    When it comes to banking, the very strict procedure we demand is confidentiality. Our financial details are computerised and as such we are covered by data protection law. Dame Alison should not even have said that Mr Farage had an account with them. This applies to every customer, not just Mr Farage.

    I'm in. I had the same issue with HSBC de banking my business account 4 yrs ago. The reason they gave was "because we can". But of course, I'm a small business owner and, therefore, a 'nobody'. I feel the banks have messed with the wrong person now and it's blown up in their faces. Thank you for bringing this to the public's attention.

    Nigel, you are correct! Absolute power corrupts! I’ve been in banking over 40 years in the United States. Worked for Nat West, ABN-AMRO and Citibank. The absolute corruption I’ve witnessed by the ( higher ups) was staggering. There definitely should be more laws put in place while also auditing the upper echelon on a monthly basis.

    The banks have acted as ugly bullies and even caused major customer stress and even mental breakdowns.

    So very right Nigel. When was the last time the regulators charged or fined the big banks for anything? Also are fines from the regulators just considered to be inconsequential operating costs?

      In actuality NO Business, even banks, pay fines, taxes. Every fine or tax is simply passed on to the end consumer with of course the addition of some % of margin to increase profits. It is all part of doing business. Wages, utilities, rent, taxes, insurance...blah blah, you name it all gets transferred to the customer.

    Having banked with Nat West for 50 years I am angry. If the CEO can give away personal,private info what message does that send to the rest of the employees? .

    Should she have been let go? Absolutely! I worked in corporate America for 30 years. As a leader, if I’d made such a grievous error in judgment as well as breaching someone’s privacy, I would’ve been let go long before this. Leading by example…it goes both ways.

      No no we need President Trump in America and Sir Nigel Farage in the UK that would not only shake those two countries up but the whole world . Get rid of the wef, un , EU and any other such organisations . Get rid of digital currency and every other digital thing , keep cash , open up the oil fields and steel works make everything ourselves be self sufficient in energy and food which is absolutely obvious to most folk apart from Westminster. Vote for change and reform. We want Sir Nigel Farage as PM, the only other truthful mp is Andrew Bridgen. There are about 5 others and that's it out of around 650 and while we are at it get rid of the lords in it's present state . BBC will be long gone by this time .

    Well done Mr. Nigel Farage. I am amazed at your strength and tenacity. Many have suffered this appalling treatment by the banks and have not had the ability to fight back. Hopefully this disgraceful situation will be reversed. Banks and corporations should not be pushing a political line. ESG, DEI, B Corp, Pride, Common Purpose etc. are the way they are doing it. These left wing networks need to be disbanded for the good of the community.
