished work and, to me, their finest. However, "And They Slept" was pretty solid in my memories. I see that someone uploaded the album, so it's time to give it a new listen!
