back in the day like around 2000-2005 i think, i used to think the buicks around that time were extremly ugly, well not ugly, but more like...old people cars. but now i love the new luxurious showoff look they give off.
Just want to congratulate you on all of your recent success. Its great that you are able to preview new vehicles, such as the the Buick Regal. Keep up the good work. Hope that many doors continue to open for you.
I bought a Turbo carbon black with 6-speed manual and T07 package (loaded all options, if you didn't know what it meant) About 3 weeks in, have 3800 miles on it. Averaged 34.1 MPG on first trip doing constant 75mph, did return at 80mph and still managed 33.4 MPG. Drove every car that was available with manual tranny that could be had well equipped between $30-35K. Lagacy GT, Volvo C30, VW CC, Audi A4, and some others not many available. This was my favorite. Great car, don't ignore it.
Getting this car soon, well, the original one, Opel Insignia, with 2.0 liter diesel engine and 160 hp with 4x4. Its a great car, and not very expensive.
I just looked this up wondering how different the Buick version of the Vuaxhall/Opel Insignia is, it's so strange how much technology they strip out of the vehicle compared to the euro version, is it cost cutting to make it more affordable over there?
I think the coolest part about this car is the actual 3-Prong power outlet. And I'm glad that GM finally got the message that the interiors of their cars sucked; the recent interiors are GIANT improvements over interiors of GM cars 2007 and older.
Euro version is called Opel Insignia, UK 🇬🇧 call it the Vauxhall Insignia, you can tell they are inter regional as the only difference between the US / EU versions are badges, front grill / bumper, and rear turn signal bulbs. The rear light clusters are the same only the EU use Amber turn bulbs as opposed to the US’s usage of flashing red bulbs.
@furlano7 I agree, I am 18, and have owned a '97 LeSabre and loved it, I also own a '77 Buick LeSabre. Buick is by far my favorite brand of car. I would love to get a '87 GN, or Reatta or a late 90's Riviera. You can't beat a Buick. I would trade my VW Jetta for a Buick in a heartbeat.
With my 2011 Buick cxl turbo . My right headlight went out. Took it to Buick they charge 352$ 3 months later other went out. Buick stated it would be over $1300 so took it to side me business shop that charged 231$ but 28 days later had to take it back spending $260 more. 2 months later. It's fine with the lights . Now. My service transmission & engine light is coming on ! I'm ready to trade in . My car stylish but no thank u. Chevy maibu 2016 NEXT2😀
@d4rk0wn4g3 Actually I haven't. Revving the engine cause friction wear on the cylinder walls, piston rings, and pistons. It can make excess gas to go into the exhaust and ignite in your catalitic converter. It can also cause valve train and crank shaft damage. So in the end why even do it? My Source: My dad works along with the fellows at Mercedes AMG Stuttgart.
@Zinizzle Do you have a 3100 or 3400 engine in your car? Those engines were prone to head gasket failure but at a much higher mileage than 50k. You sure you didn't overheat your engine at anytime? That could cause premature failure of the head gasket.
i was choosing between buying this or the 2011 sonata. this had the ambient lighting going for it, and the sonata, well, the sonata had larger space, better exterior styling, more standard features, and cost less... the choice was clear. =P
you didnt do the rev with the door closed!!! but the test drive more then made up for that so its good on that video. and how tall are you cause you looked pretty cramped in the backseat which i hear is not really that small
@komit73 I see you havent driven a turbo engine yet. This car has 220 hp and 350 Nm or torque from 2000 rpm. It feels more powerful than it actually is, and offers better in-gear performance (overtaking for example) than V6 with more power. This car is actually faster than the 2.8 V6 with 260 horsepower, because of all that huge torque available from idle to almost redline. This car is very fast, but it needs a manual gearbox. GM automatic sucks. Opel is developing a double clutch gearbox now.
@jjunfer skoda is not available in the states i am afraid. The closest you can get to a skoda in the states are the VWs (most models share the same base) and some really rare self-imports (only old cars AFAIK)
@wasupchristo This has nothing to do with the Cruze, the Cruze is a Daewoo Lacetti Premiere, subcompact platform. The Regal is an Opel/Vauxhall Insignia which is a mid-size platform.
I hate the fact that a lot of newer GM cars have the lock on the dash. But that is one nice looking car. But its not like the Regal used to be RWD with a v8 :(
@Zinizzle I've had a fuse be blown. Alarm would not shut off until I disconnected the battery. I had the 2007 Buick Rendezvous. I can't say, maybe 30-40k miles. I switched to Ford. Same for Chevy, when the Impala came, ready with the check, they drove up the 'Impala', when ready to leave, they tried to cheat me and gave the the Malibu.
@ktonlai :P Rolls Royce is owned by BMW. Its technically a 7 series. Basically all super-luxurious companies are owned by germans. Bugatti, Lamborghini and Bentley are owned by VW, Rolls Royce by BMW, Maybach by Mercedes... So, they're all based on german cars (Vw pheaton, audi a8, bmw 7, mercedes s class) with different looks and a bit better (difference getting smaller every year) interiors. :P And, they are all european. :P Oh, and you're right about Astons.
@ktonlai But the thing is, when i say quality, I dont mean just reliability, because reliability of a car depends 99% on the owner of the car. What I'm talking about is the general quality of the car. They way its designed, materials used inside, they way its put together from soft materials, but still feels rock solid, they way it drives, feeling of luxury inside, quietness inside, refinement, smoothness. Sit inside new BMW 5 series, and then sit inside Buick Lacrosse. You'll see what i mean.
back in the day like around 2000-2005 i think, i used to think the buicks around that time were extremly ugly, well not ugly, but more like...old people cars. but now i love the new luxurious showoff look they give off.
Sorry to dissapoint you but its actually Opel Insignia, it's a german with buick name stamped on it.
That's in GERMANY!! In AMERICA, it's called a Buick Regal!!😂
mudza92 the other cars in Buick’s lineup at that time weren’t badge jobs
Just want to congratulate you on all of your recent success. Its great that you are able to preview new vehicles, such as the the Buick Regal. Keep up the good work. Hope that many doors continue to open for you.

