As a watcher of thousands of diorama videos I want to tell you that yours are extremely enjoyable. Right on the top shelf. You just do it so nicely. Your really nice background music is well selected and never overdone. It's not too loud as it is with others. Your conversational commentary is down to Earth, informative and honest. I just can't stand so many of these guys who are so full of themselves and try to be commedians. Don't you ever change! You do it perfect. I love watching you build and learn from your own mistakes just as I do. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy your videos. Please keep them going and I especially hope you do more with a science fiction theme. I can imagine you building some sort of lander on another planet creating an alien terrain with craters or strange looking trees and plants. I would love to see you do this. Best wishes and thank you for these wonderful videos. Never stop.
Truly humbled by your comment. You seem to have understood what I was trying to do. Just make the type of video that I also would like to watch. I am far from a pro and do this very much as a hobby but thoroughly enjoy it. Thanks for taking the time to watch and welcome aboard. And lastly, sure - many more Sci-Fi builds on the way. ✌️🖖🙏
Your dioramas tell a better story than any movie storyboard. It would be cool if the director of a movie would order certain dioramas made from their movie. So, when they pitch or present their movie ideas. Their ideas come to life, instead of a drawing. Keep up the good work, you are a master of your craft.
As a kid I had a family friend who made elaborate dioramas and scenes and I was never allowed in his workspace when he was working (health reasons etc) so it always felt like he was doing some black magic alchemy I wasnt allowed to witness. NOW- Now I get to watch videos like this and it is both soothing and feels almost naughty to get to see the process. Like knowing how a magic trick works or what happens in Bohemian Grove. Thank you
Love it... Just amazing... Very nice with all the things found around to make this... Very nice...So surreal... and also, I do think Aliens are nice, just, with what is going on here, they must say, ''Oh I think we'll watch from here''!!... I do know we are not alone, just at the start of your video, I saw this when went back to Gaspé coast, to see a friend, and saw this in movies, not in real-time, and saw, that's our galaxy... wow... planes do not zig-zag... so...One must have been showing how to drive the ship....loll... Again, thank you for the great artwork and video and for sharing...!!
Great dio! I think the post war figures are the right choice. This has got a real fifties vibe to it, with the classic UFO, big eyed alien and very naive people ;)
Haha thanks. Yeah I even thought about putting in an old tractor but bought the wrong scale and it's huge. Rookie mistake but lesson learned. I'm gonna do a modern version taking into account more recent ufo/uap sightings.
You know what would be a cool feature you could maybe add, is living plants. So when somebody buys the diorama they also have a sort of Bonsai forest or maybe add features that can turn on or off like a waterfall or a UFO that spins and lights up and makes noise? Might need a friend for certain things but that would be really cool Just throwing out a few thoughts.
Haha I love that. I don't actually make them to sell them. I have several full time jobs and do this just for the fun of building. I might sell some to create a bit of space but it is in no way my job. Great ideas though. I really like the thought of creating some movement or lighting effects.
I am absolutely fascinated by this subject. Never had any experiences myself but I truly believe the is no way the universe is not full of life. In fact, I think our solar system is probably full of life. Time is so relative and our blip of existence as humans is nothing when compared to the time of the universe. We are barely scratching the surface. And know so little. 🖖✌️
Amazing detail, really enjoyed watching your video. It has encouraged me to try building one myself. The joy seems to be in the discovery and I picked up on your underlying theme " less is more ". Like all great artists, knowing when to stop is key. Thanks for the great tips. 👍👍👍

Makes me want to Add Something Like this to my own Diorama, Not meaning the space ship, The Plants!! THIS IS GREAT!!
Hey Tom, thank you for your glowing comment. Even though as a grown man I have more disposable income still very much have the mind set of, I'll try to find it cheap or build my own and while that sometimes works, more often than not you get what you pay for. Good luck with your projects and would love to see when your done!! 👍
Cheers. Kind of you to say. I did play around with the idea of some kind of plastic cone as a beam of light but all the examples I have seen look a bit obvious. But happy with what I came up with. The blue/white looks great in real life and even better on camera.
Welcome along. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. I try to make videos that are informative and the kind of thing I like to watch while I build. I'm always happy to answer questions and lots more builds on the way

