Great review. I just started using a cheap v cutter and love the draw with the v cut. I've watched a couple reviews but have been wanting to see a closer look at the depth and function and you've done an excellent job showing that. Will definitely be ordering one of these.

The button holds in place . Stand on it's side it's a perfect cigar holder.

The main reason I want this is to loosen tight draws. How would you say it performs in that respect? As opposed to a straight cut. Thanks!

It certainly can help because I believe the overall surface area exposed is bigger with this cutter, but if you have issues with a tight draw check out my video on the perfecdraw! It will pay for itself quickly if you smoke cigars semi-regularly :)

Good review. How long have you had it and how many cigars(approximately) have you cut?

Thanks for the kind words and for watching. I've been using this in my rotation about a year now and would say between myself and buddies using it, it's probably cut around 50 cigars so far and still sharp as ever!

Who reviews a cigar cutter without actually cutting a cigar? You could call it a unboxing except you didn’t unbox it either.

I was thinking the same thing. It reminds me of watching a cooking video for 1/2 hour, and they don't taste the food at the end.. haha Other than that, I did enjoy and learn what I wanted to know about this cutter. So a big thumbs up on your video..! :)

I do agree it had good information i liked the video but i also wanted to see a cut on a cigar too but there are other reviews that show that so not a problem

Fair point everyone, sorry I didn't put the "money shot" in the video but I have heard your feedback and will try and include shots of using the cutter in any future cutter reviews. :)

What’s the difference between this one and the Xikar one?

      Weight. Colibri is heavier.

I wonder how good the cutters will perform in longevity

I wonder too, but so far so good still!

Mine is still sharp after cutting a couple of hundred cigars although it seems to be jamming up with tiny bits of leaf so getting quite difficult to open. Has anyone taken one apart to clean and reassemble? I have found a suitable small TORX screwdriver in a MacBook tool kit but it looks like you need to use two at the same time to undo each screw :-(

Good review. Picking this and the colibri slide lighter up tomorrow in the rose gold colorway. As for your one complaint...couldn't you turn the cutter on its side and rest your cigar in between the curve?

Boo, I wanted to see you cut a cigar with it.
