Introduction to Medieval Aberdeen. Ali Cameron

Ali spent 24 years working in Aberdeen City Council on some amazing digs. This is an introduction to the medieval town including summaries of the digs at the friaries: Greyfriars, Blackfriars and White friars.

Very interesting. I worked on the construction of the St Nicholas centre and bon accord centre. I think it was the St Nicholas centre where one of the digger drivers dug up one or two pots of coins. He filled his pockets and his pockets were actually bulging with the amount of coins he took, he put them in his car and took them away at the end of his shift.

Super interesting! Love looking in to the history of the city. Mental to think all the stuff that happened back then & what's under our feet. Sad that not much survives, especially the castle.
