Even in these rough recordings, Goran's voice stands out. Though I think Slaughter had some fine moments on the ASG album, Goran would have been fantastic. He could sing Robert's lines better than Mark could. And now I open the can of worms....you also have to remember that Goran had to sing to the sped up versions of the songs. If you listen to the original album (and these tracks), you'll find the guitars are tuned to F standard...or, more than likely, sped up from E standard to F. Which in itself is crazy. If Vinnie wanted to speed the songs up to make himself seems faster, why didn't he tune to Eb standard and speed up to E? No one would have known! The fact that none of the ex-members (who have no love for him and Dana being a very good producer) said they saw Vinnie speed the songs up, just adds to the mystery! That said, Goran singing at the higher tuning makes it even more impressive!
you really wrote such nonsense of a madman .... Vinnie never accelerated songs and track on the record .... you were brainwashed with fake information, go learn history ..
Like i said, a can of worms! LOL I hope he didn't speed them up. The guitar transcription book by Wolf Marshall says, "guitars sped up a half step". Whether Vinnie or the record company did or didn't, still doesn't negate the fact that if you want to play along with the album, you need to tune your guitar up half a step! If you own a guitar, try play along in standard tuning and you'll find you can't because you'll be a half step flat. Try playing the simple riff in Twisted. Bending the 4th fret Ab on the low E string with your pinky, then pulling off to the F when you can clearly tell that the F is an open string means that the guitars were tuned to F or, were sped up!
@@shramiac this is a ridiculous rumor about acceleration ... he never accelerated them ... I personally saw him at a party and we talked with him about this and the guitars were so tuned

The 1st album is ruined by the vocals and Vinnie overplaying at just about every opportunity. I wish he’d stayed in KISS. Lick it up is brilliant and they tempered his playing well.
you're talking nonsense....you obviously have crappy tastes
The first album was great, love the vocals, also Goran does kinda sound like Fleischman here.
I think Goran is better than Robert, however I think Mark did fit the second record well, no complaints on that one

You got to one of Vinnie's parties? That's great! Like I said, none of the ex-members said Vinnie sped it up. Tuning the guitar to F is still weird though and you can see why people are sceptical.
I still love those albums either way.
Vinnie never sped up any song or solo on the album. You can watch VVI live shows on youtube and he played that fast live.
He sounds like Mark Slaughter
Just a little bit. Not a lot
@Amber H I know makes no sense Slaughter was the better choice for the band even though I like Goran as well
Horror Metal Depot No Göran Edman would have got the band to the top instead of slaughter who just got in trouble with Vinnie cause he didn’t want Slaughter in the band
Roberts voice imo was more powerful and fit these songs better
Should of used this singer.... ! Mark slaughters voice us so annoying and just squealing noise... what a mistake... ! These demos sound better... than slaughter.!
That's right ... Vinnie really wanted Goran Edman to be the vocalist ... but the producers and the studio felt that Goran would cost them dearly. since he is from Sweden and there will be a lot of legal problems .... they took this 20-year-old mediocre Mark ... but they thought it would be cheaper this way ... a big mistake
I wish Edman got this gig , two great albums with yngwie came later ❤️
