An die Studenten der Kunsthochschule für Medien und des Instituts für Musik und Medien Düsseldorf, die das Konzert aufgezeichnet haben: VERY GOOD JOB LADIES & GENTLEMEN! Complimenti!
Missed this tour with a freshly broken clavicle. Luckily a good buddy was able to enjoy the psychic pugilism for both of us. This is a fantastic presentation - although there is no translation for the live experience of SWANS, and their ability to take sound levels and groove to the level of Elemental Force. The shows are not to be entered into lightly, but they are not to be missed if you have the courage to run their gauntlet. You will leave the show a changed individual. It's worth noting that if you leave your ear plugs at home, you'll probably leave a good chunk of your hearing at the venue, too! ;)
I saw them to years ago. Never thought they'd come to my country but they did. It was really something else. So raw, so visceral. One of the greatest musical experiences of my life. A night to remember forever.
"Psychic pugilism", I love that. Perfectly describes facing Swans. Trial by fire, with the reward being ecstasy. Seen them twice live, back in 2017 and last year. Wish I could see them dozens of times.
The Knot is sublime, so glad I caught them live in 2017 just as Deliquescence was released. A mind-expanding experience, bordering on spiritual. They played for nearly 2 and a half hours, 2.5 hours of sonic brutality.
a music orgasm... and such great video/sound... one of the best Swans live videos... awesome performance... one of the bands that get better when older... pure pleasure... many thx @ KHM and the people who invited them! respect
This is more than music. At least that's how i feel about the Swans. I love to get lost in those soundscapes. Irgendwie freue ich mich für jeden, der das live erleben durfte, bin gleichzeitig aber echt neidisch, auf jeden der da war.🥰
Organic, genuine sound. Swans, the only band still trying to cross to the other side through a massive repetitive monolithic sound wall, an endless effort.
I saw SWANS in 2016 and it was incredible. Although I was a little disappointed at first cause Thor Harris was no longer a member. But believe me Paul Wallfish is a great musican as you can see on this video! And so are the whole band members.
A band that after a hiatus of more than 10 years, returns to the active, and creates one of the best journeys of the present music! Legendary! Killer band, I never saw anything like it
If only his voice was better. He can't hold a single note.. Sometimes his voice is fitting, but most of the time it is like a torpedo, sinking what is otherwise very interesting music.
swans is one of those bands... their albums are fucking amazing, but when they're live, it's just michael gira dragging his ballsack on a spiked slider. horrible live performances

is there a place where i can buy or listen to: The Man Who Refused To Be Unhappy?
@@jimmyiscool1239 They never recorded it in the studio but it's part of their live album Deliquescence which I highly recommend!
@@jimmyiscool1239 only on Deliquescence, which is a cd exclusive live album, only 3,000 copies were made so it's pretty expensive
The section with the organ in The Knot is one of the best things this band has done. So powerful
Too bad the band didn't record that awesome song in studio....
@@fluide000 There is a live album of the tour, Deliquescence, with a nice version of the Knot in it
Completely mind blowing

I get the feeling when I saw them in 2017, they played Deliquescence ... but I rarely see the song included in the setlist in 2017.

Epic so Massiv brutal and painful excess. Love some people are in touch with basic good time for listening 🎧
So pure and immediate and expansive and collaborative and immersive. It swallows you whole.
ten piekny wokal GIRY .WSPANIALY KONCERT

like 70s krautrock in parts....but much more epic!

I saw them the first time live in 1995 and was deaf for a week ...
amazing.....PHENOMENAL!!!!!
When 'No Wave' goes Prog Rock...😂
Last saw them at Volksbühne in Berlin 2015. Very memorable gig.
Goddamn this is a great band. Thank you for uploading.

Best music ever
love love love... thx to se schwäne und se Khm und Moers... Ich liebe euch...
Original interpretation of original swans compositions
this is why youtube exists.
Extraordinaire!
Schwer , .....aber interessant und gut
Es wird viel leichter bekommen, after 1000x times listening
full of distinct sound i could not distinguish live^^, thanks a lot for this great video
Excellent video. I saw them a few days ago, and it brings it right back.
This is aural blood magic.
Saw them this week in Lisbon and they started the same way, I believe the setlist wasn't that different
Jako dobro, dapače izvrsno.
Лучшая некоммерческая Музыка!

🙂.
fukkkkking ejjjjj!!!!!!!!!! shit was ......awesome
the colour witjin is illiminatie
Awesome! Got any more videos from this show?
desdest atmosphere at a concert ive ever seen
Idk, I feel swans music is too spiritual to mosh to. If I danced at a swans concert I'd feel like I was missing out on the music
Michael Gira will hurt you if you move too much
🧷
Killer performance but whoever mixed this sounds like they used to work for moshcams
41:50 John Lord's organ
If only his voice was better. He can't hold a single note.. Sometimes his voice is fitting, but most of the time it is like a torpedo, sinking what is otherwise very interesting music.
Gira looks and sounds as though he doesn’t want to be there
Dominating
radiohead are heavier than swans
name one swans song less heavy than the heaviest radiohead song
huge rh fan but come on...
@@lightbreathermusic it seems I was having a nervous breakdown that day and therefore hold my hands up to my shortcomings
@@suncity22001 all good, both are amazing bands tho
No one loves a crescendo more than myself.. I have tried with Swans, but this is just monotonous crescendoing of the highest order.
shut the fuck up and let us bathe in the extacy
No camera, or RUclips video, can capture the sheer physicality of a Swans crescendo live.
