    Aberdeen now.Lordy they fecked it up. Demolished the best and built far,far worse. Like so many places, I suppose.

    I worked at lowes bakery and bade there for a few months. My grandfither worked the trawler boats likely launched via the harbour. Tory's always felt different fae the rest of Aiberdeen like a completely independent toon. Such a fascinating area. Rare doc by the way!

    So sad now fishing trawlers finished fish houses gone few left,oil not doing well so both industry have suffered badly,mind when Aberdeen had 3 markets a day (fish) SAD

    Very interesting. I know people living in the properties in Abbey Road, Fisher Square. They will be delighted to see footage of how their house used to be.

    I used to live in Victoria road Tory and worked at Tom Wilson fish house and joe littles and went to London in 1972/3
    I miss Aberdeen

    I bade in Buchan Road. We were surrounded by family. The Milne's fae Buchan Terrace and the Thompsons, formerly Farquar Road. All in the fishing industry.

    Aye, I remember at Glenbervie Road near the Salvation Army and going to Walker Road schhol being taught by Miss Hallcrow. Then Torry Secondary, now an Academy. Am 83 now.

    I'm a Torry quine, my mother, Grandmother and Great Grandfather all having lived in Menzies Road. I am a Reid, and my cousins would be Mairs, Craigs and others who still live in Torry. My son too his father being from Torry too...I live in London though lol! I went to Walker Road school. Our first house was at 24 Walker Road. My dad was a marine engineer and was the Technical Director at Wood Groups Don Fishing Co. at Point Law.

    I remember on my school dinner break my nana,ma & my aunties used tae go doon tae Torry and you’d see aw the fish workers waiting & queuing for theyre dinner at Torry teapot and Aitkin,s baker & Low,s the baker,nean oh that nooh,bk en aabody kint abody ,such a shame 😢

    My ggg Grandparents - James andMargaret Duncan, lived in Torry Village Public House in School Road in 1861.

      I haven't been been up there for ages I lived in Buchan Road. My husband was a top filleter.

    I’m a Torry quinne threw & threw but like every where else it’s nae fit it was cause such a shame,lot of history and it’s nae being recognised,such a shame 😢

    Torry isnae wit it used tae be,remembering walking doon Vicky road on my school dinner break wee my ma,nana,my Aunties and you’d see ahh the fish workers getting er dinners fae The Torry teapot and aitken,s baker & Low,s the baker,neen oh that now and it’s such a shame and sad tae see 😢
