It is so good that Prime is getting this exposure. I love his old-school attitude combined with the swagger. Being from Nebraska, I wish they would have selected him for his coach. But, now I'll be rooting for him and his "kids" at CU. For me, Prime is going beyond being a coach. His message of the pursuit of excellence and logicical consistency is something that I hope spreads throughout the greater culture.

I watched this man play baseball and football his entire career when I was a kid growing up. He was unreal. I show my son his highlights in both sports. Prime and Bo arguably the greatest professional athletes ever.
So I was a student athletic trainer at FSU back in the day, and one day the football team ran 40s. Coach Eason (WRs) was timing and I recorded the times. Deion was on our list and out of 10 runs, he ran 4.2 at least three times . . . pretty sure he jogged on the other 7.
They say records n stuff but only for pro athlete bro I ran 40 in 3.9 twice n 4.1 6 times timed ever time I woulda went pro ain’t been for politic bro it’s a shame man

I saw Deion go from first to third faster than any one I've ever seen in a baseball uniform. Incredible. I often wonder just how good he could have been had he concentrated solely on baseball. But let me tell you, he was very good regardless as a MLB player.

I remember seeing his documentary where they talked about him as a two sport super star. It was fascinating. In 1 day he played a football game then that evening hooped on a plane and played a NFL game that same day. Amazing guy! Love his passion about sports.

I don't even care about the racial connotations of it... the fact that it's a rip-off chant and most current Braves fans think it's an Atlanta original is embarrassing. Also, you might recall the Braves activated him for the 1991 postseason and he wouldn't play because he wanted to focus on football. I remember watching Prime play in two different games. As a kid it was amazing you knew Prime was different and this was the time during Micheal Jordan even then you knew Prime was a supreme athlete right up there with the best of the times.

What Coach Prime said is in a lot of us who are non-professional athletics, as well as obviously being a hallmark of professional athletes. Not liking to lose. The losing is frustrating. Wanting to gain mastery...expertise...fluency of that sport, profession or career. This ep got a thumbs up as soon as he said that.
I remember Deion playing for my Cowboys 🤠. Loved him. And still do. One of my favorite players all times next right up there with Charles Hailey, L.T. and John Riggins. I know the last 2 weren't Cowboys but they were ballers.

Static stretching directly before athletics has been proven to diminish sprint speed and vertical leap for that day's competition. Static stretching is for AFTER youve already worked out that day
Obviously Baseball is harder. Pitching is the most amazing thing in team sports.... the movement, the repetition... Batting is obviously the hardest. Hitting a round sphere with a round cylinder... Crazy hard

That’s such an interesting perspective of why he wanted to go to Atlanta, but it makes a whole lot of sense. As a Niners fan, hated having him in the division before realignment, loved him when we won the Super Bowl, hated him with the Cowboys. One of the best cover corners of all time, so good that he could get away with being completely unable to tackle because he either picked the ball, had a PBU, or QB’s just avoided throwing anywhere near him.
Wish they would have pressed him more on the challenges of baseball. He's a freak, and I'm a big fan, but he looked so much faster playing football than baseball. Rounding bases and judging fly balls moving 100 mph he seemed just a little bit faster than the average peer on the diamond. Looked like he was in fast forward on the football field compared to the other players!
Baseball = Skill sport that requires much practice. Football = As a cornerback, you can be elite as long as you are a naturally great athlete. This kid that I went to elementary (6th grade) with was like my athletic clone. The only difference was he had a batting cage and pitching machine in his backyard, I lived in the projects and the team coach had to pay my $20 registration fee. Athletically = Even Baseball > he was the best player in our 11-12 year old league where I was like the 10th best. That kid ended up as a college All-American/All-SEC 3rd baseman on the 1996 LSU baseball team what won the National Championship.
Keep telling yourself that the only reason you did not achieve what your “clone” did was, because you did not have that batting cage in your back yard. Plenty of college, major/minor leaguers never had that and they made it.

