Theres a thing you can do with videos on RUclips, I don’t know if you know, but you can do something that’s called skipping ahead. It’s not that hard. Well he's not wrong. He mentioned three but he only demonstrated one of them.
Because the first one was completely self-explanatory. I.e extracting vocals that have no background music means no extraction is needed.. He then actually demonstrated the 2 main methods for pulling vocals from the instrumentals, not just one.

i got so invested into the vlog that when it got to the tutorial i was like "oh yeah i forgot"
The best results of the third method (beat/phase inversion) depends on a few things. Firstly, the instrumental version of the track should be of the same, or very similar in sound quality, to the full version w vocals. Second, when you line up the tracks together to reverse the polarity, make sure to sync them as perfectly as you can. Sometimes they do not line up 100% and you can hear the unwanted audio louder. Try to move the track slightly left or right, depending where it's off. You can hear if they sync up correctly.. It can be a bid tedious, lol

That's why we do videos right? Specially a tech feature like Phase Inversion. only someone with Sound Engineering background will understand PI. Most don't even know what are frequencies or if you say Audible frequency spectrum. So your video will be appreciated by more if you actually put in more visuals. Cheers.

EQing is the best way of doing it if you are remixing something or doing your own cover
backing track and either you can't sing or/and can't afford to hire session singers or if covering
something that is sung by children. I'm talking about for non profit use obviously. But videos like
this help me to understand EQ better. These EQeing techniques should work the same for any DAW
that has a parametric equalizer.
