      You're right! Unfortunately I didn't include the baking moments - which were few this time around. All my previous vid's have included baking instructions and the next one goes overboard the other way to make up for this mistake! Sorry about that.

    Very cute! I have seen other sculpters do their work, and I think your situation solving are very unique.
    Like having the eyes be those cheap wooden balls! Thats a good use of them. Or the bun inside being of cheaper clay, its more usual to use bundled up tinfoil as its light. Also never seen people use water to moisten the clay before painting with the umber.
    Did you not use rubber alcohol to take away the fingermarks becouse the water to moisten took it away? and the hair you were gonna cover later?
    Also I love the use of varnish or something like uv resin to glossen eyes and mouths, did you not use that becouse you want her to be more dead looking? Sorry for so many questions

    • @Murfs.Models
      @Murfs.Models  20 дней назад +1

      Happy to answer your questions and thanks for contributing. I have a puppet maker's background so tend to use those older techniques - the wooden eyes being one of them. I love using tried and tested old techniques. And yes, I will use UV resin in the future but didn't want to use it on this character because I didn't think it was appropriate for her. The water is used so that the paint stays wet and therefore goes on more smoothly in a wash rather than too thick. I baked the sculpt before I painted it - should have put that detail in the video! Oops, my next video has lots of baking graphics in it! Hope you keep watching - my next post will be out soon.

    Wait if she's a corpse (Wich is likely because she has that almost skeletal nose) shouldn't she be blue, purple or even green? As seen in the film?

    • @Murfs.Models
      @Murfs.Models  14 дней назад +1

      Ah ha! I like to keep to the original designs of Carlos Grangel which has her very pale white on brown paper. If you watch my next few posts coming up in the weeks ahead the colour range does indeed head towards blue. Perhaps she was a very recent addition to the Land of the Dead!

    Do you think art is slowly fading away… so many creators aren’t getting enough attention but the fact that everyone draws and does things and the fact ai exists I feel like art is fading from this world…

    • @Murfs.Models

      Art will never fade away! We are too creative as a species, all of us are creative in one way or another.. It is just finding new places to thrive, like here on RUclips! The ultra talented artists will continue to rise to the top, as they always have.
