Another amazing video Austin! Thank you for sharing this valuable knowledge! Cheers
Thanks for the kind words! - Austin
great tip on bidding for clicks instead of straight into conversions, definitely something other channels would never tell you!
Thank you, Austin, for the fantastic explanation of Google search campaigns! I appreciate your insights.( 18:11) Regarding brand restrictions, my understanding is that they actually limit ads to show only on queries related to specific brands, rather than excluding brand terms. Your content is always informative and helpful. Keep up the great work!
You are 100% correct - good catch and my mistake. Thanks for pointing this out in a kind way!
I have purchased more than four Google Ads courses, but I never learned this information. I really appreciate your kind mind because you are doing a great job, my brother. I am learning everything very clearly. Love you a lot.❤❤

Thank you so much for this video, much needed! My only critique is that the screenshare part was rather blurry. I thought it was my phone, but the circle with your face is clear, so it may be the video?? Just wanted to mention it. ☺️ Other than that, wonderful, wonderful stuff! Thanks again!
Hmmm it appears fine for me. Will have to look into this further - thanks for letting me know!
Do you have a video on how to switch from a max clicks to Target CPA bidding strategy?
you along with the dudes at solutions8 are the absolute goats at teaching this stuff
Kasim and John are both great. Lots of respect for those guys.
Thanks for such a great video. Very good explanation.
Can you please tell if we can turn off bidding on Desktop and Tablet for PMAX campaigns?
Unfortunately, not possible with PMax - Greedy Google.
Thank you
You're welcome
thank you
You're welcome
great video
Thanks!
Great video, how many keywords do you recommend within the ad?
Depends on budget but generally less is more in the beginning.
Hi! Thanks for the video, it was super helpful :) I followed your tutorial to focus on 'clicks' and 'selected max cpc bid' when i created my ad 2 weeks ago, but recently google has been recommending me to switch bid strategy and im not sure what to do. Could i ask how to know the right time to switch over to smart bidding?
Need some conversion volume first before you switch to smart bidding. If you have the volume (20-30+ per month) then you can start testing.
Check out this video I did on bidding: ruclips.net/video/IKLR3z0dtgs/видео.html
@@growmyads oh i see! thank you so much ☺
Thanks Austin. Curious why you shy away from competitor keywords in early days of a campaign.
Usually low converting
Excellent video! Regarding historical data of an account, I run a seasonal business. Would you consider data from a year ago too old to use for Max conversion? I never got to 30 conversions in a month anyhow. What do you think 😅
I've actually never tested this since I've never had a client account who only runs for a season and then shuts ads off - more than likely too old but depending on your risk tolerance I'd give it a test for a week or two and see if Google fires good traffic out of the gate.
@@growmyads thanks for getting back to me. Appreciate it
Hi. Great video. How can you find out the ideal cost to set as a max bid for Clicks or Conversions in max clicks or taret cpa bidding strategies?
For Max Clicks - you need to look at keyword data. If top of page bids are $20 for a keyword and bottom of page is $10. Then I would set my bid cap to around $12-$15. This allows me to be competitive but not bid too highly.
For tCPA - you have to look at what you are currently hitting. For example, if you are getting a $100 CPA on average over last 30 days and you are switching from Max Clicks to CPA bidding then you should set your CPA to $100 or close to $100 (maybe $90 if you want to be more aggressive).
Why? Because this is what the Machine Learning has been comfortably hitting so you aren't trying to push it too hard.
Then let it run for a week or two and if you are still getting good results and CPAs are still within the target range of $100 you can start slowly decreasing your CPA goal down if you need to get CPA lower.
@@growmyads Thanks a lot for the detailed response! I'll check out more videos from the channel they are a ton of help for someone just starting out with Google Ads.
Could you please create one video for a competitor analysis with out using paid tool
Check this video out I did: ruclips.net/video/eQRnw4XOSNM/видео.html
How much do you charge to set ads for a small web design agency?
Hello - At 27:42 you showed a spreadsheet entitled Responsive Search Ad Template 1. Is that something you would be willing to share?
What is that ad copy Google sheet you showed with the conditional formatting?