This is incredible. I’m now bingeing on all of your videos. The first one I saw was your island plane survivor, this is only the 2nd one I have watched but after subscribing, I’m on to the next and I can’t wait. I would love to have a go at something like this but I don’t know where to start or even what to build and then there is how big? So many questions but hey I will probably learn a lot more and maybe my questions will be answered along the way. Well kettle has boiled so I’m going to make a brew and on to number 3. Thank you x
Bro! You do great dioramas, that’s a given. But your attention to the small details such as varying you grass colors and soil levels is what is exciting to see! The added plants around the fence and the different types of dirt were great choices. The entire scene was spooky yet fun. I love to get these alerts that you have a new video because it also lets me see your older ones and pick more stuff up. I was trying to fit 1000 things in each diorama, but the less is more approach allows you to concentrate on the details. Great stuff. Thank you for sharing. I’d like to see how you painted you figures if you get a chance to do a video on that. Take care.
I completely hear you Ken! A big part of it and something I'm still learning very much myself, is how to 'tell the story' through being efficient with the information. Can a brick wall with a part of a roof - describe the whole house? The truth is you can never include all your ideas but just an excuse to build more haha. Most importantly you have the ideas!! From those you can make anything
Thank you Keith 👍 really appreciate your comment. Story telling was definitely part of the focus for this one and something I will really look to incorporate into my work more in the future. 🖖✌️👍
I finally found out that this hobby is called diorama. I’m into Art Bell, ufo’s and I really want to get out of the party scene and just pick up in this hobby.
Really fantastic diorama. Congratulations on the idea and its implementation. It is always a pleasure to attend these master classes. We wait for the next video. 👍😉
So incredible! I love your videos and the calm, informative narration. The one thing I might do differently, is to distress the crops a bit... I love the attention of distressing the fence and adding bushes and layering the grass, so by contrast the uniform plastic of the crops stand out... Maybe some browning, or maybe a few plants missing?
Thank you Dotty. I really appreciate your kind words. I completely understand your ideas about the crops. I guess I wanted to really create a distinct contrast between what is 'wild' and the mechanical repetitive nature of farming. Creative choices haha. Either way thank you for taking the time to comment and watch. More to come 👍🖖✌️
@@creativecuts7803 oh I see! That makes a lot of sense and I can see that now. It's so fascinating (although through different mediums, I create a lot of art too) what people read in a creative piece and how much of the maker's original meaning is picked up (or not) and what people pick up on that was never there in the maker's mind. Thank you so much for sharing your work and your process.
Hoi hoi! Another amazing video! I love the classic sourcer shape. All of your builds are great but I do love this one. I only collect 1/18 scale but I’m definitely going to look for something to make a sourcer myself as you’ve inspired me to do this
Yeah changing scale can be a bit of a challenge. I usually work in 32mm or about 1/48 I think it converts to. What works in one scale looks weird in another but all part of the fun right?
My newly optimistic(?) view, based on observation of recent events, is that any species that survives long enough and does enough science to contact what are for it aliens, must be pretty friendly, cautious and cooperative. More so than us, certainly. Is it ok if the bare wire armature was my favourite alien? The others looked much too human for my taste, what with having eyes on the top lump and everything ;). The contrast between the somewhat trampled looking grass and the obsessively regular cabbages(?) is very nice. Finally, it occurs to me that (with colour-changing LEDs) you could make something like this that is both a diorama and a desk lamp. It wouldn't survive the clutter on my own desk, but for someone who is irritatingly neat yet still wants a nicknack…?
I also hope that any species that can figure out intergalactic space travel will have also realised that it is beneficial to work together. Easier all round. Thanks for taking the time. Really appreciated 🙏 ✌️🖖
Thanks. I saw your work and decided to try my hand. So at 67 years old, I built a guillotine from scratch for a whimsical diorama I have in mind. Note: I tried the activator and is tripped my asthma. Made me sick. I found out that stuff is very toxic. Be safe.
Wow, the last thing I wanted to cause was an asthma attack. On a more positive note, your guillotine idea sounds fantastic. Would love to see it when finished. Good luck 👍

How did you mount the ufo
On a black rod of metal. A small hole in the back of the ufo means I van slide it on but also remove it when in storage.
