    I'll have to try this because my Persil detergent even though it works is mad expensive.

      Use less amount of Persil, I found that when I use Tide or Persil I use less than half of the recommended amount

    • @ilovegoodsax

      I've been using Persil for about two year now and have found you don't need to use as much as the instructions indicate. Persil is VERY concentrated and a little goes a long way.

    Thank you. I've watched a few of these other dollar tree & dollar tree detergent videos and this video did the best job at explaining how to get the best from your cheap detergent. Plus you support it with other sources so good job. I'll have to give them a try & see how they hold up!

    I love Gain powder. I pretreat stains with Spray N Wash and let them sit until wash day. I will add borax for extra dirty loads, but usually Gain and Spray N Wash do the job for me.

    I know exactly what you mean, well, I do agree that a cheap detergent need more pre-treaters and stain removers to help their job. Some people may see it as a con but you know when your detergents plus pre-treaters above are cheaper than one small bottle of Tide, why don't give it a try?

    wow, what I liked about this video is you are telling the truth, but most people I come across at the laundry mat don't care about rules and instructions (it's not there machine so why should they care) You very wise, and you are surrounded by wise people.

    I always used the cheap stuff, until I was forced into buying Tide because of store location, and being short on time.. I had no idea how dirty I looked. the cheap stuff did about nothing. I will buy Tide, or any other top brand from now on. Thanks for the video.

      Yeah don’t get me wrong tide works and my mom still buys it till this day but I just think people should consider other options to see if it works for them. Plus the truth is, it’s more about the machine itself than the actual detergent but that’s a whole nothing video

    The wool wash is meant for hand washing in the sink. I suppose you could use it in the washing machine on the hand wash setting but it really is meant to soak in a sink.

    One other thing about using baking soda is that too much on even heavily soiled clothes it can erode them, use only a scoop like your oxi scoop, borax is even more so, also with bleach I never use more than a quarter cup, and with concentrated bleach even less, except moldy or musty clothes and with all these product I put them in with the water at a small load setting and let agitate for a minute before adding clothes, as for smelly clothes a capful or more of oil soap helps

  • @26alexther

    Does the power oxygen from dollar tree, bleaches clothes?? Its because I want to mix with other detergent but not sure. TY.. very informative video

    • @thecleanpsycho
      @thecleanpsycho  Год назад +1

      In my experience no because it is an oxygen based bleach & not a chlorine based bleach. But, with every chemical, you should test it on a small area of clothes before you use it on the entire garment.

    • @thecleanpsycho

    Thank you so very much for explaining about using to much laundry detergent in the washing machine. It can break down the machine.. I was in the public laundry mat washing. This customer put to much laundry detergent to the machine. It was so much soap until the owner had to wash the laundry twice. Plus had to use fabric softener to remove a lot of the soap suds. Please don't put a lot of soap in the machine.

    I don't think it comes in a free and clear variety buthe the Tandel From Aldi ( Red) Is very highly rated and is made by P&G. It's literally thoroughly a dupe of Tied. I would probably pass on the one in the blue bottle because it's a doop of Purex Which is not the high a end of detergent. Also also some of the cheaper detergents cause cause fading and fibers 2 fuzz. I personally believe there's not one detergenthat's perfect across the board for every application. For instance my regiment for for having the most perfect and bright whites are to use one Purcell pod + 2 scoops of LA awesome Oxygenated bleach. I don't wear expensive expensive close close and in fact my favorite 2 places to shop for clotwas Sears, JC Penney and K mart And every shirt, Pair of pants, Jeans, etc And I can honestly say thalmost Every item still looks as if I just bought it yesterday and that's because I've always used either Now tied pods. The other stuff that is less impor is stuff that I wash over and over again I usually use Either the one from Aldi Or I'll buy All pods pods when when Publix puts them BOGO. I'm the only Cuban in the family that doesn't stink like Ariel or 🤬'n Fabuloso. The best way to boost any laundry detergents Performance is too simply soak your clothes overnight. And don't waste your money on any outside pre treit is because they are all garbage. The only pre treater you need is a little bit of oxy bleach With a little bit of water made into a paste and applied to the stain or to the area. America's test kitchen did a comparison several years back And I highly agree with their findings. They showed how most pre treators can only remove organic stains like from food or Georgia clay but the best at getting both organic and chemical stains was A Soaking in oxyclean and water. It's what keeps all my white Nike Cross trainers looking bright and white on top even if going a little bald on the bottom.

      When you said K-mart, it brought back memories. I agree with what you said besides the tandil brand being a dupe of the tide. I tested them back to back and tide original did better at stain removal. It was somewhat close but not to the point where I would personally recommend it over Tide. Persil is my favorite overall though when it comes to stain removal. But, thanks for sharing your experience!

    Now I feel I use to much input two of the scoops he uses of powder tide in the drum them I put two scoops in the holder plus soft er and two cap full of scent boosters

    • @thecleanpsycho
      @thecleanpsycho  3 года назад +1

      Well as long as your clothes turn out clean cool. I know people do laundry differently, but my point in making this video was just to make people aware of the fact that most people use to much detergent both liquid & powder which can aid in problems with close because most laundry manufacturers say that using too much detergent will have an negative affect on clothes. Plus at the end of the day it’s more about the washer then the actual detergent so if you have a very good washer you end of using even less detergent which will help clothes to stay as vibrant as possible for a longer period of time. But again I know people love their smells & all that but the goal should be to have clean clothes & not just fresh smelling clothes. Because if it’s clean it shouldn’t smell like much of anything but I get why people love al the fragrance.

    • @powdercleaningobsession29
      @powdercleaningobsession29 3 года назад +1

      @@thecleanpsycho I love the scent but sense my comment I stopped putting it in the drum for the simple fact I thought about the fact that what powder I put in the drum is being washed away with the first rinse anyway so it’s not really doing much for my close and it’s only costing me more product /money and being wasteful so I started just putting my beads in and a oxy clean cup full of detergent and it seems to be better I was looking for a way to make it more soapy but he washers don’t create a lot of soap I will admit I love a top load more then a front load now that I have a front load

    Purex detergent has no enzymes and it any that expensive. Is great for those with eczema! You can also use the oxi clean and soak stained clothing. I use a bucket, hot water and one scoop of oxi and leave it soak till the water is cold. Then wash it as normal.

    Can just oxi and the detergant be enough or do you recommend always using washing soda as well? I want to give this a try. Also if i want to try powder detergent like foca would i have to add anything extra ?

    • @thecleanpsycho
      @thecleanpsycho  Год назад +1

      Ok so there’s so much to unpack here but I’ll say this it all depends on your washer machine, & your water hardness. For most people oxi and detergent alone is enough to tackle their dirty clothes but if you have really hard water, the washing soda will help produce better results overall. When it comes to Foca or any new detergent, I’d say try a wash cycle with the detergent alone and see how it works for you. If it doesn’t clean to your liking, then add oxi or any other laundry booster to see how your results are. It’s honestly a lot of trail and error because everything is so individualized when it comes to washing laundry. Hopefully this helps
