About the episode: "Jobs" is the first episode for the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared (TV Series). Its synopsis is based on how Red Guy, Duck and Yellow Guy are involuntarily in a factory because of a Briefcase, remaining for 40 years working in this factory that produces bits and parts. It was released on 23 September 2022 on All 4.
It’s kinda funny how deep you delved into the lore of their universe… just before Yellow Guy said “Wow, what a twist.”
Not really

kyle stubbs what are you doing here?? i remember seeing a few comments of yours on object show videos, didnt know you were a dhmis fan, thats awesome!!
@@unforeseeable2.058 🤓
I swear “-FATHER!? THAT one’s the DAD!?” makes me crack up every single time
He sounded more like the smart David when he said that
"Make the call, darling. Move your fingers and make the call."
I love how much this episode just feels like going to someone’s house as a kid when you don’t like them.
To me it feels more like going to a someone's house and meeting their antisocial family. There's a weird tension that makes you feel trapped and unwelcome at the same time.. idk how else to describe it
@@kiraoshiro6157 like when you sleep over at a friends house but they have all these weird traditions and act like you’re the weird one for not knowing them
Dear lord this channel is criminally underrated
Thanks Marneil Media! I really apricate that
I've been a fan of this beautiful man since 2016
@@livedeadmanay guys I wonder if there are 3 of us
ive realized that the duck guy wanted to be a family at the beginning and even tried with the bread, which didnt work so he went in himself to try and build a bubble of non Lonliness, this episode was my favorite by far, loved the horror aspect of going over to a house where your a guest with no clue what the family act like or their rules, they hit it out the park
Ryan, it's not easy to make me actually physically laugh.
Like, I often find things amusing, but am pretty stone faced about it.
The opening gag in this one made me laugh. It just caught me really off guard.
This will be my greatest accomplishment.
☝️ *_o n e_*
This is one of the few pieces of media I feel like I can Smell, which really adds to the experience. Everything about this episode feels antique in the worst way. Love your reactions to this series :D
Family scent
@Itzstarz82 was not prepared to see that notification ngl
Why is that accurate. I feel like I can SMELL the house just from looking at it, it’s weird but amazing as well
You’re not wrong about this having parallels to the third episode of RUclips. It has the picnic setting, a talking tree, the grandma looks like Malcom in my opinion and they both present how some religions or other groups teach about love being strict and family only being a certain way. This is an incredible episode for sure, and I can’t wait to see what you think of the final three. In my opinion, both the funniest and the best episodes are still to come
There's lots of parallels between the episodes.
The second episodes both deal with the inevitability of things ending.
The fourth episode features Colin the computer and the characters going online.
The fifth episode features a character desperately trying to break free from the "simulation" and ends with a glimpse of the world beyond.
The last episode revolves around Yellow Guy encountering a bunch of different teachers and Red walking through a tiled void, as well as an encounter with the person that seems to be running the whole show.
@@ethanlivemere1162 and the first episode simply has a teacher teaching them outright false info in both. Nice observations!
@@twistedcoasters1533 the first ones both have the teacher teaching them about being creative and doing what they want, but limiting their choices at the end
@@lav-kitty trueee
The creators love foreshadowing. Our "teacher" in the fourth episode is a worm and the newspaper Duck was reading in the second episode had section that read "Worm fired for harassment." Just thought you should be aware of that.
He’s an eagle!
@@ramosravenclaw3552 He's a pesky bee.
Spoiler alerts
what are you talking about! hes an eagle. i thought everyone knew that
Just Wait For His Wings To Sprout
The symbolism in this show is amassing, like for instance, the scene where the whole family dies at the end is actually a reference to Ryan every time Duck guy is on screen.
I'm glad I found someone else who laughed hysterically over the fact it was all for a discount
My favorite little fact i learned about this episode is that the twins' puppets are actually mouthless, their mouths are completely cg.
Oh wow.
That's the case for all puppets
@@diamondmemer9754 no, the main puppets are fine
@@spurrit7156 all puppets with that kind of mouth, I should have been more specific
You are definitely one of, if not THE best channel to react to dhmis. Everyone else that I've seen has either missed like half of the jokes or just don't find it that funny. You bring so much of perfect energy for stuff like this man you rock lol
Lilly and Todney are my favorite mentors lol
They are just so CREEPY
Agreed! They are one of the scariest puppets I have ever seen
That’s what you call the Uncanny Valley effect.
Humans have a basis in reality, while toys and puppets have a basis in whimsy and imagination. The more you make something from one side look like the other, the more of an unsettling _clash_ you get from aspects of each basis.
I think that the father has to hide the fact that he wants to help his son because I think Roy is being watched by someone who has more power than him.
37:53 That is... actually an incredibly good interpretation of the episode as a whole.
