- On November 26th 2021, the newest addition to the HYPOCRISY catalog, WORSHIP, was released via Nuclear Blast Records.
That evening, the band presented their fans with a special listening session that featured a video of vinyl being sent up to space.
The journey was completed on a bespoke launch vehicle that carried and supported the record through the atmosphere. The craft was lifted by a large hydrogen-filled balloon reaching a maximum altitude of over 120,000 feet//36.57 km above the Earth. It fell back down to Earth reaching speeds over 200mph until it re-entered the troposphere (where we all live) where the onboard parachute slowed the craft to a gentle walking pace by the time it touched down.

I actually met Peter on more than one time, even partied with him after a tour gig in Umeå Sweden and he is such a humble fun easy going person! Like easily thinking he's a friend who lives close by I met and enjoy his company without him needing to do more than just joining a party! *Thumbs up for his work*

It's nice to hear a deathmetal album that's not embracing evil but instead is warning us. Most of the metal heads I know keep up with the occult happenings of the world. I fell down the rabbit hole 10+ years ago. Ignorance is blissful, but I'd rather be painfully awake. Great album here & awesome promo.
I find that the most conscious metal heads deal with evil and the dark areas of life with more dignity than the common person. However many are actually locked up in quite a small world of angry music and a few friends seemingly indifferent to the corruption and abuse of power and violence that some people exercise over other and over nature and the planet itself. For me anger, hatred and pain are more like a reason to try to avoid and reduce harm in the world. I am not cynical about human nature, I know for sure we have all potentials within us. And there is no reason to attach to "evil culture” like teenagers but rather find strength and empowerment to be a better person. I’m not a Christian metal head by the way, just speaking of my own experience with metal music and how it fits in to a bigger picture for me. Long live the metal humanists !

a mid 40 year old friend of mine said when he was 25 years old (my age) he went into a cd store and bought every single cd album that had a nice or edgy album cover and that is how he got into all the metal genres. I'm already into metal but I did the same on Google images. looked up metal cd album covers. saw the cd cover and decided to listen to it. and it was soo worth it. I even bought their CD. can't wait to have it :)

This album is an excellent example of melodic death metal. Some acoustic melodies, harmonizing guitar work, deep gutteral yet coherent growls, dark creepy mood/theme, brutal drum work. \m/

А самое главное... Я снова слышу это шведсвкое звучание, которое заходило нам подросткам лет 25-30 назад с релизов Dark Tranquility, раннего In Flames, Unlished. ...его уже ни у кого не осталось. Разве что у рыжиков At The Gates на крайнем альбоме. Но тут именно эволюция шведской школы сквозь десятилетия.

I love this production! The guitars are super crisp and articulate. Resonating well together in harmonies and in crunch.. Great job on the new album.. Just found this band a few weeks ago, they're quickly rising up the ranks in my pantheon of excellent bands. Approaching top 10 territory. That being said, every album is excellent and this Is no exception, If they come to Maryland I'm going!
Same for me. Saw them live for 2 months. Never listen to much of them before. But since this live gig, they reach shortly after also my top10 fav band list. They are awesome!
i listened to them back in 2005 when virus came out. and a few years after. then stopped for awhile now theyre back on my radar

@@nilsingvar7319 it's the people who aligned with the idea that death metal should be home produced instead of produced by a big label where the label has control over the artist, and should thus sound like total crap as it did in the 90ies... they missed the fact that today's "home produced" can sound better than 1990ies big studio production lol. Basically it's the people who don't accept that today, if you have worse sound than your little sister's cat video, that makes a "putz", not "a rebel sided with Satan himself".
