- How to fold a shirt under 2 seconds. This step by step guide shows you how to fold a shirt very quickly. Works on all short sleeved tops including t-shirts and polo shirts. Great tutorial and easy to learn.
Someone taught me the technique last year, I've been told its a Japanese technique which dates back to the eighties, but who invented it and when exactly I don't know.

I'm watching this 10yrs later and after failing to fold like this several times.
In my eighth attempt i finally did it in 3 -5 seconds! I'll be folding like this and practice until i perfect it.
It's going to help me in the long way.
Thank goodness i didn't gave up early , i kept doing this on my brother shirt . To do it in 3-5 sec i took 5-7 minutes of failing constantly.

When you grab the middle point, which I’m going to assume is B without doublechecking the video, I’m assuming you grab both layers of the shirt not just the front of it?

Yes. It works for tank tops, too, if you use the points very near the shoulder seam (depending on your body width, I’m a narrow person).
I think this is the best vidéo ever on RUclips (or maybe it's witch doctor). Not 5 minutes worth of random intro, straight to the point, 1mn long and you learn an easy skill that will save you a lot of time through your life !

I completely failed
Slight alteration/tip: you can get a wider end result if you make the vertical reference line halfway between the edge of the collar and the seam of the sleeve instead of halfway between the middle of the shirt and the seam/left side (otherwise the end result is a bit tall). This is actually done in the video, but the positions are very close to each other.

I initially felt dumb when I failed because I oriented the shirt incorrectly, but when I faced the side of the shirt, it worked instantly. Amazing technique!

@@travisn346 fold at the middle, once, in half, all 4 elastic ends r together. Tuck 2 pockets into the other 2. Fold same way half again and again. You ll now have a long narrow strip, which u can fold doubled several times till its the size of normal flatsheet folded. Tuck flat fitted and 2 cases in together so u have ur full beds needs all together in one package. Easy to work with.

Hey, this works, and with very little practice.
I normally fold my shirts wide however, so the stack is less tall.
And I have them color coded so I can find my t-shirts in the dark. It's all about that end user experience.

I saw this and it didn't make sense to me in a counter intuitive way. While doing it it still seemed off until I had the best folded T-shirt in my history of folding shirts! This has monumentally changed my life. Before the folds were not typically good enough compared to the much too many seconds it would take me. So most of the time I don't even bother and deal with the slight wrinkles. With this folding method, I will now fold half of my next load of laundry!! Thank you do much DaveHax. (Assuming a t shirt) Face down, flip so the end of the sleeve lines up where the other sleeve meets the body, pull the other sleeve back toward you so you're roughly staring a rectangle and then fold in thirds?