Duck sounds different because he's not autotuned in this series (except the last episode). He was autotuned in all the episodes of the webseries.
I like to believe these two weren’t supposed to be teachers. They literally just broke in.
i love how he laughs like a milisecond and then he get serious instantly
That opening was magical💕
The Grolton’s Family Discount: Officially approved by all creepy puppet twins and decaying grandmas in your area! (Some ceiling hole repair may be necessary, but its totally worth it)
Duck was kicked by admin
Naaaah, Lil bro gon missing💀
The Little Boy in the Family is Actually the Dad, and if you hear him and The Girl talk, you'd hear he has a Deep Voice and The Sister calling them 'Father' or Dad..
Yellow guy says himself, (quite hilariously I may add) FATHER? THAT ONES THE DAD?!
19:42 Hobo Ryan on that friendly fire grind 💀💀
Yes, Roy apparently ate the whole family at the end.
Your editing has evolved significantly. Keep up the good work Ryan.
Ahhhh, I just squealed when I saw the thumbnail and realized you finally saw this episode! It's the creepiest and funniest and most quotable to me! I love watching other people's reactions to "Family" and your reactions are always so insightful and hysterical! I'm stoked!
Intro lmao🤣🤣
I think this Duck is Stain Edwards the forever boy
I don’t think it matters
@@twistedcoasters1533 it mattered to original duck
It is very much implied that Roy ate the family.
"When you meet a business man"- The briefcase from the first episode.
"When you meet a family man" - The family from episode 3
Duck sounds different because it's not duck. He's replaced by Stain the forever boy.
That's why his mannerisms are different. Example he says fly instead of pesky bee now.
but he's not autotuned in the first episode (before Stain) either, is he?
Actually, Duck killed Stained. Duck doesn’t have any organs, and you can see the maggots on his legs in the last episode. The mannerism could be because of the episodic nature of this world
this was the episode that downright terrified me
10:48 congrats on coming out it takes a lot of courage.
honestly, this dhmis reaction series is the first video ive seen from you, and i noticed a MASSIVE quality improvement from when you watched the original dhmis to now, i guess its because of the 6 year difference, but these reactions are really good, so youve earned a subscriber!!
12:35 FAUL-BCH-D-T
I really like that the final episode does prove that the TV show is connected with the web-series, just not in the way that I could have ever guessed!
0:36 the bucket, has moved position!
I hope you like eagles, because you'll be meeting one pretty soon
31:57 why does yellow guy saying dad sounds so cute?
The name Todney and just the way Lily says it makes my skin crawl.
That intro was great. Next episode is my favorite of the 6.
Same!!
Same here.
Thanks bud! I really enjoyed the next one to.
You my be happy to know that they are confirmed to be green lit for another season.
thanks for nonchalantly telling me to turn the volume down (I was looking at the comments during the intro)
In the last episode you talked about how it reminded you of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, but funnily enough it's this episode that reminds me of Always Sunny. It reminds me of when they went to the McPoyle house.
Yes Roy did kill the family.
Also Will you be reacting to the theory video after the series?
The intro was just screaming LOOOOORE
intense intro, love it lmao
8:00
"did you know that there's a 20% chance that he is looking through YOUR window right now?"
Me, who lives on the second floor:
"he...hE WHAT?!"
I'm not in the second floor, but my window is higher up that he is. If he can look through there, kudos. XD
duck's song in this episode reminds me of boober's song in the fraggle rock episode boober rock
How have I just now discovered you
First off, It was a huge surprise to see you reading my comment! Thank you. I didn't really think about it being necessary. I touched on it in the comment but never thought how the og series would seriously fail on Tv. You talked about the constant action and surprises of the series. While I would love skit based things of the characters (like them without the teachers, though I love the teachers too), I understand how integral the teachers are to the feel of dhmis. The teachers give the characters something to do and they make the plot move forward. Without them, the characters can just get into Seinfeld situations where they bicker about basically nothing, even if "'llamas with hats' but made by dhmis" would be something I'd watch, it's not what true dhmis without the "idiot teacher teaching idiots" foundation.
Thanks again ryan! And if ya liked that comment... just you wait till I talk about ep 4! Wait- no not you, you green duck monster! You killed Fredrick with the toaster! AAAHHHH-
got my subscription within the first minute. that's a record
It's a family pack!
FOR A FAMILY
I love this series so much, and I'm glad you got around to watching it!
This channel is horrendously underrated.
But I do have a video to recommend, if you haven't seen it.
It's a five-minute long animation titled " Who's Hungry? " By David Ochs.
Really creepy and entertaining and I think you would just love it!
I feel like this guy voices the reactions we all have in our heads lmao
matter the fact I see that before.. that is scared as hell be seriously I don't want them into my house they remind me of possession doll. Are words at the end of a cell even more scary and dark family for the true color themselves
The dinner scene reminds me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Which, at its core, is also a movie about family.
