Braxton is a solid swing tackle, and get give you solid starts, but he isn't pro bowl caliber, but if you put him next to 3 other guys that can start and play together every week, then maybe he can get us through 1 more year and he could still get stronger in off season
It seems like Brown prefers to watch the game and call it from upstairs. The one concern I would have with moving him to head coach is that they had so much of a change in energy and quality of playcalling and sequencing - granted, it's just one game - but do you disturb that by moving him to interim head coach after another week or so? Could he get a booth view fed to him on an iPad on the sideline, and continue to drive the offensive playcalling, while still performing the head coaching duties?
Good point! Does he have another OC buddy as good as him to bring in? Prob best to do in off-season if so. Brown can rally troops in practice but not on game day from booth, nor can he stop Flus' bonehead decisions this year.
It seems like Hightower gets a lot of blame here and should be on the hot seat himself. First, the Packers said they had a shot to block the FG based on the tape they watched. This should have been fixed or have the guys on alert at the very least. Second as Pat says Hightower should be in Flus's ear to get the ball to the right hash which is on both of them given Santos has been in Chicago for 3 years.
💲Lakefront stadium push is just posturing for better tax rates in Arlington. Prob is, they know this and both are at a standoff, calling each other's bluffs. Til then, nobody wins. Arlington loses out on several years of big revenue until it's built (bad look for current Arlington council) while Warren slowly decreases the eventual tax rate / gets more favorable councilmen in place to eventually secure the deal. Lakefront just creates public pressure on Arlington over time & despite claims, Bears aren't in a huge rush when overall tax savings are totalled out over the next 50 years. No councilman will be around that long. They'll settle eventually.
Gabe doesn't mention Packers lead the league in taking the ball away. And Packers actually play zone defense. Which means Caleb was passing to wide open receivers.
So Caleb didn’t turn the ball over against one of the best takeaway defenses and Caleb can dissect zone defense unlike trubisky or Justin…. He was also 8-10 against the blitz. Caleb is good go watch bustin warm the bench
First Chicago media wanted Justin Fields gone, then they want Getsy gone, then they want Eberflus gone, then they want Shane gone. As if Chicago city of champions. Bulls, Bears, White Sox, Cubs, Blackhawks? Bears play in Chicago Park District stadium. Really
All rookie QB'S are out playing Caleb stop the bs even Nix which is shocking and he has best situation ever for a rookie wasn't that the talking points all summer
Regardless of gaining more yards the kick was blocked. It could have been blocked if it was closer. Stop bitching bout more yards. The issue was the block and the lineman not holding his ground. Period.
The problem is they've known their kicker has a weak leg for how many seasons now? He has to kick it so low to get the distance. So yes those extra yards matter with a weak leg kicker
True, maybe a few % better if 5 yards closer or on right hash, whatever, but 0% chance of springing a bigger gain or TD when free opportunity or two are blatantly passed on.
Haha omg I can always find fields fanboys hiding at the barroom or pat the designers pods.,Justin was year freakin 3 and he’s on the bench now take the poster off your wall girl
@@Blackrain7920 yes and no. The other qbs have better coaching by far and are handling less at the line. Thats a truth go watch the film go watch Nate tice and Tom freakin Brady was commentating about it. I heard that and I have toddlers you need to pay attention better
Patrick Mannelly was an excellent guest!

Wtf he is our most consistent coach he should not be on the hot seat
Manneley mentioned how they weren't interlocking legs after the snap... a basic must-do, standard detail. 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Flush the Flus
Good show. Lead in is too long.

So what happened to Caleb vs Titans, Cardinals, and 2-7 Patriots?
Ahhh you have a low iq
Eberflus did a great job tanking for Caleb Williams.
Bears should go after the Colts Ryan Kelly who is an UFA.
Patrick unaware there are 9 current NFL teams that are 6 losses teams. Bears are hardly the worst in the league.
Should not be any Comfort in Losing!!
Matt Eberflus has fired 8 coaches on his staff!!!!🐻🐻🐻😡😡😡

Eberflus chose Caleb as starter for this season without any competition. isn't that being aggressive

Bears looked good because Packers generally don't apply pressure.
They blitzed him 8 times also did you not see the 3 and 19
Panthers fired him last year thats why he is in Chicago
Eberflus is the worst HC in the NFL stats prove it in addition to ruining one QB while trying to do the same to Caleb.
He’s 70 for 70 Aldo
Patrick lying Caleb was out played by Maye

Totally agree with Aldo regarding Warren. He's screwing up the stadium issue. And I believe that was the primary reason he was hired.
Every Bears podcast makes needless effort to smear Fields. Despite Caleb having the best WRs and all pro RB as a rookie.
Let it go, and concern yourself with the current state of affairs of the Chicago Bears.