The arrogant snobs in MLB looked down on him not because he was great, but he because he KNEW THAT HE WAS GREAT. The most entertaining football player ever. If we’re truly serious about preparing our kids for life and not just football then what better job to take than GT. I’m over there a lot when the high school summer camp is going on. Deion could build a pipeline early and connect with parents about the importance of being prepared academically. I believe it would truly be a game changer beyond football.

I remember seeing his documentary where they talked about him as a two sport super star. It was fascinating. In 1 day he played a football game then that evening hooped on a plane and played a NFL game that same day. Amazing guy! Love his passion about sports.

Please don't speak on behalf of an entire city. I've lived in Atlanta my entire life and Deion brought the completely stupid Tomahawk Chop to the Braves from his FSU days. I don't even care about the racial connotations of it... the fact that it's a rip-off chant and most current Braves fans think it's an Atlanta original is embarrassing. Also, you might recall the Braves activated him for the 1991 postseason and he wouldn't play because he wanted to focus on football. The Braves went on to lose that World Series in 7 games where every game was close and they could have used an elite speedster in the late innings. Thanks, Deion!

I am not going to lie, I thought he was full of himself when i was younger. I have totally changed my mind about him over the past few years because of what he has been doing as a coach and father figure to those kids. It was easy not to like him, because he seemed to get away with lots of things that most players would not get away with... Now I see him in a new light and I wish him the best and I hope he becomes the best College coach ever! Can't wait for next season!

Deion Sanders was a total handful on the Braves but man...when he was on, there was nobody else you'd rather watch take the field. I still get chills thinking of him legging out a triple. It was a joy to see him improve his game to where he wasn't just a stunt player but a real asset for the team.

What Coach Prime said is in a lot of us who are non-professional athletics, as well as obviously being a hallmark of professional athletes. Not liking to lose. The losing is frustrating. That’s such an interesting perspective of why he wanted to go to Atlanta, but it makes a whole lot of sense. As a Niners fan, hated having him in the division before realignment, loved him when we won the Super Bowl, hated him with the Cowboys.
One of the best cover corners of all time, so good that he could get away with being completely unable to tackle because he either picked the ball, had a PBU, or QB’s just avoided throwing anywhere near him.
Wish they would have pressed him more on the challenges of baseball. He's a freak, and I'm a big fan, but he looked so much faster playing football than baseball. Rounding bases and judging fly balls moving 100 mph he seemed just a little bit faster than the average peer on the diamond. Looked like he was in fast forward on the football field compared to the other players!

Baseball is a sport you have to start and stay with at a young age to be successful. Anybody that can run fast or is big will be on the football team.
Baseball = Skill sport that requires much practice.
Football = As a cornerback, you can be elite as long as you are a naturally great athlete.
This kid that I went to elementary (6th grade) with was like my athletic clone. The only difference was he had a batting cage and pitching machine in his backyard, I lived in the projects and the team coach had to pay my $20 registration fee.
Athletically = Even
Baseball > he was the best player in our 11-12 year old league where I was like the 10th best.
That kid ended up as a college All-American/All-SEC 3rd baseman on the 1996 LSU baseball team what won the National Championship.

The arrogant snobs in MLB looked down on him not because he was great, but he because he KNEW THAT HE WAS GREAT. The most entertaining football player ever. @@Brandbmy1979 Yes it does, but mathematical concepts are not that difficult once you learn the multiple equations related to the subject. Student athletes also have 24 hour tutoring available as well.
@Brandon Young yes the academics were mentioned as well. But here’s my feeling on that. If we’re truly serious about preparing our kids for life and not just football then what better job to take than GT. I’m over there a lot when the high school summer camp is going on. Deion could build a pipeline early and connect with parents about the importance of being prepared academically. I believe it would truly be a game changer beyond football.

Bo was definitely better at baseball than Deion but Deion is the best at his position in football or top 3 at the very least. A true shutdown CB with amazing closing speed.
