@@JamesELLYale it would definitely need rewording to work in the rules (or rewording the rules based on recent events) but the idea of a card preventing creatures from not being able to be blocked would be sick, even if it makes my bridges lose value
I like to think that "Creatures can attack" means that any creature can attack; Including creatures with defender, or summoning sickness. As further distinction from haste, still not allowing for tap abilities, only attacks.
Honestly the best version og this was when you recorded yourself creating the decks, and were trying to game the system/ make cards that have powerful names/ counters to your opponents stuff. Would love to see more of that. Still funny stuff eitherway.
We stopped doing those because people were watching them less and the AI was getting good enough that it wasn't as fun. But maybe again in the future someday if a new AI tool appears :)
Have y’all tried using the Roborosewater Masters Spiral Chaos Commander decks? There’s some wild cards like lands with planeswalker loyalty abilities, cards with gravestorm, and infinite loops involving energy counters.
The random AI games are always a fun time, everyone gets a laugh of the ridiculous stuff that comes up on the cards, and sometimes you get some interesting valid interaction between the cards.
1:53 I love that you guys understand this! People PLAYING with AI Generated cards is what I LOVE about this series! The "Play on Curve" rule makes things neat, IMHO. 4:47 Lol. This game was tragically lopsided & short. Hopefully we can get more AI in the near future! Thanks for uploading this neat video!
Deech Paind is downright OP. It says "inspect your library", but it doesn't say to shuffle it. Which means you can look through it and remember the order of the cards.
Honestly "tap (whatever): you don't draw a card" would legitimately be a decent counter against mill decks. Start of draw step, use the effect, skip the draw, no deckout!
I've been brewing up some early standard decks and honestly Island Sanctuary is so good in a control deck for exactly that reason when you're running Jayemdae Tomes, your Rods of Ruin aren't fast enough to kill your opponent (usually they're best for removing creatures when they can), your list is too tight to run Millstones, and you don't have a Braingeyser left to make your opponent draw the rest of their deck (maybe it got Hymn to Tourached or Wheel of Fortuned, or maybe you're playing with 4ED instead of Revised). Your opponent is effectively locked out of the game with your Counterspells/Swords/Wraths/Rods/Ivory Tower, but you're often 20+ cards ahead of them.
Honestly, Pitfall Lands might actually be good in some situations... it would allow you to basically unpay the mana cost of any white spell you play that gets countered or otherwise negated.
I started developing interest towards Magic because of this Ai generated deck videos, in my opinion this type if videos is best way to introduce new people to the game, also i became big Thoralf fan that dude is definition of a 'professional player'. Keep in producing this videos guys :)
I think you guys misread the Hister ability. It has a full stop on it, therefore the second sentence is a separate effect. The creature can't be blocked except by artifacts and/or black creatures, PERIOD. Then the other effect states "If a player would draw a card at the beginning of the next end step", and that's it. Also, Navrreklatage Valiash gives you a 2/2 emblem for 3, not for free. That's an additional cost you have to pay. You shouldn't have put a 2/2 on the battlefield, because you didn't pay the extra cost.
Love all the Ai generated card content. Id love to see a sequal either using the Urza's ai deck generator or pitting an Ai deck against a deck made out of cards from 4 random packs.
Man, I wanna see a future video where two mtg players build the most powerful decks they can, strictly using ai generated cards that have been used in these past videos. That video would make my day.
This was a lot of fun! I think I prefer the format where you try to manually generate the cards, so you can try to "force" synergies and/or make counters to what your opponent is doing, but this was cool too. I get that you felt (from other comments) that that ai was getting too good at making realistic cards, but I honestly think that's fine - the fun is trying to make the synergies, if the cards end up being realistic, then cool, now it's just a normalish game of magic with funnily crafted decks of unique cards.
"Your creatures can attack" is kind of like blood moon. Imagine it with stax or against that one creature that says only 1 creature may attack or block this turn.
The AI videos really shine in terms of considering rules and card design. They show what directions would be possible. A land with the ability to regenerate lands? Possibly a useful tool to protect man-lands or as a hate card to prevent land destruction strategies (where have they gone btw). Or that creature that changes sides? Paired with a good etb effect or some other (ab)usable value ... would be a worthwhile card. Especially in commander. So: Wonderful video again.
@@doylerudolph7965 Reads to me like "search your library, then sacrifice it" is all the combined optional effect. That there's no "if you do" just means that if something prevents you from searching your library, you can still sacrifice the creature.
So Urza's AI now has the ability to generate commander decks and jumpstart packs... I would love to see you play either :D of course you can only pick the name of your deck / boosters and not look at the contents
Thoralf's interpretation of hister as something that cares if you drew at the end of your last turn is cool. Just as like a weird card for limited to interact with monarch or something, but I like the flavor.
"Creatures can attack" is actually just a very niche way of getting around certain cards such as angelic arbiter that makes you unable to attack with creatures
Inspired my brother and I to do one, using Urza's AI. They felt a bit more like real games, with pronounceable cards. Turn 1, 1 blue sorcery to summon a 4 cost 3/4 that makes your opponent sacrifice a non-land permanent at the beginning of each turn unless they pay 3 is some real BS. But with the amount of stinkers mixed in with the good cards, they ended up being actually kind of close. And really interesting.
