Holy moly, outstanding! This bird is very similar to our Red-tailed hawk. This past winter I was able to photograph hawks in the woods on my property with improving success. Thanks, again, for your inspiration, Trond!
Dude that candy your eating is the KitKat here in the states lol . thats awesome lol. Anyway, love the video sir. I think these are my fav videos you put out. I love the birds of pray photos . Awesome job man .
I just love your excitement, a true testament to how a photographer feels when exposed to nature and their favorite subjects, it's so fun to see you enjoying these amazing birds, I could only dream to have this experience, I live in a big city and all birds big and small are so hard to get close to. Happy to get to watch your videos, Trond! Beautiful footage and wonderful photographs as always. What were the birds eating, the one looked like it had something yellow all over its beak?
This is so encouraging to read. Fantastic compliment. I feel honored to get all these nice comments. Thank you so much Liesl. I was feeding with a whole hen. I am not sure what the yellow was.
@@trondwestby maybe where the feathers were, it's sometimes yellow, or the vegetation on the ground. Very interesting. They are such beautiful birds, I especially liked the film and photos of the one in the tree.
Thanks Trond, fantastic as always. I always look forward to your notifications and your enthusiasm. We get many common buzzards here in Northumberland but I've never taken such close shots. The chocolate bar looks good too!!
Some simply amazing shots Trond. You certainly practise what you preach around choosing your backgrounds, they are so silky smooth. you show such passion and excitement in your work and your subjects. I share your passion but unfortunately not your skill. A lot of people would say were mad but what i wood do to lie on the floor in no more than a coffin for hours on end to experience this. Keep them coming Trond i so look forward to your uploads.
Awesome video Trond - these birds are so beautiful 😊 I saw your instagram post and really hoped it was going to be another trip to watch the birds of prey!!
Again a great video from you Trond, I love see how delicate you are to you work and the photos today was fantastic. Looking forward to your next video 😊
Superb video, as always! I once saw a young buzzard sitting on a fence at the side of a lane we were driving down. I opened my window and we got very close as I took the photos - my best buzzard photos ever! It really didn't seem worried by us and the pattern on its chest was so beautiful and unique. We went back several times in the following weeks and knew we were seeing the same one as it was so distinctive. Looking forward to your next video!
Hey Trond! It's Saturday.... and your new video is here! I call it Trounderday! To me this video was exciting, relaxing and intense! Exciting to see what you will share... relaxing to watch... and intense because of that stare the Buzzard was giving you! It could tell something was watching it from the hide. Just awesome Trond! Saying hi...Greg
Hi Trond as soon as the notification comes in I know I'm going to be watching something good and you never disappoint, your videos and images are on another level just an absolute joy to watch. Until next time take care my friend. Oh and I will give your friend a look.
Awesome 👍🏼 Foreground blur looks nice and artistic but not a huge fan if it’s a bit too much. Do you think you might benefit from raising the camera up a bit. More comfortable as it is but you could sit it on a platform to raise it about 20cm. Or you could walk press down some of the grass between you and the road kill while it’s still dark. Just a suggestion.
Thank you so much! The soft foreground I guess you either love it or hate it. For me I really like the artistic look it gives, and also the intimacy it gives to the subject. But its all about taste :) I have so many pictures of buzzards and hawks on perches from before. But thank you so much for the suggestion and for always leaving me great (and funny) comments :) Really great to have you on board this channel.
Nice photos and video! :) Thanks for sharing. Do you like the videos of Morten Hilmer? I recognized the same music and you kinda remind me of him :D otherwise its a happy coincidence
Love your videos, i'm just getting into the realms of bird photography, getting some very useful tips from you and some nice results. Keep them coming....
I use my D500 up to ISO 3200 with no problem, have also used it at 6400 ISO with good results. I recently bought a used in mint condition D850 to complement my D500, the detail that comes out of the D850 is ludicrous. In regards to removing the noise without losing any of hte feather detail, I have been using DXOPhotolab for years with Prime noise reduction, currently on DXOPhotolab2, they justreleased version 3.
Really nice to see all this, thank you. I'm pretty certain that the birds know you are there. If you search RUclips for "Lyre Bird Impression of a camera" you will find some amazing footage. Also, I can't imagine that the buzzard at 10:20 is unaware of you. My theory is that they know but simply don't think you are enough of a threat. Most scavengers are accustomed to competition for carrion. I think they have probably just figured out that those funny lumps that wiggle a bit and make clicking noises are unlikely to suddenly erupt with a charging human. Thank you for admitting that you placed bait. I see nothing wrong with that as long as you don't get animals too dependent on artificial feeding. It's also much safer for these birds to be eating far away from busy highways. Keep up the great work!
I love that little hobbit hut/hide😆😍 I wish I had one - maybe I should try to build one. Anyways great video Trond, I always enjoy your videos a lot. It reminds me of home☺️ I’m currently in Malta and have been for almost 2 months now and I’ll stay here till Christmas 🎄 there are still some videos coming out though, but man I miss the north😱😱😱 great job dude!!!
Hey Trond !! Another Great video !! Beautiful pictures ! So inspiring, the one with both buzzard is so cool. I wanted to know, since it seems to be the same spot as a previous 'birds of prey' video, if you are feeding them on those grounds ? And a little request if I may : could you write the name of the birds you see under their picture ? It would really help learn the names in English. Thank again for all those really cool videos you're doing !!
Hi Theo! What a great compliment you gave me. I feel so lucky. Thank you so much! We put out some roadkill in some of the winter month. Thanks for the suggestion. Its noted :)
