I like to imagine that after death, you relive your entire life again, but when you get Deja Vu from a dream about the future, that’s your mind trying to remember or tell you that you’ve already lived this life once or multiple times before. (this is separate but still in the same concept) each time you do relive your life you don’t do the same exact things (butterfly effect or like a canon event), so when you do catch yourself doing something that was in a dream in that same situation, you don’t remember what to do next, which is why that moment in that dream of the future is only for like 3 seconds max (atleast for me). Hopefully one day when I do dream of the future, when that same situation occurs I actually remember about it before hand just based off the environment and not the situation itself so that I can know what to do next before that situation happens

This song feels like finally accepting the past for what it was and opening up to the endless possibilities of the future. Personally I went through a break up with my partner of five years, whom I thought I would spend the rest of my days with, she decided it was best for us to break up and I was devastated, for almost 7 months afterwards, we’re not on bad terms, we aren’t playing with each other’s feelings either. For a moment in time I thought I would never feel so happiness as I do right now, listening to this song, accepting it all and no longer blaming myself or the world for the pain I felt. I had moved on, and then I got invited to a wedding and was able to witness love secondhand in all its splendor, and it was beautiful. Then that same night I met a girl, I asked her to dance and she accepted, nothing serious has happened but as I sit here on my balcony at nighttime, I realized that I am happy and content and worthy of feeling alive, worthy of feeling love. It wasnt til about 7 months after we split that I realized it was probably never gonna work out between us, even if we did love each other. As cliche as it sounds, time really was the best teacher, one day I woke up and went through my whole day without thinking about it all, and it was nice, then some time later, I saw she posted a picture with her and some other guy wearing matching shoes, and I actually didn’t care, I was just like “hell yeah” and accepted it, after that I found myself happy and content, no longer in pain, and it was around that same time I asked this other girl to dance with me, and I wasn’t comparing her to my ex at all, and I’d put down my walls I set it up. After I had stopped feeling sorry for myself and thinking I could never achieve the same type of happiness I had when I with her, I opened myself up to the world and the world opened itself up to me and I realized I can be happy and that I’m worthy of experiencing love again.