Then you get a tune and a cold air intake and the turbo whine and noises are constantly noticeable. I love mine.
Right? Its wicked! And soooo much faster
Thanks for all the awesome videos. If I ever need to know anything about a car, I always come to your channel first!
In Europe it is caled Opel Insignia
In uk vauxhall insignia
@@chrissheridan8351 it's all the same company that's why

DUDE I NEED THAT OPEL INSIGNIA IT'S SOO COOL AND AWESOME :D
I am getting the GS for my Birthday !!!!! Can't wait until its finally out.
Darcel412 you got it?
how reliable is this car? is it cheap to maintain?
as long as you keep up with maintenance it will drive forever, only problem i've had was belt tensioner go out twice.
Getting this car soon, well, the original one, Opel Insignia, with 2.0 liter diesel engine and 160 hp with 4x4. Its a great car, and not very expensive.

I just got this car so I needed to see this
i am just obsessed with your videos
Just bought this
GM should've been bringing their European cars over to America MUCH sooner. What a beautiful car!
YES Short testdrive, AWSOME!
@Zinizzle It sounds like a pain in the ass to changed it out but would an aftermarket gasket help it live a little longer?
I think the coolest part about this car is the actual 3-Prong power outlet. And I'm glad that GM finally got the message that the interiors of their cars sucked; the recent interiors are GIANT improvements over interiors of GM cars 2007 and older.
thank you Opel
interior is sweet, and yeah a boost gauge would have been nice
شكلها متواضع من الخلف
Great video Kyle!!!!!!

This is a really nice Buick. I'll keep my BMW, but this is a great car from Buick.
What a sweet car! GM is coming back and I love it! Thanks for all the hard work on your vids Kyle!
I just bought this same exact car but I different color and I was thinking their was something wrong with my engine but I see they all make that sound
hey saabkyle04 I like your video of a 2011 buick regal glx.
Love this car, but i still don't understand why GM put the lock/unlock button on the centre console. It's just awkward there
@furlano7 I agree, I am 18, and have owned a '97 LeSabre and loved it, I also own a '77 Buick LeSabre. Buick is by far my favorite brand of car. I would love to get a '87 GN, or Reatta or a late 90's Riviera. You can't beat a Buick. I would trade my VW Jetta for a Buick in a heartbeat.
YES!!! I love this car!!
hello kyle, great videos you make .. I wonder is Skoda available in America and if it is could you find some at car dealer to get full indepht tour
@MyRandomReviews I hope after college, I get to work on those Buick's. I love the Regals, & Lacrosse.
With my 2011 Buick cxl turbo . My right headlight went out. Took it to Buick they charge 352$ 3 months later other went out. nice vid man never miss your vids that one looks like the chevy cruze