I believe I got this from Ed Leak's God Tier Ads: www.godtierads.com/
Hello thanks for the amazing video. I started my first Google Ads Campaign 2 weeks ago, and I chose "maximise conversions". As you explained in the video, this did not work very well. Since seeing your video i switched to manual CPC. However now im seeing the message "Limited by budget" but its not even spending my daily budget. I am now doubting to lower or higher my manual cpc by 10%. Or is it better to switch to maximise clicks?
Give Max Clicks a shot with no bid cap and see if that ramps up for you.
@@growmyads thanks for the feedback! I am on a very tight budget tho. I have set my manual cpc to $1 at the moment, will it make a difference if I switch to maximise clicks now with a max bid of $1?
Other question: I sell furniture online and plan to promote 3 different product category to google search (mirrors, buffets and coat racks). Shall I promote them within the same campaign with 1 product category per ad group ? what would be the best structure?
If you have a smaller budget then you can start with one campaign and then put those categories in different ad groups. If you have a larger budget then just split them out since those are all different types of products or split them according to how you have your categories structured on your website navigation.
@@growmyads Amazing thank you. How many target keywords do you recommend per adgroup? (per product type)
I still have a question why you use different matchtypes of single keywords
I want to know the answer to this too!
EDIT: he answered it below in a different comment
From where we can copy link of our google guaranteed (LSA) account? Please guide
Hmm sorry not fully understanding the question. If this is in your Local Service Ads account then that would be separate from your Google Ads account.
I can't find the devices section on the additional settings. Can you give some instructions ?
If you are in the new interface it is under the section Where Ads Showed
Should i use manual cpc or conversions
Check out this video I did on bidding: ruclips.net/video/IKLR3z0dtgs/видео.html
Why did you put both phrase and exact match type of the same keyword? Using just the phrase match wouldn't it catch all the search terms that exact is going to catch?
Check out this video I did on match types: ruclips.net/video/pfB5ZdZKZzg/видео.html
Should help bring some clarity on how match types work now.
In short - exact will be tightest match type and I like seeing metrics on exact searches. Doesn't mean I'll keep the exact match keyword forever - only if it is profitable. Phrase will cast a wider net and in many cases behave close to how broad match behaved many years ago.
If I only started with phrase would it pick up some of the exact match searches? Yes, but I would not get the amount of traffic on that exact search term as I would when I ping to Google I have it added as exact and want to bid on the exact match of that search.
When starting a new campaign (depending on budget) a mix of exact and phrase is usually what I recommend and see best results with. If the budget is very small ($3k per month or under) then I typically will start with exact only until I get data coming in and build out from there.
Why is my search ad requiring me to use a tracking template???? Followed your video step by step and it won’t let me proceed???? HELP PLEASE
You might want to check with Google support. I've never had this issue.
Have you experienced people calling to get job from your search ads? If yes,, How do you limit these people looking for a carpet cleaning job? If no, what is your best practices? Tyia
It will happen, yes. No real way of avoiding it since most people job searching are searching for the same thing as someone looking to have their carpet cleaning done e.g. "carpet cleaning companies near me"
The best you can do is add negatives for any job related searches.
TY ! this is not exactly for beginners!
Thanks Bro. U R Awesome.
Appreciate the kind words!
Amazing video! Very helpful. Cheers
Glad it was helpful!
Why do you include the name of the city if you have targeted ads?
Are you talking about keywords?
@@growmyads I was wondering why its important to add the city to the keyword if the ad is targeted to certain areas and zip codes. Would google understand user intent when someone types in [flooring company near me] vs [flooring company in 'city'], vs [flooring contractor]? How important is it to add the city name and would it be cheaper to not have the city name in the keyword?
Why $50 per day if you set CPC at $10 and you need 10 clicks?
Yea good catch. I should have explained that better. I knew already going into this account that CPCs were more likely to be $5 based off previous experience. Bid cap was set higher since I wanted to open up the traffic in the beginning and see what true CPCs would be once I started running and then would adjust if needed. But yes, if CPCs are in fact going to cost you $10 then ideally you want to run $100 per day budget.
@@growmyads thanks for explaining that. Where can i get more information on what is it you do? I need to become expert on this and meta.