And apparently the meat industry?
The cuddle dollops technically advertise accurately because on the packet it shows only two chuddies
Good point. XD
These episodes just keep getting better and better, I swear these videos are being a lot of fun! I'm also someone who is skeptical to say there isn't any correlation with the old series, but something that I did seem to notice is that like the old series they seem to follow a continuity but also they are very episodic. Almost like the characters don't acknowledge or have memories of the previous encounters. I think you might be right that they're not only dying but being replaced for new ones.
11:29 I died laughing.
34:55 ryan turns into markiplier
I’m so looking forward to hearing your take on episode 4! It’s a relatively live it or hate it one- personally I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for that intro.
Btw that song at the end of episode 2 is the one Duck made himself. On the computer. He was playing it for the Coffin guy while he was dead.
I just wanted to say that I love your reactions 😊 These have been my favorite reaction videos to this series and I've seen a bunch lol. I like your creative intros as well. I hope you get more subs because you definitely deserve it. Keep up the good work 👍😁
Bet you were really missing the mild discomfort from the coffin's eyes this time around, weren't you?
10:03 don't put him in the dumpster.
10:08 aw man
10:26 laughs cutely
10:33 screams
12:49 they're not even red. *British talk*
32:24 what did he say?
I mean that's how I usually get my discounts....not sure about anyone else lol
Got 2 people just in case I need a deal. Thanks Dont hug me im scared!
I paused at the first frame of the doll appearing in the house and I literally choked on my milk
Lovely thumbnail for the episode. 😆
The original idea for the UFO Ryan sounds really cool, but I can imagine it was definitely a nightmare to try and make. Gotta admit, the idea for the alien jumping out and cheering does sound really cute. I'm really glad I could give you a laugh!
As for the episode, this has to be my favorite one out the bunch for the horror elements while still being funny and thought provoking! The message I got out of it was that family can take any shape, and trying to force the shape you want can lead to ruin.
What do you mean about UFO
you're gonna cough your guts out, sir
Hey, just here to say the missing image on the milk carton is a reference to the missing poster in the beginning of episode 3 of the yotube series
The underrated level of this channel should be illegal
Intro caught me off guard, that was fucking hilarious 😭
You were talking about them being on the milk carton but do you remember the missing poster in the love episode
when ryan said he just finished hunter x hunter and ant give him flashbacks,it just reminds me thats what all of 2022 has been for me XD slowly inching my way thru the chimera ant arc and not having nightmares lol
Here's a recommendation: Murder Drones, a comedy horror developed by Liam Vickers (the creator of Cliffside and Internecion Cube), and animated by Glitch (the guys who made Meta Runner, Sunset Paradise, and Mario Gets His Pingas Stuck in the Door). It has two episodes already and is scheduled for more every two to three months.
My theory Clay Hill is where the original series (and the lost episode) take place.
But at the end something happened and the town Clay Hill and all its inhabitants went missing. We only see what happened to these 3 and their house (kind of)
Does anyone know where Hobo Ryan has gone? He spoke so highly of this show and I haven’t seen a video upload from him in over a month! I guess he could just be on vacation, but I don’t follow him elsewhere, does anyone else know?
Yeah I don’t either. This is the second time he’s took an month off
oop-
By the way Ryan you forgot to put these in a playlist
I'm sure the milk is from the RUclips shorts too. I can't remember.
Just watched your reactions of this series and I’m here to stay 😂 Love edits 😊
Why was the beginning so well acted what the fuck
That intro had me dead
I'm so glad you made the comparison to Resident Evil 7 as well.
idk if someone else has commented abt this but theres also a missing poster in the cult episode and the time episode (very beginning of the cult ep and during the victorian times part of the time ep) so they were missing even before the finale of the yt series
This episode is definetly one of the most sinister looking, but for my money, the last episode seems the creepiest to me. That and the opening bit of Episode 5.
Episode 4 is good, but you need to ready your eyes for some trippy visuals... Actually, you've seen MLP, you're prolly good ;)
duck be peaking in this series.
You feeling any better ryan? I've been concerned about you
wait, why?
Because he got really sick after his vacation
@@AbrasiousProductions ohh i see! in that case, i also really hope he feels better soon :0
Thanks bud. Finally feeling much better. Still got a little cough but all good
0:13 well now there's two of us there's two of us just two of us us to
Rip the family deserved
LOVED YOUR LAUGH LOLLL
32:00 daddy is here.
You thought this episode was bad, next one's gonna be a trip. 😆
THE NAMES IS RED,DAVID AND DUCK
I wish you had 1 million subs Ryan.
Omg your hair n beard are majestic...i love it! Im subbing lol also cause i enjoy DHMIS reactions
Keep in mind the tiny little family member is the dad
Is red ok??? That part in the ep family always scares me 😰
