It's always seemed to me that the core of most black communities is the church.
I think of church choirs, I think of gospel music, I think of slaves singing spirituals, looking to God to free their people from oppression 150 years ago.
I think of Dr.Martin Luther King, a minister, leading a peaceful movement giving glory to God in all of his speeches, and his message that we are all children of God, and therefore equal.
I remember when every black artist would thank Jesus when they received a award.
Drive through any black neighborhood in America and you will find a church on almost every corner.
I am not surprised to see that many black folks in the comments here were disgusted by the 2023 Grammy awards show.

Well deserved!!! People of all ages and backgrounds listen to the Harry Styles album and love it. Many sing, have fun and vibrate with H's lyrics. All of his shows are sold out! An artist who is close to his audience. H, brings the audience closer to him. He is kind, considerate, interested and respectful. It's not just virtual, distant, releasing music and creating clips and that's it. Harry works and works. Go where the people are. Promotes interaction with clips at shows.
Make music and share it with your audience. He simply deserves it. He works hard for it. And we went to H's house many times. And from 0 to 100 years old, everyone listens and likes his album. He sings a lot.

Mainly, where several great artists are indicated. If Beyoncé didn't win again, it's not Harry's fault. This year Harry deserved it. It was the most listened album. The world doesn't just revolve in North America. I think color has nothing to do with talent, work, recognition. I think finding excuses and looking for culprits is very easy. I think Beyoncé is a queen, she broke records yesterday. Should have worked more on her album. There is no debating her talent and that of all the nominees. She is queen and amazing.
