I worked at lowes bakery and bade there for a few months. My grandfither worked the trawler boats likely launched via the harbour. Tory's always felt different fae the rest of Aiberdeen like a completely independent toon. Such a fascinating area. Rare doc by the way!
So sad now fishing trawlers finished fish houses gone few left, oil not doing well so both industry have suffered badly, mind when Aberdeen had 3 markets a day (fish) SAD
Very interesting. I know people living in the properties in Abbey Road, Fisher Square. They will be delighted to see footage of how their house used to be.
I bade in Buchan Road. We were surrounded by family. The Milne's fae Buchan Terrace and the Thompsons, formerly Farquar Road. All in the fishing industry.
