Hi there! I was interested in getting the data for all U.S. cities. I’ve been digging into U.S. census data for a while now and I’m having trouble matching any geographical classification to your data. My assumption was that you used the "places" in the us 2020 decennial census, but in Rhode Island, for example, the census only shows 36 places (or 34 in 2010). However, your table shows a total of 62 places, which doesn’t match what I’m finding in the census data or other sources like Google or citypopulation, which consistently show 39 administrative regions or lower numbers. I would love to know how you got the 62 places for Rhode Island?
Apparently the data source used by this quiz is the US Census Bureau "Gazetteer Files" which you should be able to find online. It seems to include some neighborhood/village names on top of the names of the municipalities that might contain those places.
I've done this quiz a few times, but I don't remember my results for the entire US. I did name exactly 1000 cities in Texas, but there's only a few other states that I can name over a hundred cities in.
That is absolutely insane
idk I think you might be from Montana...
this is insanely impressive! now do the world haha
Got got that doing every city on the world quiz😭
Ok but did you try New York City or Topeka, KS?
I can maybe name like 5-6 maybe 7 so this is pretty darn impressive
I can nname 200*
*Includes duplicates
Name About 500-670
I can name about 125.
Never mind. It’s about 150+
I can name 536
I'm not from the US but I do watch the NBA which is why I usually tend to just put the name of the cities in the league

Inspiring! Awesome video!
Your Montana coverage is amazing... some of those places literally have 14 people!
That's extremely impressive! I learned all 2,093 municipalities of my country (Austria) and that felt like my limit