nice car, nice review, nice video kyle... keep up the good work :D
underrated car but very popular in the Asian market particularly China of all places
Buicks new line of cars are spectacular I love this car but I must check out the new lacrosse b4 I make my decision.
My cousin has a 2011 Silver Turbo. I love it so much, I think I might trade in my car for the Verano Turbo.
Hey Kyle,
Could you please review the MK6 GTI? I'm interested in getting that car as my first car, but I want to know more about the car.
Thanks!
That Motor does have a unique sound. Very nice. Surprised Buick didn't put a "boost" or "turbo" gauge. Either way, sounds like it has great power.
Which is a better buy. This or the 2011 ford Taurus ?
You can definitely hear the turbo!
Make sure you do a video of the Regal GS next year!
you always find good music in this videos hehe
O Epic was on the radio. One of my favorite songs.
you didnt do the rev with the door closed!!! but the test drive more then made up for that so its good on that video. and how tall are you cause you looked pretty cramped in the backseat which i hear is not really that small
Wow most of the comments are from 10 years ago! I looked up this car because i want to buy one lol ... maybe im a little late to the party -2021
Can you make a review for galant 2010 ? I think of buying it
was that car you test drove generally quiet? People say Buick's are really quiet but from the test drive I really couldn't tell...
this may be the first GM car that I like.
@komit73 I see you havent driven a turbo engine yet. This car has 220 hp and 350 Nm or torque from 2000 rpm. Is this basically a super nice Cobalt?
lol this is my Opel Insignia, you should hear the sound of the 2,0 liter Turbodiesel automatik 160 hp, you can hear the whistle of the turbine : D
Does this car comes with the blow off valve (stock)
@jjunfer skoda is not available in the states i am afraid. The closest you can get to a skoda in the states are the VWs (most models share the same base) and some really rare self-imports (only old cars AFAIK)
hey kyle u don't do test drive no more why? i love that car
You are better than top gear
beautiful car
Wow 220hp!!? My '95 Taurus SHO V6 has 220 horses....... Thank you for the video's.
Can you do a 2011 Ford Edge? The one with the My 4 touch?
Kyle! Do the foam over your microphone thing ive been telling you about for ages! It will help! Just try it!
Thinking about swapping one of these 200 + horsepower turbo 4 bangers into a Fiero when they start hitting the junkyards.
@geedunk13 it is a buick version of the vauxhall insignia
@Duratec86 The GS might have it, im guessing an Auto Meter one.
Nice Opel
Sorry for commenting again :D but you just made me diside which car i am to get !! :D
been lookin forward to this vid i think the regal re-design though it should atleast have a V6
I really want a Buick Regal 2.0T in silver. Does anyone know when the six speed will be available?
@wasupchristo This has nothing to do with the Cruze, the Cruze is a Daewoo Lacetti Premiere, subcompact platform. The Regal is an Opel/Vauxhall Insignia which is a mid-size platform.
I hate the fact that a lot of newer GM cars have the lock on the dash.
But that is one nice looking car.
But its not like the Regal used to be RWD with a v8 :(
In fact,is an Opel Insignia
they need to make a grand national version
@Zinizzle I've had a fuse be blown. Alarm would not shut off until I disconnected the battery. I had the 2007 Buick Rendezvous. I can't say, maybe 30-40k miles. I switched to Ford. Same for Chevy, when the Impala came, ready with the check, they drove up the 'Impala', when ready to leave, they tried to cheat me and gave the the Malibu.
can u do another vid on ur genesis

Oh, and you're right about Astons.
عاملة زي الساب ٩٥.يعنى نركب انى واحدة فيهم
what are the flashing lights for?
@Stereophile11 Better yet, have him do a video explaining the friction wear that happens because of the revving instead.
I Would So Drive That To High School !
702Truee i have one, its pretty dam great
@Maserati7200 Nothing bad about FWD in this car. It handles very good. Its available with 4x4 too.
This would have been the platform of the Oldsmobile Alero.
Do thesecar companies expect u to fill a brand new vehicle up once purchased
@HAXORGR This car is an insignia however rebranded buick regal for the US.
@krakmxer - You had me on there for a second! :D
@Zinizzle not really gm's fault, whoever replaced it must have done it wrong whether it was you or a mechanic.
Nice. The Who. Win.....oh and the Buick is nice too :-P
What was the Buick at 0:24?
Looks exactly like the GTA 4 BOGT Car! :P
@Zinizzle Well if that's the case, then you should know that head gaskets is a very common repair on all vehicles with high mileage.
Buick Regal CXL Turbo ; 7,511L/100km in city,8500L/100km on highway.
what's the matter? buick didn't wanna put 2 port holes on each side??
@90Mrknowitall But this one is the Turbo and he's doing a full review here
WMG must have relaxed their restrictions cause now you let the songs play much longer.
@MyRandomReviews Thanks, I'm going to be one of the best mechanic/technician out there.
yep i think he has done another one exacly like this one its right over in the featured video section LOL
Wow, they gave you a Turbo without the Interactive Drive Control System option...
@ktonlai But the thing is, when i say quality, I dont mean just reliability, because reliability of a car depends 99% on the owner of the car. @MyRandomReviews That's the new Buick Lacrosse.
