Hey man I’ve been watching your channel since I was 8 years old I’m now 20 years old and whenever I’m feeling down I search your channel on RUclips and watch your videos you make my day a whole lot better man thank you and keep trucking and keep up the good work..
Awesome vídeos you have been putting out. I traveled that I-80 for 15 years and it never got easier during the winter. There would be some of those super truckers that would blow by and in the ditch down the road. That ol boy thats talking on the cb thats in front of you, he knows his stuff for sure. Stay safe from Eastern Montana.
There are always dumbasses that just FLY DOWN THE ROAD... I've got no sympathy for clowns, fools nor idiots like that... Stay safe little brother and just take your time.. It's definitely NOT a race...
Lmao you Canadian drivers think y’all are the dogs of winter driving huh. Ice is ice. Y’all can’t drive on it any better then the next person big rigger.
Uhhh, that's gonna be a solid "No, thank you, please" from me. Thank you for being able & willing to drive in that mess and doing such a fine job of it, too. Stay safe out there and I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
I ran I-80 back in the 90's and come Winter you had better put on your Big Boy pants cuz it was White Knuckle across good old slick Windy Wonderful Wyoming... 👌
Problem is Dakota I’m sure it’s a pain wearing the GoPro or not listening to music the whole time you film (guess headphones are an option but I think illegal 🤷🏻♂️) and your out there doing the damn thing got your career back again and focused on driving ect. BUT BROTHER YOU GOT A GIFT WITH THIS FILMING GIG! I never trucked, or thought about it, yet I find myself trying to replace your videos with others trying to do what you so naturally did. Keep on making them man every week we look forward to it as fans and there’s no one doing it like this channel was 2 years ago. That’s another thing man it was like when you got back in the truck you made a lot of folks happy. Again man if you can force yourself to do it, I’m sure you can regrow this channel and get it bigger than ever. Gotta have frequent vids though. All the angles are cool man , this long hood shot is probably my favorite, easiest for viewing out. But the passenger seats kinda cool sometimes just too high and hard to see out. The head mount is awesome though all around. Put a little extra cash in your pocket for the retirement fund and I know you like buying rides hahaha ok man hope to see that shiny large car out there on the hwy some day. You were real close going to so cal Costco that’s about 20min away actually. Out in Yucaipa off I-10, take it easy c’mon
I never used the foot just the hand (retarder) brakes in snow and ice. I was crossing a bridge in Pa. on black ice, the trailer started sideways, grabbing the hand brakes the trailer straightened the whole truck out. It gets to be a habit using the retarders in the mountains hauling coal even on dry land.
That’s right. Some of these trucks nowadays don’t have a hand brake. The few times I had the trailer try to come around, I just got in the gas a little…stay ahead of that trailer and it will get back in line c’mon
I drove through several stretches like this on my way home from the east coast last year. I saw the signs warning not to drive and decided to race it. I think the strategy mostly succeeded. I had some very bad areas, all of the rest stops were jam packed and trucks were parked on the shoulder going up the road from the stop. I can't imagine driving a big rig in that, it was bad enough in an SUV. I managed to stay ahead of the worst of it, but hit it again closer to Chicago and encountered ice in Wisconsin. Very dangerous and adventurous drive.
I'm on edge just watching. Just found out that you're back this morning. Hype. I'm about to be back trucking too. Keep it up brother, hope I see you out there someday
Do you run with the power divider locked in those conditions? I'm long time Northeast fuel hauler. I'd keep that axle locked the whole time running in greezy stuff. Helps keep Jake from locking a wheel on slick sh*t. Stay safe driver! C'mon beek...
I missed this post hmmm 🤔 Anyways watching it on my tv at home and so tense just watching, after all these years driving, black ice is something that makes me sweat, because is not always up to you. All those who go fly by you just makes it worse for me ofcourse Well, watching... be safe!!!!! Keep sunny side up!! ❤🙏
Not sure if you’ll see this man but I got a question for ya! What’s the name of that Google maps GPS you got setup? The large screen. You know what I mean. Wanna buy one but i can’t find the name.
I've never understood why people wanna run 45-65 mph in piss poor conditions. The lack of common sense is bewildering... Those are usually the people that don't own their s shit
How else are you suppose to slow the truck down when gravity is pushing you down that hill ? The myth of not using Jake's in the snow or rain is ridiculous don't go beyond level 2 and you're good
I have just one question what happened to the lucky go happy guy that was on before he had his dmv problems, that’s the driver I love watching bring him back.
@@borklaser6394besides when I went through it was worse. All the super truckers with 379s were going slower than I was. So nice try pal. I’ll go whatever speed I want to go. I stay in my lane go around and I’ll see you in the ditch later on
why american trucks dont have extra lights in eu in nordic countrys scanias and volvos have 4 or even 8 extra lights in the winter when its almost 24h dark they help a lot but i have seen that many american truckers drive through blizzard and back roads at night using no extra lights and having zero wisibility
That was the morning! lol was already sitting for 14 hours and there was more bad weather coming it was ether park my bags and face the storm or set up shop for a week! lol
im a retired over the road driver of 50 years i dont miss that shit good to see you on the road again love your vids be carefull out there
Same here bro 38 yrs trucking retired now definitely don't miss winters on the road miles away from home

Spent many winters in the 90s dragging my pete across 80. Don't miss the fog and ice. Safe trip brother. Love your channel

Canadian Extreme Sports here on the west coast with all the snow/ice hitting the #16, #5, #1 and #3.

Glad ur back at it Ole buddy have a safe trip
GOOD TO SEE YOU DRIVING AGAIN.
I hated that run from Marshfield to Frisco in the winter when I was OTR. Especially with a light load.
So glad you are back driving❤
Just finished watching the entire post
Kudos... I know it was exhausting, takes forever to get anywhere.
Hope all is well
Keep warm and SAFE ❤

When it’s snowing hard and wind going same speed as you with snow makes for uncomfortable 😳 conditions.
I can't believe you would use the jake coming down them hills on I80??? Crazy shit brother!!!😮😮

Bruh.. wake up ⏰
Still happy and go lucky lol just been working on life and stuff. I’m still here just still trying to get back in the video grove
Greasy roads. Be careful
Yea I went through there couple days ago and it was bad. I was going maybe 28 and there was a prime truck that hit or got hit with another truck
50 mph or better or stay off the road it's drivers like you that cause drivers to slam on the brakes and jacknife ending up in the ditch
